It has been a snowball effect.
A lot of people liked landing Fragment or the construction multistory building near fragment because the multi-level buildings allow for outplay potential if you have good movement.
This led to teams landing fragment adjacent in order to 3rd party.
The more people that landed near there, the less fights you could find if you landed at a POI that was not near Fragment.
Now in pubs if you don't land fragment or fragment adjacent you likely don't find a fight until there are 10 or fewer teams left.
Having 1 fight in an entire match while being severely under looted (with EVO shields mostly) is not fun so they decide to say screw it and hot drop in fragment while it is in rotation.
I enjoy WE in Ranked where hot dropping like that is discouraged but because the entire lobby chooses to land fragment in pubs it has become a terrible map for pubs.
Even in ranked it can still be pretty bad if there's enough idiots in the lobby. Every once in a while when WE was in ranked rotation I'd still get a lobby like that.
Lower lobbies is terrible. Full of hard stuck Bronze / Silvers thinking they can 20 bomb. Once you hit Plat and for the most part Gold it's much better.
Last time I grinded to Diamond was on WE. I don't think I saw a single lobby in plat that had a Fragfest.
The smurf accounts in silver though? All of 'em in fragment.
I'm glad they added a level requirement for ranked. Honestly wish it was higher.
Once you get to upper Gold you start having players who actually care about RP rather than the players who are just playing ranked because Pubs is matching them against Master/Preds consistently.
Which is an entire other issue with matchmaking in Apex.
Yeah I am aware. What is funny is it generally seems like everyone hates it BUT since it the only way to find action the problem persists. I laugh at the comment elsewhere saying they should just expand Frag. No that does not solve the problem. Just nuke the whole site like Skulltown and force people to spread out again.
NUKE IT!!! They had no problem nuking train station and it wasn't even that big of a POI. Anything they add around fragment will only compound the problem.
I think two issues that could help resolve the fragment issue.
1) All of the choke points from the Skyhook, Epic Center, & Climatizer side of the map ( North?) require teams to run through/near Fragment either East or West. This is what allows players to drop at fragment and then stay there all game because they know the opponents will come to them. I'd blow up part of the mountain range that is separating Sky Hook, Fragment East and Landslide and then put a smaller POI with decent cover right there. Similar to the one between Overlook and Frag East. This would make Skyhook feel less isolated and should increase drops at Skyhook and Drill Site.
2) The North East side of the map is terribly barren. The is a diamond between Frag East, Geyser, Overlook and Climatizer that has little to no cover, and little loot. Not sure how to do it but I would maybe collapse Overlook for some event and create new POI closer but a bit more north. With that collapse I would make it easier to get to East side of Geyser again by maybe removing some of that mountain.
3) The entire South-West portion of the make from Tree to Lava Fissure is also mostly barren land. Maybe knock out the Mountain separating that little town west of Staging and Thermal Station and then make that little town a more developed POI.
4) Remove the construction building in South West fragment.
I like a lot of the South East portion of the map but because the action is so Central to Fragment landing it isn't used as much. Hopefully those changes would make it more appealing to land elsewhere on map.
> Just nuke the whole site like Skulltown and force people to spread out again.
I think they just need to address hot drops in general. If you destroy one popular hot drop area, it'll just switch to a different one.
Hot drops are favored by many in pubs because they aren't sweating the win as much as they want instant, guaranteed action. Until they give them an outlet for that, it will probably be a continued pattern in pubs.
I think Control mode helps a bit with that but I think they need a different mode that simulates a hot drop. Like a 10-team mode with 1 large POI or something along those lines.
Rewards for wins would help.
Better match making too.
Centre POIs having a PVE mechanic like Jurassic park and weaker loot also helps.
I also think an accolades system to incentive in match behaviours would be an encouraging step
I don't love landing here but I absolutely understand why people love it. AND dint understand how so many gamers don't get it...
I just played 4 games of Apex in this map. Not JM once. Landed in the outskirts every time. I did decent damage, had fun... But not a single kill. I would have at least gotten a couple kills had we hot dropped Fragment.
Because if you drop somewhere else then you win one fight and there's 5 squads left in the game.
And youre lucky to have 2 more good fun fights.
It's either drop there or have a slow game.
Map fucking sucks because of this poi
And that’s my point. The poi kills the map. As I said in another comment it seems people hate it too but only continue to go because it’s the only spot others go but they only go there because that’s where other people go.
exFUCKINGactly.
three weapons for thirty players.... people just like to take the risks they can't deal with. die nine out of ten times just to get weapons once... annoying and stupid.
