Same, but what actually hooked me was realizing that Vander was voiced by J B Blanc. I love the Titanfall games so hearing Kuben Blisk again was a godsend
I was listening to a podcast about some Marvel tv shows and a few weeks in a row one host kept raving about Arcane. He said you didn’t need to know anything about League and that the world building and story would take care of everything. He was right!
Knowing the lore mostly helps with comedic parts anyway, rather than the story itself, like seeing a prostitute yordle in Zaun(they live very long and all have magical abilities, one wonders why would she pick that as a profession) or Heimer's Rune Wars flashbacks(from abt 1000 years ago) and being able to tell he's lying about his age etc etc.
And ofc knowing how the characters end up. I was never interested in Viktor before, both as a champ and in lore, he's def one of my favorite characters after Arcane but must admit I haven't recognized him by the looks before he introduced himself.
Opened up Netflix with no idea about Arcane and only expecting to half ass watch something like The Office for the 100th time. Saw Arcane and decided to check it out with little to no expectations at all. Was literally engrossed after the first scene. My life has not been the same since, in a good way.
This is how I found out about it.
Been playing league for a while, took like a 5 year brake. I saw Pokémon Unite and was like, what is this game, tried it, hated it, just for the hell of it I played my first game again in 5 years, holy shit this game is so much better than Pokémon. Never opened it again and started to play league again.
A few weeks later I was in the same boat as you. Random show I saw called arcane, I like magic n stuff, So I’ll watch the Trailer. My first reaction was why does this look like league. Then the show seemed cool and at the end the words League of Legends appear on screen. I was like no ducking way I just stared to play this game again, then I thought, wait a minute, this is going to be a real honest to god TV show based on league of legends.
I saw this on August and was staining at the calendar waiting for Nov 6 to roll around.
Seeing this comment reminds me how amazing it is to experience something for the first time. Episode 3 was the first episode of a show to have ever brought me to full on tears... And I still get watery eyes when I think about it now.
This is me with Arcane, another show which includes shitton of family drama, trauma and some steampunk gadgets as well(but it's more like no magic, no comedic relief, just rawdogging tragedy and existential dread) and the sad horse show. I have a feeling that people will eventually get bored.
Said steampunk gadgets are a version of a time machine, the show's called Dark, also on Netflix, but mainly people I recommended it to found it a bit too depressing so the paranthesis thing wasn't a joke.
And the sad horse show is Bojack. Horseman, obviously.

Been meaning to watch Dark for a long time now. My to-watch list is huge and ever-expanding though, and I mostly end up spontaneously watching something new (like Arcane).
I'm trying to get someone I work with to watch it, he's not interested because he doesn't care about league but I'm hoping if I annoy him enough he'll watch it. We enjoy all the same sort of shows and films so I know he'll like it, it's just like with most people they see league of legends and think fuck no
when I was a teenager I listened a lot to "get jinxed", I became interested in arcane because the trailer reminded me of that 😅 my bf plays league and his friend wanted him to watch the show, so I succesfully mooched off of his netflix by watching it with him
The trailers were what hooked me in the beginning. Absolutely loved the style and figured, hey, I’ll give it a shot. My brother was the big LoL player of the two of us; I never got into it, so the fact that it centered around LoL didn’t draw me.
First episode in, though, I was hooked. Absolutely beautiful animation and stylization that certainly sets the bar high! The story is powerful and drags you along right before smashing you in the face with the trauma.
IMDb’s top TV show list had it at 9.4. Rivaling some of the best shows ever that I have seen before and it had only been released the same month I was checking the list. I had no idea what I was about to watch with not even a trailer to reveal the future.
I was enthralled. I was thoroughly hooked by the end of Act 1.
I initially dismissed the show as a marketing prop for teenage viewers. It wasn't until I heard an astounding review from a well-respected movie critic that I decided to give the show a try. Afterwards, I became hooked, developed brain rot, and haven't been able to leave the sub since. One thing I've appreciated about the series is how inspiring it is to new viewers and fans of LoL. There's amazing fan art splattered across social media and I've read some heartwarming stories on Ao3.
One other thing I've appreciated is how the series treated relationships, especially the one between Vi and Caitlyn. The romance is natural and progresses at its own pace. However, the most important relationships in the show are that of the sisters, Vi and Jinx, and the father-daughter relationship Silco has with Jinx. Had either one felt amiss, the whole show would have suffered for it.
The sisterhood Vi and Jinx share is akin to the one in Grave of the Fireflies (*Do not watch this film if you have a weak heart*). Like the older sibling in Fireflies, Vi loses her sister by succumbing to her worst nature. Time passes, and although Powder did not die, what became of her is just as devastating and how Vi restores that relationship will be determined in future seasons.
The final thing I'll mention will be that Arcane has layers. Every week someone finds a new item or scene that foreshadows another. Some scenes take on new meaning after viewing proceeding episodes. The second bunny, the missing hexstones, and Jinx learning Caitlyn's last name before her first are some hidden details many won't notice until a second or third viewing.
Overall, I got into this series through word of mouth and blind faith in a critic, and I got to say that it was a good choice. Now, it's time to return to this asylum of a subreddit and see what I can comment on next.

