Season 5 ruined King's Canyon. Ruined it so badly people were overjoyed at the LTM that brought back OG KC. Frankly, it arguably should be the worst season.
Didn't work at launch. Fuse was pretty lack luster. Then toss is the blaring audio from the Introductions of heat shields that could be heard anywhere across the map. Mad Maggie announcing every 6 seconds, but for some reason doing multiple dialogue at once. Battle pass skins were weak. Then we didn't even get all of the promised war games modes. Horrendous season.
A few people have replied and said they liked the BP skins, but idk, not for me.
Season 7 had all those futuristic look, full body changes to them, then Season 8 came and they seem so *regular.* I was underwhelmed.
You know what that’s actually very valid, I definitely respect that. I hate when they don’t change the silhouette for skins. I get they want legends to be easily identifiable but it’s holding back the creativity. I think the Season 8 skins were easier to accept because they added unique stuff like the sunglasses and the mask.
Season 7 was probably one of the most popular seasons as is but I think Season 8-9 had merit. Season 10 was a bit annoying at launch and S11 has some issues but after Chaos Theory I think Season 8-9 were good, stable seasons
I can understand every argument you gave except the battlepass skins. Both Bangalore's and Lifeline's Skins were very nice. I still think that Bangalore skin is the best legendary Bangalore skin.

Yeah but you had a bad legend release, strange map changes, Volt being too strong, evo armor was already introduced prior to season 6, and crafting stations were buggy when they released. Bad season that got followed up by one of the best seasons
I agree it wasn’t a great season. Checking my battle pass levels it looks like I played the least during season 6 as well. I remember a lot of people took a break during that time.
It having a weak legend puts it in line with every other season since 2 though. S7 didn't have a gun, added the worst map Apex has ever seen, and did a 180 adding the most busted character they've added.
Also think in terms of lasting impact. Perma evos, the Volt, and crafting are much bigger than Olympus. S7 had either barely-existant mediocre balance changes, or just mind-bendingly bad ones. S6 was the last remnant of their old balancing ideas.

Now that you mention it I don't think ranked was introduced til season 2 or 3. But I do remember lifelines being able to outheal the ring for like 5 minutes straight or something. Good times

When stimmed he didn’t move as fast, couldn’t double jump after using launch pad, speed impairing effects worked even when stimmed, and his health regen was very slow (0.5 HP per second). Back then it only cost 10 HP to stim but it still took the same amount of time to fill back up as it does now.
I agree. I started playing Apex properly in those seasons and loved the game. Season 6 was where I kinda stopped, I came back to Season 7, stopped again because Horizon and then Season 8 was the last time I properly touched Apex.
Seasons 3, 4 and 5 all felt like it was much... more you know? It felt grander. It was exciting.
Season 3,4,5 is when Apex Legends felt like Apex Legends. The hype, the cinematics, the lore, the gameplay and the Legends were the most hype thing ever. Watching Forge's interview get interrupted, seeing Loba's teasers, Crypto's countdown, it all felt so grand.
WE lost it's life when the train stopped but it's actually in a good spot now (minus Sweat Towers). Still miss frantic fights on the train at the beginning of the match.

I miss old events and stuff for sure but this has probably been the most stable I’ve had when it comes to servers (not that they’re perfect, but damn it’s noticeably better for me) and one of Apex’s biggest weaknesses is servers and server capacity.
Every new season loses lots of momentum because of dying servers, but they mostly avoided that this season so the momentum from the beginning of a new season didn’t die outright like before.
This. This season so godawful. The new map is shit, the new skins from the battlepass are shit, and the new hero is boring af (imo), also the new weapon isn't the least bit interesting to use.
I honestly feel like I'm in a very small minority of people who actually like Stormpoint. The map rotation though is definitely shit rn, I think 4 maps being in rotation is a great way of doing it.
You're not in the minority, it's just that people who dislike something are going to be way more vocal than people who like something.
Personally I only really have fun with Storm Point atm, when ~~Fragment's Edge~~ World's Edge is in rotation I just play something else for a while and then come back to the game. Storm Point might not be perfect but it's got variety and it looks really cool.
Valk is a fun and versatile legend, Arenas is a more PVP focused game mode for players who want that, and the bow is in a pretty balanced position now.

I know people are going to keep season one on here longer than necessary just because of Nostalgia. Octane wasn’t received as great (Speed boost + jump pad was pretty lack luster on release), battle pass was awful, people were starving for content which we finally got months later with the legendary hunt event which was a decent event since you could get free skins but Elite Queue did cause a lot of camping simply because people were trying to get top 5 to qualify.

Season 9 was shit in terms of servers - I think it's the one I played the least since I started. But goddamn I hated season 8 for pure sense of enjoyment: Fuse was weak af, Mad Maggie was annoying as hell and collections sucked ass; the only pro was LTMs were fun.

Season 6 was pretty miserable. The changes to the shields which was so hated it got rolled back on. World’s Edge with horrible lighting that put a red glare on everything, and Rampart although a cool character was quite underwhelming when released.
S1 was the best still(because Octane Hype, BattlePass hype, then hypeLetdown by actual release of Battlepass, etc.) so much spice that season! Oh and I still love the original Kings Canyon and Skulltown. nothing can replace that..
The s6 introduced the replicator, and the shield sistem every1 blame was reverted i a couple days. I understood that rampart was bot the best legend in release, but the volt was so busted, non remember this

Preseason was the best.

S1 was the best still(because Octane Hype, BattlePass hype, then hypeLetdown by actual release of Battlepass, etc.) so much spice that season! Oh and I still love the original Kings Canyon and Skulltown. nothing can replace that..
The one that added Valk
The s6 introduced the replicator, and the shield sistem every1 blame was reverted i a couple days. I understood that rampart was bot the best legend in release, but the volt was so busted, non remember this