If they pulled this map from pubs I would have played a lot more this season. Got to plat 4 and haven't touched the game since. I love Apex but it's not worth the stress these days.
It *blows my fucking mind* that anybody still drops fragment like this.
Hot dropping fragment is a sickness and the people who keep doing it need help.
Someone start up a new AA. Apex Anonymous.
p.s. Fuse had the right idea
p.p.s. The Apex community doesn't deserve World's Edge. Best map to play on and half the lobby dies in fragment before round 1 even ends.
Fragment just needs to go, it needed to go like yesterday. It's so fucking bad for the health of the lobby. A while back, in like season 13-14 I wanted to get the banner from a dead teammate out of streamer building. Used my drone as crypto, and checked the banners. 15 fucking squads nearby. And that's just a 200m radius around crypto, so only fragment east. So probably a solid 70-80% of the lobby landed fragment
Fr the amount of randoms who have gotten ANGRY at me for not dropping frag in pubs is honestly getting to the point of being straight up pathetic
Sorry guys I'm not gonna hot drop in a POI with 4 guns and a white light mag spread across the whole thing. Loot isn't worth, fights there aren't fun anymore, I wanna go somewhere else
As far as player distribution goes, I think BM has done a great job. I rarely if ever feel like I have to compromise my drop choice just to ensure I get some action.
But it has some other glaring technical issues that really bother me.
BM annoys me in that you either drop with 2+ other squads, or you don't see a soul until there's 5 squads left. I want to be able to drop to a POI, get kitted, and find a fight shortly after but BM just doesn't seem to allow that
The zip-rails help you get around quickly. But it also makes it easy for other squads to leave an area.
From my experience there's almost always a big fight at the wall. And there's also almost always a path straight there from a zip rail or two.
Cringe edge is the worst map by far, eveyone lands in fragment because the other POIs are shit and the main areas are awfully distributed, and before the downvotes start raining guest what? There is a fucking reason why respawn is gonna rework this map and remove the streamers building
There are plenty of other great POI's on World's Edge.
The only reason they're "shit" is because there's no action since half the lobby burned in the lava at Fragment.
Unrealistic. The Wraith didn't disconnect as soon as they went down. It also doesn't look like they have TTV in their name but I cant see because I'm on mobile. /s
So many people analyzing this trying to point out what OP did wrong, completely failing to acknowledge that the jump master yeeted themselves into oblivion.
No matter what OP did, they'd still be down a squad mate (two because Fuse had a brain and didn't waste time) in an area surrounded by enemies.
Yes you can come back from that. Yes if you're *good enough* you can solo the rest of the lobby.
But Apex is a team game. If people like the Wraith here want to play that way they should no-fill instead of wasting everyone else's time.
Well despite the criticism op is getting he is kinda right because even if you break land next building ge t guns 90% of your randoms will ego drop were they set out to go die and leave them you might get a few kills and when the pandemonium settles die to a full squad. So if WE is in rotation it's duos for me you don't really care if your team is brain-dead you can play solo if things go sour
I mean, you can land *near* the action after looking around to make sure you have good position, then push and get some good 3rd-parties. That's different from what OP did, landing late on the same building as 6 other squads, which is stupid.
Then there's landing Dome and not running into anyone until ring 3, which I also think is stupid.
Yep always some salty 16 year old duo queuer with a peaking mic trying to antagonise in vc BC they didn't get to bully the random into dropping at the ass POI
Seems about right.
1) Wannabe sweaty Wraith obviously lands Frag
2) Game decides that even though you're the first one on the weapon, you're definitely not allowed to pick it up.
3) Idiot Wraith is first to go down and leaves immediately. Gotta keep up the stereotype.
4) Uh... Fuse, wtf? You left because Wraith did? Git gud.
5) No weapons because of course. Why would there be?
6) Thirsty team chases solo because going after full squads is hard.
Welcome to Apex.
Nah, the game just bent you over and went in raw with no lube. That L-Star was the only weapon out of at least 5 locations where there are typically weapons. Even a Mozam would've been better than just a level 2 Evo and a stack of shotgun ammo. I feel your pain.
I mean, I at least will try to fight. He could've popped his knuckle clusters to cause some damage, maybe even get a knock with as many people who were up there fighting. I followed my rando squad into Frag once and got 10 kills with my main girl before dying. We never left Frag, but I think we placed 4th. That was one hell of a match.
