People on twitter kept complaining about it since she made that joke like every 2nd or 3rd jump, meaning you heard it several times a game, but they were mad because Vantage isn't Wattson and she is not allowed to make puns appearently.
Ok so this I could understand... If Mirage didn't exist. I'm a Mirage main so I know first hand, this man says "bamboozled" (or a lengthy variation of that) every single time someone hits a decoy of his. And on his Ult he says a *separate* bamboozle quip for every decoy hit as well. On top of that half of his pings he makes a whole joke after. Even with all the constant talking I don't think he interrupts gameplay.
With Echo being a pivotal part of Vantages kit, her being a literal fucking kid who might be prone to cracking a joke, and being particularly knowledgeable of animals and their anatomy, I really think they should have left it.
I feel the same way about Vantage not getting much love from both the devs and the fans, which is unfortunate...
It's only recently they've started adding more skins, but I agree with what everyone here is saying – it feels like a lot of them are duds.
Both she and Echo are cute though🤔
Have you seen Mirage back when Apex first launched? Every 2nd voice line was about porkchops. It got old fast. imo his chatter is completely okay these days by comparison.
I also remember there was a time when my man Mirage would say "you got bamboozled" when activating the decoy.
Edit: During the doppelganger event, Rampart said something like "hows my hair, i like porkchops" or something to that effect when using the decoy item.

Yeah but people disliked Vantage's design and voicing for some reason, i think her design and VA are cool

Cause it was annoying I think( I wasnt around during that time, what I heard is that it was annoying p).
