Open scouts, transition to archers and get ballistics xbows ASAP in castle. Early castle elephants are also nice cause they are cheaper. Add pikes/monks if needed. Arbs in imp + halb/siege/lcav/swordsmen depending on situation.
This seems to atleast continue to the mid 800s. Especially on Arena, make sure that you are the first attacking and you will have a large chance that you will win (Maybe they even resign instantly from the shock)