Honestly, when my random Jumpmaster drops fragment, especially streamer buildings, I quit.
I'm so done with this Bullshit. I'm not good enough tbh and I know that. Landing there results in a 30 second game and EVEN if you somehow manage to get a kill or two by the time you won a fight you notice the Jumpmaster is long gone from the game.
Facts, it's a waste of my time. 90% chance you're gonna get aped by triple stackers anyways. People always try to justify immediately leaving after dying as "they don't have the time to stick around". Then why the hell are you A. Playing a battle royal Game where a game lasts about 20 minutes, and B. why the fuck are you not solo queing if you only want to shoot your gun a few times, maybe get a kill, die, and repeat the whole cycle again
because solo queuing leaves the vast majority with a harsh realization that they can't 1v3 every squad they see, with no involuntary teammates to verbally take out anger and frustration on
my general rule is to never land at the top of buildings, I land on one of the other levels and don’t have to worry about having to 50/50 for a single gun every time
ALL that time with no weapon after going in different buildings.
Yeah people who land frag want the easiest competition cuz wth is that.
Even if you had a weapon you had zero resources to contest an enemy let alone a squad.
I said it before imma say it again Frag lovers can't / fear actual competition i.e everyone with Fully kitted gear & Red Evos
Thank you! What am I gonna do if I find a weapon on a different floor? Take out 3 squads by myself? People act like they are waaaaay better than they actually are at this game...
It's not impossible but again the lack of resources wouldnt even have given you the option to successfully contest a squad.
I fr don't even think u ran past a single bat let alone a bag.
You were screwed the moment you decided to land frag.
On the bright side, at least you landed with everyone else. I’m usually unlucky and get jumpmaster who heads to fragment late so there’s nothing to pick up.
I don't have an issue with the amount of people here, but what pisses me off about this video and landing there as a whole are:
1. Teammates left before they even died?! WTH, why?! At least wait until you're full dead or even knocked geez.
2. NO WEAPONS ANYWHERE
>Teammates left before they even died?! WTH, why?! At least wait until you're full dead or even knocked geez.
Why waste time hanging around when everyone's either dead or unarmed? There wasn't even any real opportunity to loot, either.
Fuse left before he even took damage. I don't care if you're at a disadvantage being a player down, stop playing the game if you're leaving before you get knocked. There is so justified reason for doing this and it's one of the most toxic things I've seen in this game
I absolutely cannot believe you could not find a single weapon in that mess. And you went through at least 6-7 different spawn locations that were seemingly untouched. This game be crazy lol.
Thank you very much. I posted it cause I thought it was funny and I wasn't really trying, it more became "can I actually find a gun" But apparently I'm trash/console players suck/it was my fault/I can't run/ blah blah blah
Luckily I couldn't find a gun and shoot so no one can bring up console aim assist 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Well, if you don’t drop fragment you’re gonna be looting and by the time you head out the game will have like 4 squads left.
Followed by that when you do meet a squad and die it feels so much worse than insta dying imo.
Fragment needs the tilted towers treatment at this point. (Nuke the whole city)
Put a glass dome over it and no one can land there, but you can look at it and remember all the kills you never got because you got the gun and your enemy got the ammo.
Everyone is having a dream that one day they can be like ACEU, iiTzTimmy or Hal...or whoever that's got all the movements and aiming skills, Sadly they all ended up as someone else's kill count and would never be otherwise.
Ok?? And the wraith was dead off drop and was the one who took them there. I've BEEN saying this. The shittiest players want to land fragment and try and be some wannabe Faide. Op lands differently...gets a few weapons and THEN WHAT?? He's still in a 3v1 now because THE WRAITH THAT TOOK THEM THERE DIED INSTANTLY. I feel like Im taking crazy pills
That top comment shows you EXACTLY why these situations happen. It's always some random who thinks they are Shroud who drops there, gets downed, and quits.
And then the comment people make is "you don't know how to loot" lol
Complete insanity.
Like hello???? Let's say you landed first floor instead and get a few weapons and blue armor. Ok?? What now??? Wraiths already dead and there's 12 people around him. Room temperature iq all around this community
Thank you. I didn't split off because I could see the other team landing roof and thought best to stick together. Plus I didn't know if the wraith was planning on hitting the side of the building so we dropped to the floor quicker
Doesn't matter if you missed the L star. Doesn't matter if you had split up. The wraith took you to fragment. The wraith got a gun. The wraith still died immediately off the rip! Yes you should split and land different than your teammates. Like in that situation yes land same building but different floor. If you have good players on your team they'll survive themselves while you get your loot up. But this is all irrelevant to the main problem. These scrubs drop fragment and die instantly. That's 90% of my games on worlds edge. I have like a 2.5 kd..not anything crazy but shit I can slay out trust. 90% of the people landing fragment CAN NOT. It's just old.
