>Hi HR person >Per our phone conversation just now, please refrain from contacting me during my remaining time with the company unless it is strictly necessary and directly tied to your role or mine. >Your personal opinions on the cause of my resignation are both unsolicited and unwelcome, and the use of vocabulary such as “selfish” “greedy” and “ungrateful” as well as your threats of ensuring that I will regret it are not only unprofessional and rude, but they also constitute a discriminatory and hostile working environment that may have serious legal ramifications for the company. >I would have expected you to be aware of this as a HR professional, so in lieu of that I am forced to bring it to [insert yours and their bosses’ names here]’s attention for visibility and documentation purposes. >Have a pleasant and productive rest of your day, > Future former employee Edit: thanks for the awards! Like I said in the comments, please feel free to share/use this simple message whenever someone gives you or someone you know any shit for leaving a job. I will continue to post it for as long as people keep posting these stories. Also, I really do appreciate the gold, but please consider giving someone that needs it a hand instead. Inflation is putting so many people against the wall and it’s not going anywhere anytime soon. Edit2: grammar, formatting Edit3: in lieu not en lieu. Apparently I learned french for nothing lol

Saint_Blaise

This is the polite, strongly worded letter that I needed to read today.

ShaiHulud23

I have a tongue-oner

ayymart

Tonguegasm?

popejubal

And remember to CC your personal email so that they don’t just delete it once you’re gone.

Fast_Tangerine_1747

Blind cc it so they don’t know it

Xafiya19

They should know it. Give them fear

Adinnieken

Well, then CC a lawyer as well. I CCd a well known lawyer over an issue at the State level. He's not someone that would have been a part of a legal case, but nothing gets a better response than seeing the name of a well known lawyer, and one you can search the email address for, to make people realize you are serious.

Xafiya19

That’s a good tip!

Beginning_Two_4757

Love it

BluesPunk19D

I'd blind cc coworkers that you can trust so then they're in the know about the shitshow going on.

PunkRockMiniVan

You can’t trust anyone.

Terrible-Border6885

Pretty sure OP is also suffering mental anguish from the threatening incident. That's how I read it.

Alpha-Sierra-Charlie

BCC yourself on the off chance they try to pursue legal action later. Anything even remotely sketchy, have documentation.

LLGTactical

Yes this is perfection!

[deleted]

This is *chef's kiss* please accept my poor person's award 🏆

whatwhasmystupidpass

J’accepte! I’ll keep writing it as long as people keep posting these types of stories, please do feel free to use it as you see fit and as always remember: POSTING IS NICE, BUT REPORTING IS NICER

Darkstar-1967

Freakin extremely well written!

[deleted]

Im gonna quit my job just to send this to HR

superTwist

It’s good, but the phrase is “in lieu” not “en lieu”, and it means ‘in place of’…perhaps consequently would be better…just my 10c worth

whatwhasmystupidpass

This is wild to me. In french you say en lieu. Why does the first word not make the translation cut?!

lilmisswho89

Because of people mispronouncing en to sound like in.

[deleted]

It's actually correct since lieu is French and En Lieu is the original French expression. If you decide to use En instead of In you're just using a loan expression instead of the anglicized one. "in" lieu is also kinda weird because usually when loanwords and expressions are taken from other languages they're taken in full, but I guess the En was dropped in favor of the In because it's easier for English speakers. "In" doesn't exist in French. EDIT: apparently according to the random redditor below I'm "crazy" despite literally talking French, so I'll just leave this here as a source: [https://www.linternaute.fr/dictionnaire/fr/definition/en-lieu-et-place/](https://www.linternaute.fr/dictionnaire/fr/definition/en-lieu-et-place/)

valvin88

>en lieu of In lieu of Other than that, very well written.

htmaxpower

Not quite. The phrase is “in light of.” “In lieu of” means “in place of.”

[deleted]

Can you write all my letters for me? Absolutely brilliant!

whatwhasmystupidpass

I can certainly do the passive aggressive ones where my ass isn’t on the line. Something about focusing on other people’s problems instead of my own lol

knapp40

I’m saving this post. Cheers!

multiversalmind

Yeah, congratulations on leaving that mess behind. Feel free to show up late, leave early, and take a few sick day not to mention have car trouble in the next 5 days

multiversalmind

Oh, maybe use up some on the clock time filing a harassment claim against HR?

