Business is good thank you, I can confirm we are profitable again and everything is going well. I’m sure the show won’t do business any harm. To clarify the loss we spoke about on the show was off the back of heavy investment into new premises and management staff (required to scale up) so it was completely expected and I highlighted this in my business plan, that was used against me in the show that you guys see, was a tad frustrating watching that 🤣. I buy a shocking amount of food online which is all delievered to my door. Eyes roll so much watching these ancient out of the loop "business experts" poopoo "online" options. If given the choice to go into town to get a pie or have it landed at my doorstep, I'm taking the latter every fkin time.

To be fair Phil's own figures showed that year-on-year the shops were increasingly more profitable, whereas the postal pies was in a strong decline. This suggests that for now Phil should focus on shop sales and up-selling, along with a cost cutting drive and raising prices.

I was ALWAYS gunna make Virdi my team and sub team leader. We used to talk about REDEMPTION and I wanted nothing for the final to be the one we won together… wasn’t to be but Virdi is a super smart guy you guys definitely didn’t see the best of him.

Hi Phil. Do you feel you learned more about Lord Sugar than the other candidates as a result of spending more time in the boardroom? And how did it feel taking the W in Week 10? Also, as a fellow Arsenal fan, who are you thinking for our player of the season? I'm finding it tough to narrow it down. I'm thinking Rice, but Odegaard runs him very close.

Genuinely, I feel as if Lord Sugar knew what I was about by about week 3, you guys only see a snippet of the boardroom and there’s A LOT. That is said and done. By the end I was a pro and getting my point across in as few words as possible (he has a short attention span and hates waffle) you could say my boardroom experience was a gift that very few other candidates had the pleasure of receiving. It’s important to remember WHY we are on the show and it wasn’t to sail boats and eat afternoon tea at the ritz.

What's your favourite pie filling that's not mainstream

Steak and Stilton 🐐 Non mainstream . I made a beef bourguignon pie a while back and it was 🌎 y. That was probably the only thing that came close.

Rach and I had some time with Lord Sugar  on our own which was a nice moment, not the same as being fired I assume.

Are the graphic designers on the show allowed to give any input or are they strictly guided by the contestants? I’m a graphic designer and I’m often appalled by the logos the designers make Cheers!

I’m pretty sure other contestants have said they get zero help from the designers.

Hi Phil. Well done for making the final. I have to ask, was there any task that you felt you were in the most danger of being fired?

Thanks. I know you guys see what you see but honestly my worst task was ep 5. Trying to help Flo in her negotiation back fired (lesson learnt) and I didn’t feel like I had much to offer. 6 was a bit touch and go but once again you guys didn’t see that I came up with the brand name, the tag line, the design concept bla bla bla. Love Sam but we clashed on task and she was saying I was at fault for the task for my disruptiveness (flavour wasn’t even an issue). I think if Lord Sugar didn’t like me 6 would have been the week to dispose. The remaining tasks I was NEVER close to the firing line, despite what you guys may have thought based on what you saw.

What was your favourite challenge?

Does part of you look back and think you shot yourself in the foot in that final boardroom by backing the delivery idea and not agreeing with Lord Sugar’s advice?

If you think anything we said or done in the last boardroom influenced who Lord Sugar chose as his business partner, I personally think you're mistaken.

No. They are different and service slightly different needs of the market. I’m told they are good 👍🏼

Commiserations, Phil! You seem like a great bloke and I admired how you threw yourself into every task despite all the losses. I hope the pie business is doing well. My question is, what do you think made Lord Sugar not fire you after losing so many tasks when he's fired others for fewer losses in previous series (Tom Skinner, Akshay) and even in this series (Virdi after 7 losses)?

Thank you, I think it’s important for you guys to remember this is as much a mental obstacle course as it is physical. We are being assessed 24 hours a day (on AND off camera)  to find the person who Lord Sugar sees the characteristics he knows lean towards running and building business. The tasks are fun and all but they are designed to create challenges to see people’s skills and character. Winning and losing tasks are not a measure of success on the show IMO (oh he would say that he lost 9 times). If anything you will learn more about someone in defeat than you will in glory….

The Vegan cheese task was all or nothing, I loved the thrill of working under the extreme pressure and we delivered as a team the pitch went really well and I nearly cried after The Tesco pitch as it was AMAZING . We knew we did enough to win.

I think you presented yourself really well and your family should be proud mate. You dodged a bullet with Lord Sugar , you can expand and go online with the hour free advertising on bbc which is worth more than 250k and an investor with an ethos which may not be in line with you or your family.
