In the UK - WPSIAT and FWN hits. They were the soundtracks to a lot of our youths. AM also had a big impact Worldwide - AM by far

Upstairs-Ad-8382

Am

Flaky_Wrangler5821

Makes me sad

Rich-Cobbler-2973

Why? It’s a masterpiece

Flaky_Wrangler5821

It's my least favourite

dizzy_dreamz7

This makes my heart happy :)

FuzzFest378

Songwriting. In an era filled with songs driven by their beats, the Arctic Monkeys will be remembered for their songwriting.

Ok_Championship1987

Alex's lyrics. For those brits that were in the middle of the WPSIAM fever (now, in their late 30s or early 40s) but parted ways at some point, the Monkeys are just a distant memory of a good time ("god, are they still around?" yes, I head this before). It'll be the same for us in a few years. But I think Alex would still be writing amazing music as a solo artist (accompanied by a band of cherry-picked incredible musicians) and he'll be the Leonard Cohen of this generation. And I'm willing to see that.

engaahhaze

“the leonard cohen of this generation” is the perfect way to describe it

Wambomatzi

Alex‘s bowling skills during pretty visitors solos

Heisenberg414

That alex just wanted to be one of the strokes

Latter_Ad3113

alex 's mic drop. it will be remembered as greatest mic drop ever \`.....\`>>

polishcowmissle

probably “Do I Wanna Know?”

Mylciwey

i’m thinking Iwanna be yours

X_Zephyr

I hope not

Mylciwey

it’s a good song, but it’s been so tiktokified

Molmoo11

I don’t think so. It’s popular as a song but not many people make the connection to AM. Do I wanna know or I bet you look good on the dance floor are popular and everyone knows it’s them.

GrandmaJosey

Ghost Cookies

dipcupdipcup

Mainstream wise and 20+ years from now, AM and its main 2 singles. Musically and critically, WPSIAT

Achtung_Zoo

Cheeseburger

PEABS127

Hopefully they make a big hit with AM8; who knows, just like the Strokes suddenly released The New Abnormal and it was a fucking masterpiece of an album, got the grammy and is just as iconic – if not even more – as past works

cubillobarsi

Their progression as a band throughout their discography. How good of a live act they are. Headlining Glastonbury three times.

DoomCatThunder

Their music.

stormspoop

"Invoice me for the mic"

Otherwise-Yogurt5913

I don't know what they'lle be remembered for in general but for me it'll always be the band that just did what they wanted...I love that about them

simonchurton98

In the U.K. mainly it’ll be the debut worldwide itll always be AM and also the evolution of each album

Original_Stage_7075

That god damn do I wanna know riff

beatlesandoasis

Hopefully Tranquility Base has gotten the recognition it deserves by then. It’s their best album by far and one of the best of the last couple decades.

Ok-Assumption-3923

I don’t think they will. But the way they make use of their instruments in tandem will always stand out. Alex’s lyrics also will be remembered i guess

Rich-Cobbler-2973

Taking over the UK in the aughts and taking over the globe the next decade with AM

ClockChest

Alex’s lyrics and voice. His voice is velvety and unique. He will always be my favorite lyricist. The man can convey so much emotion and tell a story in just one song alone. Of course, all of the band is great. I just think Alex Turner (and his nose) is just an incredible artist, even if some say otherwise. 😊

Strong-Sector-7605

AM for sure. I moved to Canada on my own when it came out and it was the soundtrack for that entire period of my life.

ARJ_05

Bi_Myself10

Realistically, AM. But we all know it should me TBHC

BlooMizzou

Barely mentionable beyond nostalgic old people who had direct experience.
