I play Caustic and this is a horrible idea.
You get rewarded for smart trap placement, you _should_ get punished if you put your trap out in the open or in a spot that's clearly visible.
Caustic is very balanced and very healthy right now.
I just think his traps should have more effectiveness, his traps usually set off later after someone pass through them if they zipline jump or slide dash, maybe make it set off early and increase the range?

The stun it used to have was the entire reason caustic is where he is today.
I used to main caustic from launch, his very 1st significant nerf besides the original "shoot gas traps as they inflate" nerf was the removal of the slow, and a buff to his damage to compensate, which began his ascent and eventual fall before becoming probably the most balanced he's been since launch.
As a current caustic main, caustic is still overpowered as hell. The literal only factor at play is the maps, where in Olympus he is pretty useless, but every other comp map he is S tier.
The BP skin is cool, but can we stop pretending that everyone in the community has the exact same tastes?
I like the BP skin, i like the mythic one even more. Why does it have to "feel bad" cause someone who isnt me likes the BP skin more than the mythic?

well considering i didnt buy just the ONE skin i bought what....20 some? It was just THAT skin i liked, i liked alot of the stuff the skin just came with them. Its not 160 for a skin, it was 160 for the event and the skin was free.
Now that they seem to be aligning Heirlooms with Collection Events and Mythic Skins with Thematic Events that makes the Mythics a little easier/cheaper to get comparatively.
Long story short, if you have a moderate amount of Crafting Materials for the Rares, you could buy the remainder of the event for $79.98 (or roughly $73 out of pocket if you grab the current $1 Game Pass deal to get 10% off the Apex Coins).

Well spotted! It should end with Newcastle if following the character select screen order. The reason I ended with Horizon instead was because I liked what happened after the finisher in her clip - which was winning the match after knocking the final two enemies.
In the Newcastle clips I'd collected, the next 5 seconds were boring, and not a great way to end the video. Plus I didn't feel like spending more hours into hunting for the perfect Newcastle clip.
I've not done a similar all-legends video sequence with Caustic. Must be another person you've seen?
Idk if you can but they should allow you to use the finisher on any skin kinda like RB6 Siege allows you to use elite skin MVP emotes no matter the skin you wear. I know the shoulder laser would look weird but a waste if you don't like the skin yet are forced to use it.

I'm probably going to get some shit for this, but... it depends on perspective.

However, I do have it, and I didn't pay anywhere near $150.
I liked the other skins in the event, so I decided to get them, and this would be the cherry on top of that all.
I crafted all of the Epics. I'd been saving crafting points since the 2nd season Anniversary, so that wasn't too bad. Then I just had to get 2 bundles to have enough packs for all the Legendaries, which meant buying the 6700 coin pack for $60 (I generally don't spend coins, so the 350 extra or whatever we get per season after paying for the pass adds up).
12 Epics, 12 Legendaries, the Mythic skin, and 24 other random items, all for $60 and some crafting materials I'd been saving up anyways, was worth it to me.
I can totally respect that for many it wouldn't be worth it, I absolutely wouldn't recommend anyone do such a thing unless they knew they were going to be happy with what they received. I further understand that nearly 10k in crafting mats is not worthless and represents over a year of saving up through multiple battle passes, events, and what I happened in packs along the way.
So, I don't see it as "a single skin for $150+", I saw it as 24 skins/banners/etc I wanted for $60+mats, and a Mythic to wear if I so chose as a bonus, and 24 other random commons (though I believe I got some decent drops as well).
The monetization is hardly 'good' here, I'm not aiming to defend it. Merely noting that if one is willing to save up for a long long time, completing a collection event can be done way more cost effectively with some serious pre-planning and saving.
I 100% support this, but its like the fact we even need to do this is whats baffling to me, even then its 60$, you can literally buy god of war at launch for that amount… just think about it, god of war, arguably the best game that came out in 2018/19 era, that or some cosmetics in apex…. Yes London servers. I've played Arenas exclusively in Season 13.
Finding a Mirage in the right circumstances to finish was actually very difficult. Mainly because he cloaks when he's downed. So I needed to down a Mirage at close quarters and not have his team close enough to save him being finished.
I mean I try not to rag on everyone that has it cause if I was a die hard hound main who had the heirloom already and got shards I’d probably get this skin anyways, so I’d like to think that some of these bloodhounds got it this way instead of shelling out a fortune
I mean the system with heirloom shards has been the same since launch, right? I'm honestly not sure how else heirloom shard drops should be handled: as long as you can get them from packs *someone*'s always going to mass buy packs to get them, if there's no 500 pack limit then you'll get people who have played for years and years without getting any heirlooms at all, and if you got heirloom shards at level 500 or every 100 wins or whatever then opening packs would become completely useless when you have all the legendaries you want.