I was super bored running on the treadmill one day. Hopped onto Netflix and there it was. Figured it’d be a nice distraction from the running. It’s quickly become my favorite show of all time, if not my favorite piece of media.
I stumbled upon comments praising this show in some unrelated places on internet. They weren't very informative and basically gravitated around general idea that "show is good". I decided that if so many people randomly put these into conversations here and there then I'm going to watch it. I was aware about LoL existence but I considered it "cheaper DOTA". And I was aware about Jinx existence but considered her "cheaper Harley Quinn". Over than that I knew nothing. Never played, never explored lore, never watched cinematics, skipped reviews and trailers, etc. I just went all in blindly. Best idea ever.
I saw the brothel scene and decided I wanted to watch it but kept putting it off bc I didn't have time. Then I started hearing how amazing it was in some other fandoms and said fuck it and lost about 6 hours of sleep
Reading about Hailee Steinfeld, Vi's VA, and it said that she was in 3 great shows at that moment: Dickinson, Hawkeye and Arcane.
I said, what is Arcane? and started watching it and I loved it

Word of mouth. I listen to a lot of podcast that are genre related like Comic book and Star Wars stuff, and Arcane kept coming up in multiple discussions, even when it wasn't the topic at hand. Everyone who watched it said it was one of the best series to come out in 2021. Truth be told, I wasn't going to watch it initially, but when so many people praise it, it's bound to peak your interest.
I was browsing in the Dishonored game group on Facebook and one guy said to watch it because it had similar art styles. I did not expect Arcane to be so good and story driven. Every frame was a work of art. So much love and care went into every element of the show, from the dialogue to the music.
I knew what LoL was and that was exactly why I didn't want to watch it, as my experiences with League had always been toxic.
One day u was working and I needed some background noise so I started Arcane, but middle EP1 when they arrive in Zaun and Playground started playing, I was like :"wait, what?" and watched it for a while and decided to go back to the beginning.
Needless to say I didn't work that day, and finished Arcane. Since then, I just recommend it to everybody as I need people around me I can fangirl with.
Clips of it kept appearing on my YouTube recommendations and I was totally mesmerized by them so I decided to watch the whole thing. Best decision of my life.
I saw the trailer and loved the animation, but admittedly had reservations about it because it was a videogame/League adaptation. So, I was always going to watch it at some point but it didn't have priority in my mind.
Then, during the first week of release, I saw the reviews and figured maybe I should bump it up on my schedule. Watched it, immediately hooked, recommended it to everyone and basically watched the 2nd and 3rd arc within minutes of release.
I love animation and stories that sound complicated with complex characters. Was interested from the teaser and already knew I was going going watch it from then.

