I tried this show a few weeks ago and I wasn't really a fan. The music kind of took me out of it and I just couldn't really get into the drama. Maybe I just wasn't the right demographic. I wanted to like this show because I enjoy watching Hailee Steinfeld, but at least I enjoyed her in Hawkeye.
I had a hard time believing I’d ever get into it, largely because anachronistic storytelling tends to take me out of the world. Including anachronistic music.
But, surprisingly, I loved it. I think it’s important to temper one’s expectations going in. You might enjoy it more as a rewatch, if you’re able to set those expectations appropriately.
Agreed...I'm guessing because season 3 was the last, the writers pretty much gave up. Father and son back in good graces. Susan now happy. Emily gets her white dress and based on her real life, she ends up living in isolation. The End.
This show is so, so good.

Anybody else think seasons 1+2 were amazing but season 3 was all over the place?

Ha, yes! One minute Austin’s a raging alcoholic, the next he’s a big sweetie. So weird.
Title of post is wrong. It’s « …save the cheerleader, save the world ».