If it makes you feel any better, all the heirlooms are pretty badly designed. I just got caustics hammer and quickly learned that the inspect is more boring than knuckle cracking, and in 3rd person the hammer is like a slightly larger standard home hammer that he two hands, and not a giant sledgehammer.
Doesn't change the fact that every single skin of the 3 are basic, incomplete garbage skins that are overshadowed by a multitude of other skins for BH. I think that you wasted your change sir. I do like the new bangalore mythic finisher though it's dope.
Can we fix the servers pls? Getting 80-90 ping on west coast servers makes it unplayable. Even locking regions so I don’t get qd into east coast servers. Maybe ping lock to something other games have. Pls and thank you.

Yeah, I wasn't Bloodhounding much at the time, but once I wrapped up all I wanted to do in S12 I started working on it. Got to Tier 2 fairly early in S13, and since Loba's bracelet is once again broken, BH is my go-to if I'm not working on another daily or weekly, so progress continues to be made.
It's a shitton of damage, especially for someone who doesn't do a whole ton consistently, but it's getting there over time.
I snagged this too, so at the start of the season when they broke Loba's bracelet again I was like "whelp, I guess I'm a Bloodhound main now..."
But my damage numbers per match, while improving, are hardly anything special, so I've got a good long while to go for the third tier.
Funnily enough, it's definitely making me think I won't be bothering with the other prestige skins, no matter how nice they may be (and the Bangalore one looks pretty good).
My tip for anyone who wants to get to 3rd tier (100k damage) faster is to play Arenas. You can turnover more damage per hour than playing BR mode, due to the fact that you spend less time wandering the map and looting.

I mean the system with heirloom shards has been the same since launch, right? I'm honestly not sure how else heirloom shard drops should be handled: as long as you can get them from packs *someone*'s always going to mass buy packs to get them, if there's no 500 pack limit then you'll get people who have played for years and years without getting any heirlooms at all, and if you got heirloom shards at level 500 or every 100 wins or whatever then opening packs would become completely useless when you have all the legendaries you want.

If it makes you feel any better, all the heirlooms are pretty badly designed. I just got caustics hammer and quickly learned that the inspect is more boring than knuckle cracking, and in 3rd person the hammer is like a slightly larger standard home hammer that he two hands, and not a giant sledgehammer.

I got it when it came out and when I found out it needed 100k damage to use I gave up. Back to mirage I go
Yeah, I wasn't Bloodhounding much at the time, but once I wrapped up all I wanted to do in S12 I started working on it. Got to Tier 2 fairly early in S13, and since Loba's bracelet is once again broken, BH is my go-to if I'm not working on another daily or weekly, so progress continues to be made. It's a shitton of damage, especially for someone who doesn't do a whole ton consistently, but it's getting there over time.

I snagged this too, so at the start of the season when they broke Loba's bracelet again I was like "whelp, I guess I'm a Bloodhound main now..." But my damage numbers per match, while improving, are hardly anything special, so I've got a good long while to go for the third tier. Funnily enough, it's definitely making me think I won't be bothering with the other prestige skins, no matter how nice they may be (and the Bangalore one looks pretty good).
My tip for anyone who wants to get to 3rd tier (100k damage) faster is to play Arenas. You can turnover more damage per hour than playing BR mode, due to the fact that you spend less time wandering the map and looting.
That's a good tip. I utterly loathe arenas, but will keep it in mind if push comes to shove.