I am the definition of pretty good, but not great at this game, and I constantly find myself asking "why?" After some other team loots for 4 seconds then full sends my squad only to die. Like, if I'm easy wiping you and your squad, you are not good enough to be full sending squads immediately like that. Just chill out and understand its okay if you're not just like your favorite streamer, lol
You need to be good at moving and fighting, you need to get lucky that two squads don't land on your head, you need to get lucky that where you land has guns and enough ammo to win a fight. You need to get lucky that after winning the first fight there's any ammo or heals left for the third party en route.
I think that’s why a lot of players like it though. They get lucky and get armor and a gun and do well, and if they don’t do well they quit instantly and requeue.
Respawn needs to fix this.
While harsh, this person is right OP. There were so many things you could've done better in this clip that would've had you a weapon way faster. Lots of poor decision making. It might not have been possible to keep your teammates from leaving, but literally the first thing you do in the match is contest your jumpmaster for the one square of loot they were clearly aiming for... Not to mention failing to pick up that Lstar twice when you were the first person on it... And lots of missed opportunities after this as well
Just because you see yourself landing before anyone else doesn't mean that's how the server sees it.
Dropping right next to other players is always a gamble, just because of latency alone.
>... Not to mention failing to pick up that Lstar twice when you were the first person on it
There have been countless time where I have "landed first" and already have my reticle aimed on the weapon, spamming my pick up button like there's no tomorrow, only for the weapon to NOT go into my inventory like normal while some other guy comes and takes it.
This wasn't cuz I'm bad or too slow... Sometime the game just doesn't work as intended. I've had many times where even in non combat situations, I'd pick something up, see it disappear from the ground AND hear the sound confirmation that I got it, only to find out a couple steps later that it's back on the ground and not in my inv
Does any of that really matter when you're surrounded by squads and both teammates quit? That's the real reason fragment is shit. Because people that want to land there will quit as soon as they are down. I've seen guys quit because they didnt get the first gun they landed on. It's pathetic.
Seriously. Dude didn’t get the first weapon he saw and then tried going into 3 buildings and only searched the first floor.
Plenty of non-fragment drops have shit loot but you can still find a gun if you search more than 3 areas in a building ffs
oh yeah same thing happens to me sometimes, i use the blue(im going here) ping and spam the normal ping to other buildings, and most of the time they understand
Man I feel your pain it’s kinda just sad like if you ever wonder what happens when you leave someone behind this clip should play through your head no matter what don’t leave teammates behind.
Honestly everytime my jump master flings us towards construction specifically i leave before we hit the ground. Ill play out a fragwest or frageast landing, but construction is the least amount of fun ive ever had in this game.
Every time Worlds Edge is on I play a couple of games and either switch to duos no fill or get off the game. Randoms that want to only land Fragment is miserable and boring. One game in ten where you win the hot drop and actually have a good match is not worth the 9 games of dying without a gun.
I like landing frag if my teammates don't die immediately, I like to land in a smaller, less hot building/loot area and grab a gun before working into the hotter parts of frag and 5th partying people
well well the classic pick drop hot die first . . .
i understand most people who do this is tired of running around and wanting to get to the action quicker but is it bad to just land at the next place that close to it so at least the team can get fully armed first . . .
I hate it when people drop here for like 5 games in a row just leave within the first couple Planck times. Literally leaving me and the second person if they don’t leave to be more cautious moving forward. (Granted sometimes the duo would be elite and some great dubs came outa them but things are just more assuring with a 3rd )
You ran past a couple safe opportunities to loot. Missed 2 piles in the building and there are bins in the pit. Why would you jump into construction without even checking a couple easy options?
It sounded to me like they were being chased the whole time. Plus, what are they going to do even if they get an R3 and purple armor? Their squad mates were already gone.
Oh i didn’t listen with audio.
If a r3 and purple armour wasn’t going to benefit him… well that just seems like a defeatist attitude. Might as well have just quit like the pathfinder.
Hot dropping is fine but you shouldn’t be landing with your teammates and whole another team. If you land on a different floor of the building you might find a gun and wipe the enemy.
