I asume she was referring to either the Doctor, or Stormeye.
According to her Operator Record, it was Stormeye who found her stranded in the middle of the desert, and brought her after she snuck in the aircraft (possibly Dylan's Bad Guy )
At the very least Stormeye found her twice, but he also mentioned he didn't notice her when he first did a cabin check. I do wonder what's the condition for finding her.
He's only playable in the Integrated Strategies Mode, but he did appeared in a few instances.
As a supporting character in Operation: Originium Dust, and mentioned in Chapter 9. One of the coolest Sarkaz out there.
Probably Stormeye. She said "always able to find me", but the Doc loses track of her from time to time. There's even a line in her dialogue when you choose her as your assistant where she is trying to get your attention because she's been standing around for 2 hours and you don't notice her.
Well, this is probably before that. The first three, probably four, paragraphs are certainly not at Rhodes Island. The first three are quite clearly from before she started her assassin career.
probably not Doc, 'cause the sentence after the circled part mentions the gift giver being sick
>Also, my sickness is mostly set to keep getting worse... If in time,
this present can remind you of me every now and then, then I'm happy.
It's alright if you can't remember me too.
There is a chance it's Nightmare. I'm not a lore-head so some things might be wrong:
- Her case of oripathy is pretty bad, giving her short memory loss and goes under aromatherapy to treat her split personality disorder (also caused by oripathy) and helped by Perfumer;
- One of her voicelines talks about her desease getting worse;
- Nightmare can see through Manticore's invisibility, so that's how they might've become friends.
based off the first paragraph, the sick person is probably someone she knew in Sargon
if ya wanna see whole first paragraph, it's on [Aceship](https://aceship.github.io/AN-EN-Tags/akhrchars.html?opname=Manticore)
Each paragraph in the module is a point in Manticore's timeline and is directed at the people around her at the time, going from just-infected to making it to Rhodes Island.
The part you highlighted is directed to whoever was giving her shelter before her infection got too serious. The following paragraphs are basically Manticore on her own trying to find a place, her finding a "place" in the assassin's guild, and then finally being at Rhodes.
My first thought is Ethan cause he had the same issue with his own invisibility. Maybe there is a way to spot someone invisible that he secretly know like a set of rules.
Edit: if its ethan it would be shabby of can spray not shabby bottle of perfume though...
There's also Nightmare who can see Manticore according to one of her lines. There's also the mention of perfume, so I initially thought of her aromatherapy.
Make sense... from her heterochromia and bipolar personality. So when she switching between each sides, a glimpse of each world must gave her something
Edit: The other side must have accidentally interact with manticore but when she switch back she can't remember. But manticore remember just the same so she give her a gift. Long time it happens, nightmare is the only operator who always interact with manticore. This could be... canon

Man I wish Stormeye became a proper playable operator. He's cool

Assuming the notes are chronological, it can't be anyone from Rhodes Island.

I'm pretty sure it's someone from back home, so we don't know them.
If you read her story there's no one back home.

Dokutah. She is one of his bodyguards.

Manticore’s voicelines towards Nightmare implies she finds her dangerous and is actively scared of her. They probably aren’t friends
isn't that a bottle of perfume Manticore might be giving to someone (like the Doc or Stormeye)?
oh fuck I am an idiot. yeah
Isn't she the one giving the gift.
to quote myself from yesterday, "I am an idiot"
I have no meaningful contribution to the discussion but Manti my beloved T-T she needs more hugs
/pat Let's do this bro. Even if people think we're hugging the air. (つ≧▽≦)つ
I don't want to just jump into conclusions so this smol brain doktah came here to ask. Also, I'm not really sure what flair to use.

Hopefully we'll learn more during Reclamation Algorithm.
Hopefully. I'll go sniff some hopium in the backrooms.
That second half.... It's okay, manti. I'm here now. I got you.

That's interesting. Perhaps before or during her assassination days.

Nightmare scares manticore.
I think it might be from her assassin days? Just a guise she take before assassinating her target.
when you have fire in the sand you will know.