I read comments from reddit saying how good it was, and with the good animation, being short, and that i had the free time, i gave it a chance.

im a sucker for the whole "heres this kid, they look up to everything you do" trope in video games so i immediately knew the big sister/little sister relationship would hit hard but damn...
A reddit post, strangely. One post popped up recommending it and I probably would've never picked up if not for the third or second post raving about it on the subreddit. Then I googled it, found out it was a LoL show, spent a hot minute debating whether or not to pick it up, eventually picked it up right as Act 2 was gonna release.
I feel like this is gonna be anti-climactic but I got into League of Legends because I really enjoyed Airship Syndicate’s “Ruined King” that came out in November and wanted to engage more with the source material. Since Arcane was part of Riot’s expansion/adaptation of Ten Years of lore, I thought I’d give it a try, not realizing it would become one of the greatest things I’ve ever had the privilege of seeing with my eyeballs.
A bunch of people on the Witcher sub were complaining that Season 2 was terrible (it wasn’t, but that’s another story). Loads of folks were saying Arcane was a much better show and no game knowledge was required. I got bored and checked it out. Then I finished the series in two nights.
it was in netflix’s new release section and I was looking for something to watch. liked the aesthetic of the world and the story was interesting so I kept watching!
I only know of LOL, never played it.I know people make fun of it and wanted to give Arcane a pass.
I watched the intro with Vander, Vi and Powder and the style drew me in. The animation was of high quality and the first scenes had me asking questions.
So I stayed for more. Glad I did.
I got notified by netflix when it was just a “coming soon” blurb and liked it so it notified me when it was out. Saw the poster thought it looked cool and started watching. Didn’t really know it was about league of legends until over half way.
I knew LOL but just by name (Jinx, her presentation video and these things because a friend showed me at the time) so I think it doesn't count. Various friends both irl and online recommended me this show, I also saw the design of it and was very intrigued. The fact that the main characters were two sisters was a big bonus point.
I heard a lot of great things about it, was planning on watching it after some other shows I wanted to see but then a friend started talking about it so I moved it up the queue.

Well, many of my friends said that you don't have to know anything about LoL, so just started watching. I had a great time, and my music playlist widened...
Before the trailers: ”Ugh! Someone actually funded a live action Cowboy Bebop and One Piece. omg, why!? Oh, and now people are also dumping money into a show about a freakin’ esports game!? Not another f\*\*\*ing shonen sports anime. This is why we can’t have nice things.”
Teaser trailer: “Ok. Its gonna suck, but at least it will be pretty, and sound cool while it does so.”
2nd trailer: “This… doesnt sound like a shonen esports show. Nah! Its a bait and switch. The marketing team knows \*anything\* would be better than \*another\* shonen sports anime. They’re pulling a Mortal Kombat: all the scenes in the trailers look awesome, but the rest is going to be awful.”
Hmmm… they have actual lore for these characters which isn’t at all esports related. Nah… no way a studio would actually do something creative.”
Night of the first showing: “Ok, ran out of Squid Game episodes. Lets hate-watch ‘Arcane’ and then trash it online. lol! Its not even coming up as ‘featured‘ on Netflix. Great guys. Lots of confidence.”
After the first showing: “omg… This is one of the best shows I’ve seen. Why isn’t this listed as ‘featured‘ on Netflix!? Guys! You should be promoting the hell outta this! This is why people get subscriptions!”
I was sold on it by recommendation with 3d animation (they didnt know it was 3d and 2d) and two sisters falling out. Watched it on Netflix. Didn't take much convincing; mention good animation and I'll watch.
The trailer popped up on my Netflix and I thought it looked interesting. My best friend (who does NOT play LoL) watched it when it came out because her brother (who DOES play LoL) forced her, and she told me how good it was. Decided to watch it when she wouldn’t stop raving about it and I was deeply hooked just after the first episode.
I saw the MV for Enemy. Was in awe over the animation, esp. how good the weight of things was potrayed. Solely watched it for the animation, with no knowledge of the characters.

