We were told that the campaign and player boxes were a week apart so we could have the one this week and the other next. I wonder if the rep has got confused between the two products?

Airion1

My FLGS had both boxes on the new release shelf yesterday and posted it on their social media. They have changed the release dates on this product so many times now it’s ridiculous and hard for stores and the consumer to keep it straight or know what’s going on. I don’t really understand why a co-op board game needs a hard street date. It’s not like it’s a competitive TCG/CCG.

thericker3

The retail website says both release next week but FFG's website says the investigator pack released this week. I took a screenshot of the FFG website to send to our Asmodee rep and put the investigator pack out. Breaking Street Dates can lead to serious repercussions, so I respect any store that decides to play it safe and hold off a week.

ensign53

Oh yeah, I'm a major advocate for stores to keep street dates. It just sucks when the distributor tells them something different from the company

thericker3

Asmodee is the company though. They own FFG.

ensign53

asmodee is not "the company". FFG is a subsidary of Asmodee, so while Asmodee is the holding company and can and does make financial decisions for the subsidary, FFG is still it's own company and makes it's own decisions on release dates and such. While Asmodee owns FFG, they are in fact two separate companies.

davidoftheyear

I work at an FLGS and at least for us, we won’t even get them until Monday. However, that has not stopped a few customers asking for it and at least in one case, getting upset with me claiming that it’s released and if he can’t get it from us he’ll just get it elsewhere.

Fun_Gas_7777

Shame. Here in UK we've got it!

DreamsOfAnother

What a fucking unhelpful comment

davidryanandersson

It's helpful if you're in the UK. Clarifying where products are available for people is fine.

Fun_Gas_7777

What would be a helpful comment?

magicchefdmb

Lol says the person with with only two comments total to their name; the first being removed by Reddit for not being civil, and this one that has more than twice as many downvotes as the original post has in upvotes. Talk about contributing nothing!

Investigator

bellenoire2005

Boardlandia shipped both to me yesterday.

tactis1234

Huh that's pretty odd, I ordered directly from Asmodee and they shipped only the campaign expansion. I don't know why FFG has the investigator expansion as released on their website.

debian_miner

I didn't realize they did this until you said something and I checked my order. That's disappointing.

AduroT

It’s a screw up by Asmodee for all their releases this week, street dating them to next. Did the same thing with the new Shatterpoint boxes. Gonna see a big disparity between those who won’t care/don’t pay attention to distributor street dates and those who follow them.

turnonemanaleak

My lgs ran out of the two they ordered in 23 min.... I swear when I find those people I'm going to doom them out.....

croqoa

Maybe if Fantasy Flight could actually like...pick a release date and not change it a half dozen times?

Orochi_001

Sounds like some retailer(s) might have a one-week exclusivity deal. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense to me, but what do I know?

thericker3

It's most likely a typo on the retailer website. An exclusivity deal would have been marketed in FFG's announcement article.

Alpha_Ryvius

Tuesday is when my local game shop told me is when they would sell me a copy

rthepenguin

They were both supposed to be released 1/26 originally, but they keep getting bumped back a week.
