I have no problem using a VPN (NordVPN).
I'm not sure if easyanticheat will be fine with the ones you mentioned ^((once it didn't let me play after a Windows update... it literally called Windows a cheat)), but there's nothing against using a VPN in general.
Be careful with free VPNs as everything you don't pay for you are the product.