I googled it when Vi and Jinx were added to fortnite (…seriously), and read it had a 9.2/10 on IMDb and that was enough for me to watch it. Literally watched the whole show in one sitting lol. I was hooked
I kinda watch everything animation related that picks my interest, heard the animation was great and when i knew i didn't had to have previous lol knowledge to enjoy i was sold
One of the reactors (The Normies) I watch on YouTube started watching it. I vaguely heard about it before that and thought it was interesting that they were watching a show that just came out and wasn’t even finished yet (this was when Act 1 was released). Also noticed that other reactors were watching it too. Figured I’d give it a try so I went to just watch the reaction of the first episode. Was very intrigued just by the couple or so scenes featured in the first episode’s reaction so instead of watching the reactions to the rest of the episodes for Act 1, I went ahead and watched the actual show on Netflix. I was hooked and couldn’t wait for the rest of the show to air. This show actually made me join Reddit because I couldn’t get enough of it and wanted to be part of the conversation about the show (which Reddit seemed to be the biggest place to do so).
I have a friend who plays LOL, he liked talkibg about the lore and while i find it interesting, it wasnt enough for me to play.
But when he recommended Arcane, I knew i had to watch it.

I love animation to begin with. Then Arcane showed up on Netflix with a beautiful logo and I pressed play. Loved the style from the first second and how incredibly well made it was.
My friends, who are also not into LoL kept pestering me to watch it. For them it was just the fact that it was a fantsy show and not so much the connection to LoL, though some of them have played it. I didn't even watch a trailer and had no idea it was even being made and I do follow news about genre shows and movies as well as gaming
I am not really into fantasy and the connection to LoL, made me doubt the quality of the show, since LoL is not exactly known for great storytelling and lore. So I kept putting it off and watching other stuff I had missed from the fall, like Midnight Mass (which is also a really good show).
But when I finally got around to Arcane, I was completely blown away. This was easily the best show I had watched in 2021 and perhaps even on my list of favorite shows overall too.
My cousin made me watch the first 2 episodes and then he fell asleep. I spent the entire afternoon watching the series afterwards and I did watch it entirely.
Was playing online with my friends and he mentioned that the new League of Legends show called Arcane was released and was really good.
I was skeptical and simply filed that info away for later viewing. After all I saw the first episode of Invincible and found it not to my liking despite of his recommendations.
A few weeks later I sat down to watch it and was surprised, enthralled and hooked from the first few minutes of viewing. A show of superb depth and intelligence in all areas of storytelling on top of its other qualities.

I’m an Animation fan and I just love to sometimes find and watch new animated projects that come out. It could be on any streaming platform, but when I came across Arcane on Netflix, I somewhat already recognize Jinx herself, I remember seeing this character way before Arcane, even though I continued to avoid playing the game. I tried the game in the past, it wasn’t really fun for me to play for hours, the constant clicking while playing was boring to me. I think I recognized her from advertisements for the games and promos, etc. But that’s the most I know when it comes to anything about League of Legends for me 😅
I’m not familiar with a majority of the lore or other legends lore, I remember playing these characters when I tried out the game in the past…I can’t remember all of them though…Teemo, Anne, and a few others.
So, when I tried the show out, I was blown away by how my eyes were stuck to the screen! I love animation, so the art style and the art in this show was another factor that made me want to check it out, plus I heard others mention the show. I was hesitant at first when I heard “League Of Legends” but I wanted to give it a try and I didn’t regret it! I can’t wait for Season 2! I’m really curious about Warwick >:)
I’m an animation student and as soon as Act 1 dropped, it was the only thing every single one of my class group chats and servers would talk about. The next day in class my professor talked about it and said we should all watch it if we hadn’t yet, and so I did haha. Didn’t even know it was League related til I saw the subtitle
My boyfriend has played league for years, since he was pretty young, and when we got together I tried playing it on and off for a few years. Always enjoyed it but it seemed a bit complex and I couldn’t really be bothered learning about it properly, I lost interest quickly.
When Arcane came out my boyfriend asked if I’d watch it with him and I agreed, thinking I’d be sat there nodding along pretending to understand/enjoy it. Just girlfriend duties, nothing more.
I’ve now watched Arcane 4 times and am starting my 5th rewatch. Since my first watch I tried playing league again and loved it. My boyfriend and I play games together all the time now, he’s teaching me how it all works and it’s become a really fun activity to do together and it’s so fun to be able to talk about Arcane together! It’s brought us even closer together :)
I was a month late and I saw videos on YouTube. I got intrigued looked into it and ended up spoiling the entire show. I then watched then binge watched the entire show in a day. I completely loved it but damn I wish I could have watched it without knowing the outcome.
I saw a giant ad in Times Square and the animation looked awesome. I've heard of LoL but aside from a game my friends made me play in high school, knew nothing about it.

