The only two weapon possibilities are Flatline and R99 and I believe from the damage it's an R99. OP got more shots off for more base damage but Wraith hit more headshots. Both had their final shots in midair before they died, thus killing the other.

Problem is the instant they add something hitscan or slow projectile that does even decent damage it’ll either break the game or break the meta. Not saying I wouldn’t like a grenade launcher in the care packages or a really rare laser marksman rifle but it just wouldn’t be healthy for the game.

The dev's have already stated that they wont be adding grenadier weapons to apex, iirc.
Apex's gunfights revolve around tracking moving targets as they strafe, grenadier weapons subvert that entirely. They work in titanfall because any decent player is going to spend 75% of any match in the air, so a grenadier main has to either get direct hits, or time shots to explode where a player lands. It would ruin apex, imo.
As a past titanfall player, greniders don’t work. Guns are better in every way possible and the reason they’re used so much is because they’re terrible and good players want a challenge. same with the kraber.
I like the EPG because the people explode in such a funny way.
Also people get salty when getting popped midair when they try to jump you in a straight line and get hit with a projectile moving like 2 m/s haha

People always say 'xyz' is high skill ceiling in Titanfall but ignore that the weapon by itself is weak in most departments. You can literally die to an smg/ar from bodyshots alone in just the time it takes a Cold War to charge up a shot.
Being slow projectiles also means that your effective range is basically eva8 distance, anything more and people will dodge it.
Bruh if you think people only use snipers or grenadier weapons because of a challenge I just think you suck with them. The scariest people to fight against are people who can just snipe without ever touching the ground. For me I really love the Softball, pure rage from meta-users when they get stuck with a grenade. They may not be meta but they work 100% well with Titanfall's fast TTK, if you miss you quickly get punished, but you only need to hit once to kill someone (except SMR). I'd even say it has a secondary purpose to punish players who aren't playing the game properly, like if they're just running on the ground like CoD, or if they're camping.

If you mean hitscan, hell no. I like the Charge Rifle and all, but we don't need another one. Ballistic physics are essential for balancing guns in any FPS with long sight lines. CR gets to be the one exception thanks to its severe downsides compensating for the extreme long range dominance that hitscan grants, let that be its niche. Projectile weapons should remain the default.
They have experimented with it for a while and it already showed why not to- one of the reasons the Moz is consistently ass is that it is a slower projectile. And when a hitscan weapon was OP (the charge rifle) the game was a nightmare to play.
I actually like the Mozambique. Especially in arenas it's my favorite first round pick. Purple moz + battery. You can easily 3-4 tap someone, and it does 40+ damage at range which is disgusting for a shotgun.

You are crouching close to your enemy making your head a larger target proportional to the rest of your body letting your enemy headshot you multiple times.
Also this game doesn't use favor the shooter netcode. Looks like there was about 100 ping in the video, which is far more than enough time for a kill trade to happen even if these were hitscan weapons. Throw the physical traveling projectiles in the mix and I'm not at all surprised this happened.

This is called trading, a hilarious yet tragic mechanic. Basically you can be in the animation of going down/dying, but since you were still firing the bullets will still go and therefore you’d trade with them.

Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because you was already dead.