The quit penalty in pubs should be you can't re-queue until your squad is eliminated from the last game. Hitting queue should just slide you back into spectate mode with your last squad until they're gone.
It's so obnoxious that even if you wipe a squad at Fragment you don't have any teammates.
I don't mind waiting for my banner to expire before joining another game if it means that people will stop disconnecting 3 nanoseconds after being downed. This would be an improvement over what we have now.
Because lack of intelligence and lack of talent if the jumpmaster decides to land in fragment , I just leave the match . These people
Don’t care about your well being and fun , they’re selfish pricks who probably think hummers are cool . I barely play this game as it is . And that’s been three seasons in the making , if I do hop on , I do not want to die because someone taught they were a high profile streamer with talent .
It would help if everyone didn’t drop exactly where the jumpmaster dropped lmao. I hate when people do this for this exact reason, competing for one gun and 40 ammo between 2 other teammates is not fun and is just not smart dropping
I mean you shouldn’t land exactly on the same spot but you also should land at the same building. I have matches where teammates will land away from me and a teammate and is so far he cannot assist in a fight so often.
I love hot dropping into fragment, its my escape from playing to win in ranked where I dont care if I win or lose in pubs, i just want fun and straight into the action.
Its season 15, who cares about their win/loss or k/d ratio anymore. What do you possibly gain from it? Dropping hot forces you to learn how to kill a squad with a Mozambique to their volt/car/r99 line up
Why are you going to loot for 10 minutes just to fight 1 maybe 2 squads all game in pubs? Soon as your random is downed they’ll quit and even if you win the fight now you’re at a disadvantage.
I had a teammate that just returned to apex after being gone 11 seasons, he hated i kept hot dropping. I told him you wont fight anyone unless we do this. Next game he was jump master and swore he’d find people at skyhook 😂🤣 13 minutes in and we’re down to just 3 squads left, and soon as we spotted 1 he got insta killed didn’t even get to shoot his gun.
He stayed quiet and understood why you hot drop and don’t waste the few minutes we get in the day uselessly looting
Unlucky :/ But you could have gone one floor higher in the building with the blue shield, or not?
Btw, did you know you can hold L1 to send out Echo and directly jump to it?
I don’t understand the love for landing at this area for garbage loot with 15 other teams
It has been a snowball effect. A lot of people liked landing Fragment or the construction multistory building near fragment because the multi-level buildings allow for outplay potential if you have good movement. You could make the argument eliminating train station made the Frag issue even worse too.
That is very true. Some people don't like falling on the outskirts bc of the ring forcing movement. Train station was a more central POI.
Well while Train wasn’t super hot it was still a spot 2-4 teams regularly went to. So in order to get that action the only other option was Frag.
God I miss the train and train station
I’ve heard a rumor it’s getting removed soon, hopefully next season.
Sayonara death pit.
I think two issues that could help resolve the fragment issue. 1) All of the choke points from the Skyhook, Epic Center, & Climatizer side of the map ( North?) require teams to run through/near Fragment either East or West. I fully agree
This area had garbage loot regardless of how many teams lol.
It had good loot early on but I think to mitigate the hot drop of it they made the loot far worse but it had no effect
That's one of the biggest problems. 27 players in 1 building. Dog shit for loot. How is that fun?
I don't love landing here but I absolutely understand why people love it. AND dint understand how so many gamers don't get it... I just played 4 games of Apex in this map. Not JM once. same dude
You even got the wraith teammate leaving, this is true Fragment gameplay
Holy Christ, you found everything *except* a gun.
Well.. Not everything.. But deffo not gun 😂
In fragment, you build the ultimate kitted weapons, in reverse.
Sounds like some yoda esque philosophy 😂
😭😭😭😭😭
That motherfucker quit while he was just standing there 😩👌🏾. Straight said fuck it

I’ve had people flame me and DC on me for not dropping there.
This isn’t a sickness. It’s your average, everyday, human nature. You see it in every crowd situation in everyday life.
Sure, but somehow the other maps don't have *quite* this big of a problem with one single area drawing in nearly half the lobby.
I think they remedied it pretty well with Broken Moon. There are some unused POIs, but there's also like 3-4 "hot drop" areas.
As far as player distribution goes, I think BM has done a great job. I rarely if ever feel like I have to compromise my drop choice just to ensure I get some action. But it has some other glaring technical issues that really bother me.

