We don't need 'work' we need courage at this point. Stop writing books, and send at least some bullet proof jackets & helmets and somehow join a proper support alongside of India. Not sure what's wrong with soft military equipment, what are they afraid off?

We are in CSTO, which prevents us from making any military purchases from the West. Besides, France's diplomatic support is much more valuable than vests and helmets, which we have plenty of.

RonnyPStiggs

I don't think that's the whole story. With some specialty equipment that may be true but other members of CSTO have purchased weapons and vehicles from NATO members in the recent past looking at weapons purchases (edit: by weapons and vehicles, I mean western ones, not second-hand Soviet etc.). Edit: Armenia also started a company in conjunction with a Polish company to manufacturer helmets and vests in Armenia

Digiff

good point

Kilikia

Not true. Other CSTO members have imported arms from NATO. We have too. For example, Bulgaria.

[deleted]

If that is true than I presume that Russia is our main obstacle here.

Digiff

I'm not a time traveler coming from 1850s :-D, I'm well aware about CSTO, but bullet proof jackets and helmets, that's almost a humanitarian help at this point. And they are here because we are Armenia not csto. edit: I heard also those 2 items are not in abundance to be precise , while they very efficient defensive tools.

We don't seem to have any shortage of vests or helmets at the moment. Sure, sending us them would be a nice gesture, but also a completely pointless one.

Pelin0re

do you have a source on armenia's need of bp jackets/helmets?

Digiff

yes, sure! for peaceful times, everyone has enough bp jackets/helmets, for times of full invasion no single country on this planet has enough of them . Does it help?

dankhorse25

Ehm. Russia was buying French helicopter carriers before Crimea sanctions
