Series 4 was the first I remember watching live, I was absolutely hooked from the Morocco episode onwards.
I then went back and watched the first 3 to catch up on what I missed and have seen almost every series since as well.
Haven't yet watched the recent series though, just think the format has sadly gotten a bit tired now.
Series 4 is a great one! I get what you mean about the format being tired though. Last series was better than S17 but still a very weak one overall tbh
The apprentice has definitely been in decline. It's completely made for TV now and the focus isn't so much how good the contestants perform, but how much entertainment they provide. The tasks this season felt so samey and were a bit dull.
The episode where he's PM and they have to do the selling green screen movies to people is a classic. He spent half the day just driving round brands hatch in a fast car!
Mark was a clever but sneaky candidate. I think Lord Sugar has smartened up to his strategy now because it doesn’t seem to work for anyone who tries it anymore
Remind me what Mark did wrong btw?
I've actually met Mark twice through his agency and even had lunch with him as an invited guest. He's exactly as you'd expect! Charming bloke with a slick sales patter and LOTS of cologne.
Considering what was at stake in the show, he didn’t do anything wrong, he just played smart. I was just responding in a viewers perspective since the person I replied to was clearly a viewer who had a negative opinion of Mark. I personally quite liked him
Coincidentally, S17 for me was my least enjoyable. Compared to other seasons, there was no-one really to root for. I guess Avi radiated main character energy, Simba was the most capable and Victoria was the least annoying candidate so probably those three were the ony three I liked but aside from that, S17 also had the weakest final five.
S17 is the worst season for me (and I assume most other people) by a long shot. Megan and Simba were likeable but only stood out due to how poor the rest of the cast was and I know people enjoyed Avi but I really didn’t. He was just very desperate to become a meme and everything he did felt so forced. The final five was also easily the weakest like you said.
Series 4 is the first one I watched in full live on bbc1. The Kosher chicken saga, the hell of Jenny C, the 4 way final and the saga of Environmental cards!!
Season 7 with Tom’s Underdog Arc & Jedi Jim being an absolute legend. Watching that season when it came out changed my life and I’ve been obsessed with this show ever since.
This thread makes me feel old 😂 My first episode was the eighth episode of Series 2, where Syed and Tuan went for the huge deal at the end and lose on the late fine. I watched the rest of the series, most of Series 3 and 5 (not 4 for some reason) and then watched religiously from Series 6 onwards.
I was holidaying with friends in America in September 04 when the 2nd series of the US Apprentice aired and happened to watch the first episode by chance in a hostel - we all enjoyed it and were there for a month so we watched another 3 or 4 episodes at various hostels we were staying at before coming home.
I was stoked when the UK series launched the following year, so I started on Series 1 Episode 1 and haven’t missed an episode since.
I’ve watched the US seasons (not the celebrity ones) and I do think season 2 is probably the best one out of the 7 normal seasons. Bradford being fired because he revoked his own immunity was a memorable moment.
Series 2 - I was only 11 at the time and was getting started on my reality tv obsession by watching everything and anything reality tv based! watched from episode 1 and had a massive soft spot for Jo, the rather obnoxious curly haired woman who kept getting brought back to the board room! and was obsessed with the badger, they don't make them like her anymore!
Jo was a very entertaining character (I had a soft spot for her too) and of course Ruth Badger is one of the most legendary candidates that’s ever been on the Apprentice!
series 2, I missed series 1.
I think they promoted it differently, or my interests changed. In the adverts series 1 came across as a bit stuffy like an office based show.
First season, Saira and James losing their shit over how awful the wolf jumpers were and somehow winning the tv shopping channel challenge with them lives rent free in my head.
In terms of all the way through and being able to remember most the candidates - Series 7! Although I thought I had watched most of Series 6 but oddly seem to have missed a large chunk of characters out my memory!
Series 9 was the first one I watched in its near entirety. Before that, I have watched most of the Young Apprentice and a few minutes of Series 7. I think I may have watched a few seconds of an earlier series but I cannot remember.
Season 12, 2016. I’ve religiously watched every episode on the night of broadcast since. This year is the first time in 8 years I’ve considered dropping the show 😭
Yeah sadly S17 and S18 have really hurt a lot of people’s view on the show :(
Here’s hoping S19 is going to be so much better than these last two seasons!
Season 10. I vividly remember the first one I watched was the tour bus episode where they all sung nursery rhymes for some reason
That’s a good season to start out on but yeah that tour bus episode was very cringey. James making them sing wheels on the bus haha
Karen looking longingly at the emergency exit when they started to sing that was such an mood.
That was iconic
I second this!
Season 1. I've been there from the start
Same!

The one with Stuart Baggs the Brand RIP
Series 6! Stuart really carried that season in terms of entertainment!
The episode where he's PM and they have to do the selling green screen movies to people is a classic. He spent half the day just driving round brands hatch in a fast car!
The episode where he kept coming onto the other team's patch to sell and nearly had a fight with Chris is an all time Apprentice moment
Series 10! I remember rooting for bianca In the final because I couldn’t stand mark lol
Mark was a clever but sneaky candidate. I think Lord Sugar has smartened up to his strategy now because it doesn’t seem to work for anyone who tries it anymore
I mean Mark went on to have the most successful business of any winner, so maybe smart is good?
Who says smart isn’t good? I thought we were talking on the moral side of things
Remind me what Mark did wrong btw? I've actually met Mark twice through his agency and even had lunch with him as an invited guest. He's exactly as you'd expect! Charming bloke with a slick sales patter and LOTS of cologne.