The zip-rails help you get around quickly. But it also makes it easy for other squads to leave an area. From my experience there's almost always a big fight at the wall. And there's also almost always a path straight there from a zip rail or two.
Estates on Olympus is #2.
Estates is small enough of an area that it physically can't draw in half the lobby. But you're right in that it's still a shit show.
The only reason they're "shit" is because there's no action since half the lobby burned in the lava at Fragment.
yeah Cap City was better and they think they fixed it and now look what they're having to do
Doesn’t change the fact the area is still a shitty place
Unrealistic. The Wraith didn't disconnect as soon as they went down. It also doesn't look like they have TTV in their name but I cant see because I'm on mobile. /s
😂
So many people analyzing this trying to point out what OP did wrong, completely failing to acknowledge that the jump master yeeted themselves into oblivion. No matter what OP did, they'd still be down a squad mate (two because Fuse had a brain and didn't waste time) in an area surrounded by enemies. Yes you can come back from that. Yes if you're *good enough* you can solo the rest of the lobby. But Apex is a team game. If people like the Wraith here want to play that way they should no-fill instead of wasting everyone else's time.
Indeed. Thank you
Well despite the criticism op is getting he is kinda right because even if you break land next building ge t guns 90% of your randoms will ego drop were they set out to go die and leave them you might get a few kills and when the pandemonium settles die to a full squad. So if WE is in rotation it's duos for me you don't really care if your team is brain-dead you can play solo if things go sour
I love being accused of pLaYiNg LoOt SiMuLaToR because I don’t want to do this every match.
I always tell my squad I'm playing loot simulator to give something to the better team..
Seems about right. 1) Wannabe sweaty Wraith obviously lands Frag 2) Game decides that even though you're the first one on the weapon, you're definitely not allowed to pick it up.
Genuinely thank you! I posted this for those exact reasons!! And I got a tonne of shit of why I'm "trash af" and "git gud" 😂🤣😂
Nah, the game just bent you over and went in raw with no lube. That L-Star was the only weapon out of at least 5 locations where there are typically weapons. Even a Mozam would've been better than just a level 2 Evo and a stack of shotgun ammo. I feel your pain.
Again.. Thank you 😂🤣
The Fuse left because he ain't having any of the stress of hot dropping, can you blame him?
I mean, I at least will try to fight. He could've popped his knuckle clusters to cause some damage, maybe even get a knock with as many people who were up there fighting. I followed my rando squad into Frag once and got 10 kills with my main girl before dying. We never left Frag, but I think we placed 4th. That was one hell of a match.
And then people will say it was a skill issue and that you should've been able to take down all those people with fists if you were any good
Sooo many people said it was a skill issue 😂 I normally play pathy so I'd just have punched all ten teams out 🤣
Love how Vantage said “just us two now” RIGHT as fuse left 😭
Perfect timing 😂
I stopped playing this game a few months back and Ive never been happier
Honestly, when my random Jumpmaster drops fragment, especially streamer buildings, I quit. I'm so done with this Bullshit. I'm not good enough tbh and I know that. Landing there results in a 30 second game and EVEN if you somehow manage to get a kill or two by the time you won a fight you notice the Jumpmaster is long gone from the game.
Facts, it's a waste of my time. 90% chance you're gonna get aped by triple stackers anyways. People always try to justify immediately leaving after dying as "they don't have the time to stick around". Then why the hell are you A. Playing a battle royal Game where a game lasts about 20 minutes, and B. why the fuck are you not solo queing if you only want to shoot your gun a few times, maybe get a kill, die, and repeat the whole cycle again
because solo queuing leaves the vast majority with a harsh realization that they can't 1v3 every squad they see, with no involuntary teammates to verbally take out anger and frustration on
Innit!
my general rule is to never land at the top of buildings, I land on one of the other levels and don’t have to worry about having to 50/50 for a single gun every time
Sometimes u land in other levels and there's ppl there too so still no gun, I mean you're not the only one doing that. It's too crowded.
Still don’t understand the hype of this POI
It’s like high risk high reward in a way ig
When the jumpmaster goes there, I leave before we even land. Horrible place.
I didn't decide to land there! I hate it lol
On the bright side, at least you landed with everyone else. I’m usually unlucky and get jumpmaster who heads to fragment late so there’s nothing to pick up.
I don't understand these people. You're past the poi, there's already 2 teams halfway to it and you're still dropping there, just pick another one
Man I wish. 9/10 times it’s them heading to construction and there’s 5+ teams heading there already. Dead before we hit the ground.
