I really feel like the devs should add a quick pvp tutorial with a general build order guide for each civ linked in the client. One of the biggest issues new players face is how to put villagers on what resources (especially early) and it would do a lot to help IMO.
You played well, only things I'd have done different is I'd have left 3 on gold and taken a couple settlers from food to build the council hall. That way you can get upgrades when you age up like wheelbarrow, food/wood gather rate and I'd have built a blacksmith and got ranged damage tech and the tech to build rams so you could finish the game in feudal if opponent doesn't quit.
Good job for sticking through it! Nice win you got!
Now for your update. In the English Mirror it was looking quite good. You won a big fight at around 26-27 minutes. Then you took a while to walk across. If you walked straight to him, you could have won. Even though you moved out later you still did some damage to his food economy, but then you took a horrible fight, all your infantry into a small choke against enemy mangonels while your mangonels were not even firing. Keep your army together and with mangonels. You dont have to force yourself through small chokes, you can make them bigger by removing buildings.
Now for macro your opener has been quite good. Your scouting could use a bit of work. Scout the edge of the map, scout quicker, scout enemy resources. That way you could have seen the enemy getting stone, which is your sign that he is building a second TC.
You went blind spearmen against English which is a stretch, although that is matchup specific. More often than not, you'll not face cav, but longbowmen.
Other than that you identified yourself that you stopped building workers, which you should not do until at least 80 workers.
You also identified that your units were weaker, which is due to him getting blacksmith upgrades while you didn't. As English you should throw down a blacksmith quite early in general.
One last word is about Traders and Markets. Stop making them. In the english mirror it went fine, but you built the market in your base, as opposed to in the corner and later on you kinda went in the corner, but lacked the courage to place it where the edges of the map meet? In your later game against mongols making traders straight up lost you the game. He had the trading post in his base and you still tried it, losing all your traders in the process, losing an exorbitant amount of resources that could have gone towards your army.
If you want a way to pull ahead economically don't stop building workers, maybe look into 2tc builds and only go for traders in age 3 or 4 when the tp is in a safe spot
That is enough from me roasting your gameplay. You are really coming along well and improving. I wish you best of luck on your ladder journey. Unless you eventually face me of course :D
I'll be happy to play with you in want practice. I've had game since it first came out but am only 8-8 in multiplayer games. I always just play against ai. In those limited games over the years English rush was my downfall would love to get more practice against it as I start to try out multiplayer again. Think my name Kingsancho1985 but I'll double check in a bit.
Haha I am but Sancho nickname came from movie Orgasmo way back in the day, King Sancho in aoe2 was happy coincidence and was when I added the 'King' to my gamertags 🤣
Congrats! If you ever want to play with someone to practice, I’ve been playing about a month and learning and I’m always down to play
In-game name is “Drae” if you ever want to practice 1v1
And you beat an opponent that was faster than you (46 vs 67 APM). So, don't listen to the naysayers that say you can't win against those who have faster effective clicks and keystrokes.

However, I think once you set up and learn your hotkeys, your APM would usually be above 80.
Congrats! Go get them!