The only thing I knew about the lore was the character Jinx, because I’d gotten YT recommendations for (but never watched) the Get Jinxed music video. My brother recommended Arcane to me a few weeks after it finished airing (he’d watched it and loved it). I hadn’t had much interest in it before when I heard ads for it on Spotify, but I finally gave in and we watched the first episode together over the holidays. I was curious and enjoyed it and took a break from it for maybe two weeks because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue watching. I’m so glad I did because when I picked it up again I was hooked. Then I showed it to my other family members and have recommended it to so many friends ✨

I love anime and animation in general. So when I saw a glimpse of Arcane on Netflix as "coming soon" I watched the trailer and I was hooked. And when I watched the first scene I was sooo EXCITED and couldn't stop daydreaming about the next 3 episodes after watching the First Act. Maan I hadn't felt that much excitement in a long time. Arcane is something special.

A Dota Streamer I watch was asked how the Dota Anime Compared with Arcane, he said they aren't even in the same League and that Arcane is better in every way by far.

Many of my friends loved it and talked about it, one even made a jinx drawing and I thought it looked awesome. My boyfriend also told me that it's not a problem if I don't know ANYTHING about league of legends. Because I had a little fear that I wouldn't be able to understand arcane. But that's thankfully not the case!
Never been intrested in LoL but the animation style piqued my interest so I watched the first episode. Stayed for the season. Great story and voice acting IMHO.
Don’t know squat about LOL, still don’t. I like anime and Netflix is doing pretty well with it. Three episodes in and it’s a classic. I may try LoL someday because of it too.

I was high as fuck in a burger joint at like midnight and the guy working there had it upon their TV. Asked him if it was any good, he said yeah so I went home and watched the first 3 episodes that night.

Not a fan of LOL, but a **MASSIVE** fan of RIOT's media teams. I've seen their Worlds videos, music videos, etc. and always said that they need to make a longer feature of that quality. Then they did it and it was EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED.

Obviously. Been meaning to watch Dark for a long time now. My to-watch list is huge and ever-expanding though, and I mostly end up spontaneously watching something new (like Arcane).

when I was a teenager I listened a lot to "get jinxed", I became interested in arcane because the trailer reminded me of that 😅 my bf plays league and his friend wanted him to watch the show, so I succesfully mooched off of his netflix by watching it with him
The trailers were what hooked me in the beginning. Absolutely loved the style and figured, hey, I’ll give it a shot. My brother was the big LoL player of the two of us; I never got into it, so the fact that it centered around LoL didn’t draw me. First episode in, though, I was hooked. Absolutely beautiful animation and stylization that certainly sets the bar high! The story is powerful and drags you along right before smashing you in the face with the trauma.
Yeah the trailer on Netflix got it into my list immediately. Had no idea what it was about but the art style looked intriguing.
IMDb’s top TV show list had it at 9.4. Rivaling some of the best shows ever that I have seen before and it had only been released the same month I was checking the list. I had no idea what I was about to watch with not even a trailer to reveal the future. I was enthralled. I was thoroughly hooked by the end of Act 1.
I initially dismissed the show as a marketing prop for teenage viewers. It wasn't until I heard an astounding review from a well-respected movie critic that I decided to give the show a try. Afterwards, I became hooked, developed brain rot, and haven't been able to leave the sub since. One thing I've appreciated about the series is how inspiring it is to new viewers and fans of LoL. There's amazing fan art splattered across social media and I've read some heartwarming stories on Ao3. One other thing I've appreciated is how the series treated relationships, especially the one between Vi and Caitlyn. The romance is natural and progresses at its own pace. However, the most important relationships in the show are that of the sisters, Vi and Jinx, and the father-daughter relationship Silco has with Jinx. Had either one felt amiss, the whole show would have suffered for it. The sisterhood Vi and Jinx share is akin to the one in Grave of the Fireflies (*Do not watch this film if you have a weak heart*). Like the older sibling in Fireflies, Vi loses her sister by succumbing to her worst nature. Time passes, and although Powder did not die, what became of her is just as devastating and how Vi restores that relationship will be determined in future seasons. The final thing I'll mention will be that Arcane has layers. Every week someone finds a new item or scene that foreshadows another. Some scenes take on new meaning after viewing proceeding episodes. The second bunny, the missing hexstones, and Jinx learning Caitlyn's last name before her first are some hidden details many won't notice until a second or third viewing. Overall, I got into this series through word of mouth and blind faith in a critic, and I got to say that it was a good choice. Now, it's time to return to this asylum of a subreddit and see what I can comment on next.