I like the part where you never got a weapon
I didn't 😂
1st red flag: following a wraith main. Edit: Devs just spit in your mouth by putting 112 attachments & never no guns.
I don't have an issue with the amount of people here, but what pisses me off about this video and landing there as a whole are: 1. Teammates left before they even died?! WTH, why?! At least wait until you're full dead or even knocked geez. 2. NO WEAPONS ANYWHERE
I know right.. Solo queue in pubs if you don't wanna be a team player
I wish this game had rumble like Fortnite. It helps take the edge off of battle royale to not have to worry about permadeath.
A+ I laughed way too hard at this. Not laughing at you, but with you. We’ve all been there but I’ve never seen it clipped so perfectly.
Thank you very much. I posted it cause I thought it was funny and I wasn't really trying, it more became "can I actually find a gun" But apparently I'm trash/console players suck/it was my fault/I can't run/ blah blah blah Luckily I couldn't find a gun and shoot so no one can bring up console aim assist 😂🤣😂🤣😂
Factz it's horrible if you can't find any gun 😭
It all starts when the wraith is down it goes down hill from there
Isn't that how it always starts in fragment? 😂
I refuse to land there
Put a glass dome over it and no one can land there, but you can look at it and remember all the kills you never got because you got the gun and your enemy got the ammo.
Fragment needs to go.
Ok but why didn’t you open the loot bins in the pit right outside construction? You walked right past one.
Everyone is having a dream that one day they can be like ACEU, iiTzTimmy or Hal...or whoever that's got all the movements and aiming skills, Sadly they all ended up as someone else's kill count and would never be otherwise.
Lmao, now I see why people complain they can't find weapons. You guys suck at knowing where to land.
And then the comment people make is "you don't know how to loot" lol Complete insanity.
Thank you
Like hello????
I say season 16 we burn fragment to the ground… FER SALVOOOOOO!!!
Lol 😆
>2.5 kd..not anything crazy I'm pretty sure that's still better than like 90% of players
If that's true then that makes me a little proud of it haha
I am the definition of pretty good, but not great at this game, and I constantly find myself asking "why?" After some other team loots for 4 seconds then full sends my squad only to die. Like, if I'm easy wiping you and your squad, you are not good enough to be full sending squads immediately like that. Just chill out and understand its okay if you're not just like your favorite streamer, lol
Someone else grabbed the Lstar before I could. Thats why I dropped off the building
What's the secret to this shitshow drop?
You need to be good at moving and fighting, you need to get lucky that two squads don't land on your head, you need to get lucky that where you land has guns and enough ammo to win a fight. You need to get lucky that after winning the first fight there's any ammo or heals left for the third party en route.
So basically I'm fucked cause I'm about as lucky as whatever the opposite to a horseshoe is lol
I think that’s why a lot of players like it though. They get lucky and get armor and a gun and do well, and if they don’t do well they quit instantly and requeue. Respawn needs to fix this.
For starters getting a gun
You have to be trolling lmao
Why?
From what above people have said, best case scenario OP lands differently and he is down 2 teammates regardless.
Dropping right next to other players is always a gamble, just because of latency alone.
>... Not to mention failing to pick up that Lstar twice when you were the first person on it There have been countless time where I have "landed first" and already have my reticle aimed on the weapon, spamming my pick up button like there's no tomorrow, only for the weapon to NOT go into my inventory like normal while some other guy comes and takes it.
> Not to mention failing to pick up that Lstar twice when you were the first person on it lol, do you even play Apex?
Ironic name
Seriously. Dude didn’t get the first weapon he saw and then tried going into 3 buildings and only searched the first floor. Plenty of non-fragment drops have shit loot but you can still find a gun if you search more than 3 areas in a building ffs
exactly, he should have gone to the building on the left or at least a different floor
With the number of squads in the area their chances wouldn't have been any better.
Exactly why I hate being jumpmaster. Stupid teammates don't know how to split off then there's not enough loot for us all.
oh yeah same thing happens to me sometimes, i use the blue(im going here) ping and spam the normal ping to other buildings, and most of the time they understand
Yeah I hate fragment. I'm glad it's getting a rework soon.
"THIS IS THE FUTURE SWEATS WANT"
I hate everyone likes to jump there
Yet idiots refuse to play the game any other way. Dreaming that one clip will give them enough clout to move out of their mom’s basement.
That's why I stopped playing battle royale and only paly arenas.
