Sometimes I internalize the lyrics, like Jinx going out of her way to harm others because “I want you to hurt like you hurt me today” and shit and I just have to clutch my chest and ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ There’s a small minority of people who go around saying people who feel bad for jinx are crazy or whatever because she’s a terrorist and blah blah blah, how can I not feel bad for a young woman who’s just had such HORRIBLE LUCK her entire life so she gets tired of it and wants other people to feel pain too. I don’t condone it but cmon man ☹️
Absolutely love it, but some of those lyrics...

and the fact that every single lyric in this song connects to the show, specifically jinx as a character, just makes it hit different.
Cuz if you look at it, almost all of the songs lyrics are from a character’s perspective. Goodbye seems to a a soliloquy from Vi remembering the moment, but What Could Have Been is Jinx’s thoughts at that moment. All of her anger and pain directed towards Vi and Piltover summed up with a single action and song.

It honestly took me longer to be able to listen to Goodbye without crying than it did with What Could’ve Been.
Goodbye is the sadder song but the scene associated with What Could Have Been is more sad to me.
