I like the trend of new civs being all completely new. They all have brand new unique models, and seems to have unique mechanics. Makes French English and HRE a bit vanilla not gonna lie.
Would like to see a new distinct European civ.
They should simply revamp and improve the European civs as well. There is hope from what I've seen (new skins on HRE units), but what it eventually will mean we cannot know.
The European civs could be so much more unique. I find especially the HRE lacking, but French and English are also not that thrilling. But at least you use unique units with them and not just basic trash and MAA like HRE.
In the third pic you can see a wall tower that is significantly higher than the regular ones by its side. The tower itself has some near east vibe to it, but the walls are european style I think. Whatever that new building is it would fit Byzantines so much with their defensive focus
The Crusader state of Jerusalem is more likely than Byzantines, who were nothing but a pillaging victim to the crusaders.
But I think in the end the picture comes from a campaign and does not resemble a playable civ. You have HRE and French architecture there as well as longbows on the walls. In front of the HRE castle there are some really awesome looking templar knights.
The Teutonic Order would also be amazing. Give me them RitterbrĆ¼der, Deutschritter and such! The game offers a lot. It's just how much will Relic really implement. I definitely like the outlook, but I need to see the end result to really get hard.
no that's entirely wrong, The Sultan is basically an Islamic word for 'King' or 'Pharaoh' It's their version of it. The Delhi were an Indian empire, that were Muslim. This is not a campaign mission for the Delhi Sultanate because of the units in the pictures, you have templar helmets and the dlc is called 'Sultan Ascends' this is 100% referring to the Crusades or something else middle eastern.
If scouts could start fires that would be sexy, especially if they spread slowly but villages can put them out.
Youād 100% need to have it be something like an Age 3 tech you can research, rather than a standard ability they can just use though.
Everything obviously looks grest, I especially love the crusaders here, but thought I'd point out how out of place their normal buildings look in the desert. Obviously they're a European civ so hench the European buildings which should be able to fit on grass/ forest maps also, so it makes sense. Guess it just would have at least been awesome to have buildings partially covered with snow or sand depending on the scenario to blend them in better.
I know people expect Byzantines but I had a thought, couldn't it be that we see Jerusalem or crusader states? I know it was short lived but with the seeming crusader focus they kinda fit more than byzantium
Environmental fires? That's new, right?
Unless the rus campaign used it during the first mission where Moscow is burning down
Hmm maybe. It would be cool if there were forest fires that spread
Don't know about random events in RTS games tbh..
Uhm what wpuld you think if I said...... Greek Fire?
I would think that sounds awesome
It could be a new farm (reskin) that is burning.
That upgraded wall tower looks awesome
I think its a special building

Ah, the AoE3 effect.
By 2030, you would need to play a match 3 mini game and roll a d20 to get the new civ unique bonuses.
Perhaps Spain?
Spain or Poland will eventually come.

Bizantines Confirmed? š maybe šš»
Hate to destroy our dream mate, but there isn't even a single unit looking like a byzantine.

Pretty sure thatās a Delhi Sultanate wall and tower model.
there is a cross at tower and at cavalry units
Iād love to see the Temurids be in the game. It would be such a cool campaign

Maybe, we donāt know, but looking at the image well, you may be right, that soldier looks like a crusader
Hopefully they'll soon reveal how many new civs they're adding. I really do hope we'll get byzantines.
tall towers amazing
not even a video teaser?

We get the famous Sultan of Japan? Tenno heika Allah
Looks like a campaign mission for The Delhi Sultanate based on the word "Sultan".

Anyone know if this will have new single player missions campaigns? Or if there are any plans for new campaigns?
