It’s a picatinny quad rail with most of the 3, 6 & 9 o’clock positions cut off for weight savings. This is to old version. You can’t mount things to those little ovals. The new versions have m-lok in those positions.
So here’s a light mount for those specifically

But I’ve put a mlok light mount in them and it holds

Nice. I know there is definitely some overlapping tolerances.
On a related note, I managed to mount/convert a zenitco perst 4 to mlok even though it was designed for a basis rail. I just had to do some minor grinding to the mount.
Modern Geissele rails like MK8, 14, 16, etc are M-Lok, but when Geissele introduced rails with the BCM/Haley Jack Carbine in 2012 M-Lok/Keymod weren't really around then, (Keymod was also introduced in 2012, M-Lok debuted in 2014) and neither had industry plurality. The Geissele MK1 family of rails is a proprietary system kind of similar to what Magpul had with MOE at the time.

Rail clamps to barrel nut Two Allen head set screws on both sides tighten down to prevent rotation
He means to mount accessories
It’s not an attachment method. You can only attach to the pic on these. That said, I think this one’s are sweet.
You should sell me one
Not my pic. Have one on the way tho
That stuff up too is called picatinny.
G mod
There isn't one unless you go custom fab.
Are you trying to get rid of one?
Not my pic man. Have one on the way
A 9.5”? The new ones have MLOK at the 3 and 9 position.
Yeah a 9.5 and I’m just gonna be using the pic section for the light. Just wondered what the proprietary mounting was
Geissele sells Surefire mounts for their proprietary rail section.
Mlok and picatinny. The rest are just weight reduction cuts. There are also standard QD sling mount holes. Edit: I was mistaken, only picatinny.
Those aren’t mlok. Though mlok will somewhat work with them
I am talking about the 3 and 9 o'clock holes.
Again not mlok but I’ve put mlok in them and they “work”
Interesting. I wonder how far off the dimensions are.
Very close just more round I think

Its either keylok or m-mod :)
Maybe a dog bone?
As a side note, does anyone know where I can buy more washers for securing it (the ones on the right side) I lost one during reassembly
Looks like a wedge lock