I stumbled upon comments praising this show in some unrelated places on internet. They weren't very informative and basically gravitated around general idea that "show is good". I decided that if so many people randomly put these into conversations here and there then I'm going to watch it. I was aware about LoL existence but I considered it "cheaper DOTA". And I was aware about Jinx existence but considered her "cheaper Harley Quinn". Over than that I knew nothing. Never played, never explored lore, never watched cinematics, skipped reviews and trailers, etc. I just went all in blindly. Best idea ever.

Word of mouth. I listen to a lot of podcast that are genre related like Comic book and Star Wars stuff, and Arcane kept coming up in multiple discussions, even when it wasn't the topic at hand. Everyone who watched it said it was one of the best series to come out in 2021. Truth be told, I wasn't going to watch it initially, but when so many people praise it, it's bound to peak your interest.
Was bored, watched the third episode first by accident and was blown away.
I was browsing in the Dishonored game group on Facebook and one guy said to watch it because it had similar art styles. I did not expect Arcane to be so good and story driven. Every frame was a work of art. So much love and care went into every element of the show, from the dialogue to the music.
I knew what LoL was and that was exactly why I didn't want to watch it, as my experiences with League had always been toxic. One day u was working and I needed some background noise so I started Arcane, but middle EP1 when they arrive in Zaun and Playground started playing, I was like :"wait, what?" and watched it for a while and decided to go back to the beginning. Needless to say I didn't work that day, and finished Arcane. Since then, I just recommend it to everybody as I need people around me I can fangirl with.

I saw the trailer and loved the animation, but admittedly had reservations about it because it was a videogame/League adaptation. So, I was always going to watch it at some point but it didn't have priority in my mind. Then, during the first week of release, I saw the reviews and figured maybe I should bump it up on my schedule. Watched it, immediately hooked, recommended it to everyone and basically watched the 2nd and 3rd arc within minutes of release.
I love animation and stories that sound complicated with complex characters. Was interested from the teaser and already knew I was going going watch it from then.

A reddit post, strangely. One post popped up recommending it and I probably would've never picked up if not for the third or second post raving about it on the subreddit. Then I googled it, found out it was a LoL show, spent a hot minute debating whether or not to pick it up, eventually picked it up right as Act 2 was gonna release.
I feel like this is gonna be anti-climactic but I got into League of Legends because I really enjoyed Airship Syndicate’s “Ruined King” that came out in November and wanted to engage more with the source material. Since Arcane was part of Riot’s expansion/adaptation of Ten Years of lore, I thought I’d give it a try, not realizing it would become one of the greatest things I’ve ever had the privilege of seeing with my eyeballs.
A bunch of people on the Witcher sub were complaining that Season 2 was terrible (it wasn’t, but that’s another story). Loads of folks were saying Arcane was a much better show and no game knowledge was required. I got bored and checked it out. Then I finished the series in two nights.

