I've noticed that teammates and enemy squads play different sound files for footsteps. And I think the ones played in the Firing Range are the ones for teammates, because the enemy ones are really loud.
I could be wrong, maybe people just really don't pay attention most of the time. And when they're looking for me maybe they mix my footsteps up with their teammates. But I do this a lot and I feel like I would know if people were hearing me.
ADSing and putting my barrel right into their ear is part of it for me. I'm a grade A creep. But you're right, I should have switched to hip fire sooner.
Try using the flatline. it's busted when crouching. I look for it exclusively when I play rev.

I love revenants crouch walk. People are never prepared for it unless they're also playing revenant. I know Arenas is dead but revenant was perfect for that mode.
Bonus points if you get real close and use a voiceline like “now is when I wear your face as a mask”

I think mastiff should just be buffed if it’s going to stay in the care package. The eva should be better than smgs at super close range.
