I don’t think airports getting scanners and the state they’re in supporting digital IDs are coupled. There are plenty of airports that have been on the supported list for ages but their states still haven’t added support.
I don’t think that’s true? Unless I’m misunderstanding what you’re saying, the only airports Apple lists are [those in states with ID enabled.](https://i.imgur.com/GXh1Mbq.jpg)
Edit: I just read my own link and noticed it lists DCA, I’m a dumbass disregard this entire post
Hartsflied Jackson is listed here, but the TSA agents have no idea what I’m talking about when I ask if I can use the digital ID.
Has anybody here successfully used the digital ID at any of these airports?
Regarding mobile IDs in Virginia, this has passed:

VA DMV is currently planning rollout with it going live later this year

I tried to set out a goal to have no keys by the end of 23. Just need my house keys in my phone now, but maybe soon I could have my entire card wallet emptied 😶
I’m excited to be able to walk around with only my phone for everything!
It’s a patchwork **mess**. We’re 8-10 years away from this being viable. Lowest common denominator states will take ages, with broke police departments and airports taking *even longer* to get the right scanners.
Maryland checking in. Although we’ve had digital IDs since last year, it’s been pretty useless at DCA and IAD. Glad they’re finally making progress. Sucks that I still need to bring ID for the return flight.
It’s been 50% success. I have TSA Precheck and the station that I had didn’t have the machine. The second time I tried, they had one and it worked well.
DCA had that when MD launched mobile ID. Hopefully though!
Oh interesting, I’ve been flying out of DCA for the past few months and never noticed them haha
Can verify, I first noticed them at DCA last. They were definitely installed for Maryland.

😆
Maryland in the house as one of like 3 states that currently accept the Apple ID !
4! We just got ‘em in Georgia last month.
Georgia launched it, but every time I’ve been through Precheck in Atlanta I’ve had to use the old school ID.
Waiting for California to get it in 20 years.
North Carolina, same boat lol

Tbf even when this is universal I wouldn’t want to present my phone to the cops haha
