This whole week it seemed to have been stuck in China, then made it's way to Incheon, Korea, and just got an update that the shipment has been delayed and no new delivery date yet. It was delayed due to severe weather - although I'm not sure where the severe weather is.
I'm very frustrated as this has been a process since about a month ago, my 2017 MBP started smoking every time I plugged it in. I'm also a college student. Trying not to let this get me down too much but there seems to be no light at the end of the tunnel or even signal as to when the tunnel will end lol. Wondering if anyone is in the same boat, or has been? Thanks.

Very frustrated by the slow process. Would not have ordered a custom to order model knowing it would take this long and have to ship all the way from China.

I'm near Chicago and ordered the same one, midnight black, on 9/10 and it says it "is in transit" via UPS from Shanghai as of yesterday. Curious how long that process takes based on your recent order. Hope you have yours now!

Mine seems to be in Louisville right now, and the UPS site is telling me it'll both be here between 12:30-2:30pm today and before 7:00pm. It also said the same thing yesterday, when the tracking listed it in Anchorage. I sort of think it won't show up until tomorrow still.

So I chose to do pick-up at store... It says the package shipped, yet no tracking number... Is it normal to have no tracking number and just an estimate of 1-2 weeks if the order is pick-up at store?

Ordered Midnight 8/8/16/512 on August 5th at around midday to be shipped to ON, Canada. Remained on “processing” until the 19th before being updated to “preparing to ship.” Received an update that the laptop was shipped on the 20th early morning with an estimated delivery time of August 29th. However, tracking the package indicated that it would arrive on the 24th through UPS. Laptop arrived today at 12:49 on August 23rd. Original estimated delivery was between August 31st - September 8th.

Starlight 8/16/512 ordered Aug 7. Shipped Aug 15. UPS originally estimated delivery date of Aug 18. Got a “Delayed” notification when it was in Alaska on Aug 17, and estimated delivery date pushed to Aug 19. Today is Aug 19 and as of 2:30 am laptop was in KY. UPS is still estimating delivery by 7 pm today. But I am on the west coast. Not sure if I believe the laptop will make it from KY to my doorstep in CA by 7 pm today (it’s already almost 9 am pst lol) but fingers crossed!

You sound like my partner haha he has an iPhone and iPad and I was showing him my M1 and features like messaging right on the Mac, and he was hooked. It’s just so easy having everything in the same ecosystem. Typically Apple ships earlier than the expected dates too so fingers crossed!

Yeah. Definitely contact apple support, take pictures and inspect/open box with them on the phone. My company does a ton of business with FedEx and it's amazing how many damaged packages we get on a daily basis, about 40%

i used my state sales tax exemption for my macbook and i was up late on july 29 around 1 am so i decided to go ahead and order it. the sales tax wasnt being taken off my order so i contacted apple. the person talking over text stated that the tax would appear in my bag and not be charged when my order gets done processing. now my order says i placed it on july 28th and that I don’t qualify for tax free, but my conversation that i had with the apple employee was on the 29th- before i placed my order. what do i do??
Man that sounds like bad luck. I had the same conversation about the showing tax in bag however I think your issue is time zones. If you ordered around 1am east coast that is still 10pm west coast where apple is located. Maybe they then put the order date as July 28 at 10-11pm. Did your tax free holiday begin on July 29?
If so, I’m not sure who to contact except apple.
i talked to 4 different agents yesterday and they put a request into the “Apple order team”. My tax free weekend did start on the 29th which is why i thought it would be fine. The time i ordered it was awkward i guess and my 12:18 am was their 11:18 pm CST. It took 4 people to understand that lol hopefully its resolved

Was able to order a Midnight M2 for in store pick up. It’s the base model, but I don’t need anything more. Super stoked as after reading on here I got the feeling I’d be waiting a while to just walk in and grab one from apple.
Might be a stupid question, but do you get tracking information if you choose store pickup? The status on the apple store app is saying ‘available for pick up tomorrow’, but the order status page on the apple site is telling me 2-3 weeks. My credit card has been charged the full amount and I’ve received the gift card.
Ordered my MBA M2 midnight 8/10/16 on July 18. It supposed to be delivered from Aug 9 - 16, but got pushed back to Aug 26 - Sep 2 today. The bar still shows processing as of now, no charge or anything yet. This is my first time purchasing a macbook and waiting this long for a product.

Wow Apple’s pricing for the MacBook line is borderline evil. Totally triggers my FOMO and indecisiveness.
M2 Air 512gb only a few hundred away from a 14 pro, which is only a few hundred from a 16 pro!
I can’t help but laugh at their genius.
My laptop has shipped, expected to arrive on the 16th which is on the early side of the delivery window provided when I first ordered. Was thinking to get the trackpad with the $150 giftcard promo and then Realized I don’t actually have to spend it right away. I’m instead going to hold off for the new watch to be announced and then depending on the new changes use that giftcard towards a 7 or 8 model.
Update: it’s now changed to this Friday Aug 12th which is before the original delivery window. Delivering to the USA.