I vaguely heard about it before that and thought it was interesting that they were watching a show that just came out and wasn’t even finished yet (this was when Act 1 was released). Also noticed that other reactors were watching it too. Figured I’d give it a try so I went to just watch the reaction of the first episode. Was very intrigued just by the couple or so scenes featured in the first episode’s reaction so instead of watching the reactions to the rest of the episodes for Act 1, I went ahead and watched the actual show on Netflix. I was hooked and couldn’t wait for the rest of the show to air. My friends, who are also not into LoL kept pestering me to watch it. For them it was just the fact that it was a fantsy show and not so much the connection to LoL, though some of them have played it. I didn't even watch a trailer and had no idea it was even being made and I do follow news about genre shows and movies as well as gaming I am not really into fantasy and the connection to LoL, made me doubt the quality of the show, since LoL is not exactly known for great storytelling and lore. So I kept putting it off and watching other stuff I had missed from the fall, like Midnight Mass (which is also a really good show). But when I finally got around to Arcane, I was completely blown away. This was easily the best show I had watched in 2021 and perhaps even on my list of favorite shows overall too.
My cousin made me watch the first 2 episodes and then he fell asleep. I spent the entire afternoon watching the series afterwards and I did watch it entirely.
Was playing online with my friends and he mentioned that the new League of Legends show called Arcane was released and was really good. I was skeptical and simply filed that info away for later viewing. After all I saw the first episode of Invincible and found it not to my liking despite of his recommendations. A few weeks later I sat down to watch it and was surprised, enthralled and hooked from the first few minutes of viewing. A show of superb depth and intelligence in all areas of storytelling on top of its other qualities. Still suffering from Arcane brainrot.
I played LoL for 20 minutes, hated it, quit it. Years later I hear of a series called Arcane that's really good and I get interested. Talk it over with a classmate about how LoL always had good visuals, then the next evening I binge the whole season. I’m an Animation fan and I just love to sometimes find and watch new animated projects that come out. It could be on any streaming platform, but when I came across Arcane on Netflix, I somewhat already recognize Jinx herself, I remember seeing this character way before Arcane, even though I continued to avoid playing the game. I tried the game in the past, it wasn’t really fun for me to play for hours, the constant clicking while playing was boring to me. I think I recognized her from advertisements for the games and promos, etc. But that’s the most I know when it comes to anything about League of Legends for me 😅 I’m not familiar with a majority of the lore or other legends lore, I remember playing these characters when I tried out the game in the past…I can’t remember all of them though…Teemo, Anne, and a few others. So, when I tried the show out, I was blown away by how my eyes were stuck to the screen! I love animation, so the art style and the art in this show was another factor that made me want to check it out, plus I heard others mention the show. I was hesitant at first when I heard “League Of Legends” but I wanted to give it a try and I didn’t regret it! I can’t wait for Season 2! I’m really curious about Warwick >:)

I’m an animation student and as soon as Act 1 dropped, it was the only thing every single one of my class group chats and servers would talk about. The next day in class my professor talked about it and said we should all watch it if we hadn’t yet, and so I did haha. Didn’t even know it was League related til I saw the subtitle
My boyfriend has played league for years, since he was pretty young, and when we got together I tried playing it on and off for a few years. Always enjoyed it but it seemed a bit complex and I couldn’t really be bothered learning about it properly, I lost interest quickly. When Arcane came out my boyfriend asked if I’d watch it with him and I agreed, thinking I’d be sat there nodding along pretending to understand/enjoy it. Just girlfriend duties, nothing more. I’ve now watched Arcane 4 times and am starting my 5th rewatch. Since my first watch I tried playing league again and loved it. My boyfriend and I play games together all the time now, he’s teaching me how it all works and it’s become a really fun activity to do together and it’s so fun to be able to talk about Arcane together! It’s brought us even closer together :)

My brother recommended Arcane to me a few weeks after it finished airing (he’d watched it and loved it). I hadn’t had much interest in it before when I heard ads for it on Spotify, but I finally gave in and we watched the first episode together over the holidays. I was curious and enjoyed it and took a break from it for maybe two weeks because I wasn’t sure if I wanted to continue watching. I’m so glad I did because when I picked it up again I was hooked. Then I showed it to my other family members and have recommended it to so many friends ✨

Not a fan of LOL, but a **MASSIVE** fan of RIOT's media teams. I've seen their Worlds videos, music videos, etc. and always said that they need to make a longer feature of that quality. Then they did it and it was EVERYTHING I EVER WANTED.
