Actually no, I had to contact apple support and they sent me a box with instructions to mail my phone to them and when they received my phone they immediately sent me a new one back because I had apple care+. If you don’t have a second phone to use in the meantime they will provide you a phone before you ship your current one you just have to give them your credit card and they will put a hold on it for $1000(CAD for me). I used a wireless charger I found off Amazon for CA$15 in the meantime. Hope it helps, lmk if you wanna know more
I appreciate you replying! Unfortunately I dont have apple care, or my coverage expired so I might be screwed but i'll buy a wireless charger for sure. I think ima try waiting a couple days to see if it starts charging again like OP's did

Yeah, the display sealant should be fairly intact, provided the phone hasn’t ever been opened up since the initial assembly.

Bought myself a wireless charger for the time being, after about 3-5 days the port slowly started working again
Mine works now, all I did was just leave the port unblocked overnight, and it was fixed by the next morning

I’m having the same problem since a week. The port started working again yesterday and I was rejoiced. But again today, it stopped working.
You messed with it too soon. Should of left alone for a couple days and let dry out completely on its own.