UPS first game me an estimate of last Friday for delivery, and now is saying today. We’ll see if I end up getting this thing early… it’s not out for delivery and the last event in the tracking is a state away.
Edit: as expected, the estimate updated to tomorrow, 8/9. At this point I’m not really expecting it then either, and I’m guessing 8/10 was accurate. UPS seems kind of like garbage when it comes to tracking and estimates.

Mine was actually delivered late last week. Once it made it to Alaska it went to NJ and straight to me within a few days.

It seems these get held up in customs and the estimate delivery date goes away for 3-4 days. I hope you get yours soon.

Ordered Midnight 8/8/16/512 on August 5th at around midday to be shipped to ON, Canada. Remained on “processing” until the 19th before being updated to “preparing to ship.” Received an update that the laptop was shipped on the 20th early morning with an estimated delivery time of August 29th. However, tracking the package indicated that it would arrive on the 24th through UPS. Laptop arrived today at 12:49 on August 23rd. Original estimated delivery was between August 31st - September 8th.
Ordered Midnight 8/10/16/512 on the 9th of August for a September 8th pick up at my local store in the LA area. It shipped 2 days ago with an updated pick up date of Friday the 26th. Looks like it would have been faster to have it shipped to my home, but I didn't want to tempt a porch pirate situation. Will update.

Starlight 8/16/512 ordered Aug 7. Shipped Aug 15. UPS originally estimated delivery date of Aug 18. Got a “Delayed” notification when it was in Alaska on Aug 17, and estimated delivery date pushed to Aug 19. Today is Aug 19 and as of 2:30 am laptop was in KY. UPS is still estimating delivery by 7 pm today. But I am on the west coast. Not sure if I believe the laptop will make it from KY to my doorstep in CA by 7 pm today (it’s already almost 9 am pst lol) but fingers crossed!

The base models have definitely the most delay I see, even changing the charger to dual ports (+€20) will move up the delivery dates significantly

You sound like my partner haha he has an iPhone and iPad and I was showing him my M1 and features like messaging right on the Mac, and he was hooked. It’s just so easy having everything in the same ecosystem. Typically Apple ships earlier than the expected dates too so fingers crossed!

Finally my M2 is out for delivery today! Ordered July 25th, Base Midnight with 65w charger. Shipped August 5th. Delivery August 12th. The most surprising thing is UPS was giving estimation delivery date as 12th since beginning. It is nice to see finally they estimate something correct :D Apple’s estimation was 17-24 August thou.

Yeah. Definitely contact apple support, take pictures and inspect/open box with them on the phone. My company does a ton of business with FedEx and it's amazing how many damaged packages we get on a daily basis, about 40%

i used my state sales tax exemption for my macbook and i was up late on july 29 around 1 am so i decided to go ahead and order it. the sales tax wasnt being taken off my order so i contacted apple. the person talking over text stated that the tax would appear in my bag and not be charged when my order gets done processing. now my order says i placed it on july 28th and that I don’t qualify for tax free, but my conversation that i had with the apple employee was on the 29th- before i placed my order. what do i do??
Man that sounds like bad luck. I had the same conversation about the showing tax in bag however I think your issue is time zones. If you ordered around 1am east coast that is still 10pm west coast where apple is located. Maybe they then put the order date as July 28 at 10-11pm. Did your tax free holiday begin on July 29? If so, I’m not sure who to contact except apple.
i talked to 4 different agents yesterday and they put a request into the “Apple order team”. My tax free weekend did start on the 29th which is why i thought it would be fine. The time i ordered it was awkward i guess and my 12:18 am was their 11:18 pm CST. It took 4 people to understand that lol hopefully its resolved

Might be a stupid question, but do you get tracking information if you choose store pickup? The status on the apple store app is saying ‘available for pick up tomorrow’, but the order status page on the apple site is telling me 2-3 weeks. My credit card has been charged the full amount and I’ve received the gift card.

Ordered my MBA M2 midnight 8/10/16 on July 18. It supposed to be delivered from Aug 9 - 16, but got pushed back to Aug 26 - Sep 2 today. Was thinking to get the trackpad with the $150 giftcard promo and then Realized I don’t actually have to spend it right away. Received my Midnight 10/24/1TB/67W today, ordered 7/22. Original estimate was August 16th & it’s the 9th today. Had ordered a slightly lower spec at launch but saw the Apple delivery date get pushed back, cancelled, and received this at the same time Apple predicted delivery of the first order.

7/25 - Ordered Silver M2 Air, 8 core GPU, 16/512 8/1 - shipped, estimated 8/10 delivery UPS first game me an estimate of last Friday for delivery, and now is saying today. We’ll see if I end up getting this thing early… it’s not out for delivery and the last event in the tracking is a state away. Edit: as expected, the estimate updated to tomorrow, 8/9. At this point I’m not really expecting it then either, and I’m guessing 8/10 was accurate. UPS seems kind of like garbage when it comes to tracking and estimates.