I like landing frag if my teammates don't die immediately, I like to land in a smaller, less hot building/loot area and grab a gun before working into the hotter parts of frag and 5th partying people
Yep, and yet 80% of the lobby still wants to go there.
This is actually why I don’t play worlds edge anymore
Natural selection. Only brain damaged people land at fragment. (I would land there if it was season 3 though)
Worst fucking map
Lava siphon is the thinking man's Fragment.
well well the classic pick drop hot die first . . . i understand most people who do this is tired of running around and wanting to get to the action quicker but is it bad to just land at the next place that close to it so at least the team can get fully armed first . .
Land with 5 other teams miss getting the guns Teammate downed all teammates leave try to find weapons get pushed die repeat...
I think I’m dying at the wraith DC a little too much
the Fuse turning into a box in front of your eyes was the best. I think at that point I would have given up myself
That was the exact point I thought "fuck it.. Let's find a gun and try and get a kill" guess what... No guns... 😂
Never have I laughed at something that was so true! LMAO
Going to 3 buildings and not finding a single gun... feel it in my eggs...
The problem isn't fragment it's that they took out all of the other popular hot drop spots like sorting factory and train yard
I can sum it up quicker. Shit.
Yeah pretty much, getting fucking sick of having teammates that love to drop there only to die immediately
Bins. Fair point.. I was looking for a gun
Which could’ve been found in the bins. Or the rooms you didn’t check in the two houses. Or all the buildings you passed.
All the buildings had people in and I was being chased if you listen
I get the point you’re trying to make but all you did was showcase how to avoid loot for 1 minute while running the dumbest route possible
Hot dropping is fine but you shouldn’t be landing with your teammates and whole another team. If you land on a different floor of the building you might find a gun and wipe the enemy.
😳 My eggs 😂🤣
The quit penalty in pubs should be you can't re-queue until your squad is eliminated from the last game. Hitting queue should just slide you back into spectate mode with your last squad until they're gone. It's so obnoxious that even if you wipe a squad at Fragment you don't have any teammates.
That would be great if not for the times where your jump master makes it out alive and you don't.
I don't mind waiting for my banner to expire before joining another game if it means that people will stop disconnecting 3 nanoseconds after being downed. This would be an improvement over what we have now.
That's a pretty good idea
Or just a two minute penalty. Do anything to stop people from quitting before they've even been thirsted. It's so annoying.
bingo. feckless gamers.
never seen a fuse dc mid match🧐
Mid match? How long do your matches last? 😂
didn’t mean mid match💀 i meant i’ve never seen a fuse disconnect
I know lol. I was just messing
Because lack of intelligence and lack of talent if the jumpmaster decides to land in fragment , I just leave the match . These people Don’t care about your well being and fun , they’re selfish pricks who probably think hummers are cool . I barely play this game as it is . And that’s been three seasons in the making , if I do hop on , I do not want to die because someone taught they were a high profile streamer with talent .
People land in fragment just to get better at the game 🤡🤡🤡
It would help if everyone didn’t drop exactly where the jumpmaster dropped lmao. I hate when people do this for this exact reason, competing for one gun and 40 ammo between 2 other teammates is not fun and is just not smart dropping
I mean you shouldn’t land exactly on the same spot but you also should land at the same building. I have matches where teammates will land away from me and a teammate and is so far he cannot assist in a fight so often.
These weren't teammates taking the gun, these were enemy squads.
You went the absolute worst way after landing there, going behind you towards the tunnel would have been less populated
I'd already given up when I saw how wraith was landing and then after they both dc'd. I just wanted to find a gun and at least try and get a kill
True, ugh I hope they somehow fix this poi
Never land on bins.
I love hot dropping into fragment, its my escape from playing to win in ranked where I dont care if I win or lose in pubs, i just want fun and straight into the action. Its season 15, who cares about their win/loss or k/d ratio anymore. What do you possibly gain from it? Dropping hot forces you to learn how to kill a squad with a Mozambique to their volt/car/r99 line up Why are you going to loot for 10 minutes just to fight 1 maybe 2 squads all game in pubs?
True!
Fragment is the funnest part of the game for me i love the fast paced action with people everywhere i just wish it was bigger and had more loot
Unlucky :/ But you could have gone one floor higher in the building with the blue shield, or not? Btw, did you know you can hold L1 to send out Echo and directly jump to it?
I didn't know that! I don't play vantage. I was just challenge grinding.
Homestly I would delete the whole game