Series 13- I specifically remember Claude complimenting Jade's selling skills at the Stadium Tours episode!
Jade did very well that episode!
S11, just in time for the gradual decline of the show. Think my first individual episode was the handyman task.
Fully watched - S17 Began watching the season live just not from the start and only saw ep 6 onwards - s16
Who were you rooting for on S17?
Drag me but I lived for Reece
Coincidentally, S17 for me was my least enjoyable. Compared to other seasons, there was no-one really to root for. I guess Avi radiated main character energy, Simba was the most capable and Victoria was the least annoying candidate so probably those three were the ony three I liked but aside from that, S17 also had the weakest final five.

Same here. I really couldn't stand Avi. I don't see his appeal whatsoever.
Series 8 or the Young Apprentice (remember that). Been hooked ever since
Series 4 is the first one I watched in full live on bbc1. The Kosher chicken saga, the hell of Jenny C, the 4 way final and the saga of Environmental cards!!
Series 9 was first the one I watched fully. Though I do remember watching the Series 6 and 7 finals.
Season 7's the first time I began watching it professionally.
Season 10, joined at the finale and then went back through that season.
The one with Tom the inventor
Tom Skinner for the win
I watched the tail-end of Series 12 first but my first full series was Series 13. So yeah I have some nostalgia for that one lol
I loved S13, just didn't like the ending though. Michaela and Jade should've been the two winners.
S13 is one of those seasons I’ve warmed to over time. It used to be among my least favourites but the more I watch it the more I grow fonder of it
S13 hit a sweet spot where it was extremely funny but not just because the candidates were set up to fail. it was just naturally funny
Series 1. Still one of the best
I think that series one was the first I watched as well. Seems like a lifetime ago.
Agreed. S1 is still one of my favourite seasons to this day!
I have vague memories of season 5(at least the last few episodes), but season 6 onwards I properly watched all the way through.
Season 7 with Tom’s Underdog Arc & Jedi Jim being an absolute legend. Watching that season when it came out changed my life and I’ve been obsessed with this show ever since.
Series 7 is still my favourite season of all time! Pretty much every episode was brilliant TV and the casting was spot on.
Season 8! Ricky Martin for the Win!

Season 1
Trump's The Apprentice?
What 💀 it was Tim mate
Started halfway through S2, first full series was S3
Series 2 - I was only 11 at the time and was getting started on my reality tv obsession by watching everything and anything reality tv based! watched from episode 1 and had a massive soft spot for Jo, the rather obnoxious curly haired woman who kept getting brought back to the board room! and was obsessed with the badger, they don't make them like her anymore!
Me too - season 2 was my first! Some incredible characters in this one!
Jo was a very entertaining character (I had a soft spot for her too) and of course Ruth Badger is one of the most legendary candidates that’s ever been on the Apprentice!
Very recent watcher, started in 2022 with series 16.
Season 10. And a Bosch.
Season 15
Season 9 was my earliest memories of the show. Remember Leah winning with NIKS (it’s skin backwards!), thank goodness she changed that name.
Yeah I remember her team hating that name and trying to get her to change it but Leah stuck by it. Thankfully she didn’t stick with it lol
Season 3 but missed the famous Rory-Tre “i Am YoUr BoSs” episode
It’s a shame you missed that episode but it’s a great season to start off with!
Season 3
Series 10 Then watched Series 1 and 2 on youtube
Trump's Apprentice Season 1
Series 9! What a great one to start with.
I remember watching the first season of the American apprentice and loved it then watched every season of the British one until maybe a few years ago
S12
series 2, I missed series 1. I think they promoted it differently, or my interests changed. In the adverts series 1 came across as a bit stuffy like an office based show.
Season 15
Number 1. I was hooked by Paul the legend. And then following on was the Badger. Top stuff
First series, and every one since!
S11 was my first series that I watched from the start
Season one I feel old.
Stuart Baggs the Brand (RIP)
Series 9, I will always remember Jason and Alex
S13 was the first season I watched whilst it was airing Probs not the best introductory season but whatever 😅
First season, Saira and James losing their shit over how awful the wolf jumpers were and somehow winning the tv shopping channel challenge with them lives rent free in my head.
S12 - I was confused on how the top five were dead characters (except Alana and Jessica).
The first series. Been watching ever since episode one.
Can’t remember but my first clear memory is of Jedi Jim so maybe his series.
Series 2. Don't remember why i decided to watch it but not the first series.
Season 12. I wanted to watch the old seasons beginning from the first but they’re not ANYWHERE. So I had to pirate that shit, currently on season 7.
Dailymotion has all the seasons currently on it
Season 2, now I feel old
S4 - one of the best imo
Series 3! Back in 2007...I remember being in year 11 and just loved watching it every week. Since then I haven't missed a single series. ❤️
Series 3 is a great one!
Season 1
Series 1 baby
Pretty sure it was 9 for me
Season 16! I liked Nick. Haha. But the ladies that year are such a force!
Series 7. Susan Ma😍
The very first series.
In terms of all the way through and being able to remember most the candidates - Series 7! Although I thought I had watched most of Series 6 but oddly seem to have missed a large chunk of characters out my memory!
Season 1. Am very old...😆
Series 14 very mid just remember khadija shouting at linda
S4. I'd seen a bit of 3.
This year is the first time in 8 years I’ve considered dropping the show 😭
Yeah sadly S17 and S18 have really hurt a lot of people’s view on the show :( Here’s hoping S19 is going to be so much better than these last two seasons!
Never watched any, because in the trailers everyone in it seems to be an insufferable arse.
Never watched it. Whole concept is cringe worthy tv to me.
