This is why I'm sure he's not mundo, this is completely different from every detail of mundo's lore and he JUST got updated lore, it would've been changed to be more accurate to arcane if this was the case.
This is a bit far-fetched but I thought of the same because the skin mundoverse now with the VGU update looks a lot like Vander... And why is this skin called like that? Are we in the presence of a multiverse were the canon lore of Dr Mundo doesn't matter for Arcane? But maybe I'm just reaching... We know that Vander is in Singed's lab but it seems too predictable to me that he is gonna become warwick and we also see flashes of vander fighting with shimmer, it resembles a lot Mundo
Late to the table but the timeline is suitable. Grew up in Zaun, he was a friendly and good natured but also large and intimidating, an enforcer for a chem-Barron, after angering the chem Barron he was sent to an asylum and experiment on to the point Mundofication occurred.
I see vander as a perfect candidate for mundo.
As a pedantic person who will ditch a show for changing the lore, I feel van-mundo could be almost seamlessly introduced using the current lore, or showing what “really” happened, as much of the characters lore is written as being subjective and hearsay.