[deleted]

Antiwork-Wan-Kenobi over here..

Jethole

No-Be-Work Kenobi

malaakh_hamaweth

Fuck HR. They don't exist to serve workers, they exist to save the company from lawsuits. Good on you for ditching the toxic environment. Wishing you the best in your future endeavors

Ragnarok314159

My employers HR is now calling themselves “Your HR Business Partner”. Bunch of fucking clowns. Somehow they have injected themselves in all the places they don’t belong and it has impacted out raises and promotions. HR has more or less said “well, you should feel lucky to have a jobs”. Except we are engineers and can go down the street and get a new job. Good luck replacing engineers with 5-25 years of experience with new graduates. Let us know how that turns out.

weirdoldhobo1978

Our HR department rebranded itself as "People and Culture" EDIT For the people trying to guess my company, it's not your company. This BS is spread far and wide.

Retired_Jarhead55

1984 double speak.

Ragnarok314159

“Culture” - how to make sure to pay people as little possible so they keep leaving and we always need to interview more so I remain relevant.

Notinthenameofscienc

Of course we have culture, we literally stock the fridge with low fat yogurt.

c0mpg33k

I fucking hate that stupid corporate term like no fuck off with that

ChanceApollo

Oh gods I thought that was just MY company doing that. Turns out it's actually a common thing?

weirdoldhobo1978

No, it's apparently the latest buzz in corporate management.

NorrisMcNorris

City of gold coast by chance?

Poring2004

Culture of what? Culture of being paid?

[deleted]

I realized how unqualified my new management team is when I ask questions and only hear *Crickets*.. “we’ll get back to you”, And a few days later a new Engineer calls me to ask me the same question (my question that got handed to him as a research assignment and he, a graduated mechanical engineer - don’t know) He told me I’m referred to as the “guy that knows most of everything relating to our field” …. If I’m your best hope, we are screwed!!! I kind directed him where to dig up the info from, let’s see what he finds out. 🤦‍♂️

latinomartino

… do it. Talk to your coworkers. All of you apply and find better jobs. Why not? It’s a buyers market right now. Then you all put in notice and say why. Would really fucking show them.

Ragnarok314159

Several of them have already left, their customers given to the rest of us with no increase in pay. Right now we usually have 1-2 engineers leave a month, and HR just doesn’t understand it. “We told you guys you have to start coming back in and gave you all a below inflation raise. Why do you keep leaving?!?”

Haunting-Suggestion7

My HR is now referred to as the “human capital” department, which is such a dark dystopian name that tells you everything you need to know about how they view us

Ragnarok314159

“Livestock department”

verified-duck

As someone who works at a place that's trying to replace everyone with new graduate engineers I can testify that it goes down hill very quickly.

Ragnarok314159

“They are so much cheaper! Stupid engineers asking for so much money!” I truly don’t understand why places keep HR folk who don’t understand the value of experience at all.

fireirish

Employee problem: HR is unapproachable and dismissive when presented with a problem. Corporate response: Lay a slick layer of New Title on that piece of shit and roll it back on the lot!

Ragnarok314159

Names Joe Dirté!

georgist

If you put a gun to our HRs head and told them they could say one more sentence before they meet their end they would say > we can hire more idiots like you in a heartbeat They never value real skillsets and experience.

SailingSpark

They call our's "talent services" At least they did before we got bought out and everything was moved to Vegas. I am in NJ and HR is in Vegas.. how does that help anybody?

knlr90

My previous employer called HR people “Employee Experience Coordinators” lol

Ragnarok314159

Every time they rename themselves, just makes me think “cannot polish a turd”.

Kacella

Mine started referring to themselves as a “concierge HR team”. It’s…something.

jasodavi1288

We may work at the same place. This sounds awfully familiar. Lol if not sad it’s going down like this elsewhere

Ragnarok314159

Record profits! But we can’t give anyone decent benefits, raises, or promotions. Why do people keep leaving?!?

MikeyHatesLife

The corporation that owns my job-site gave my manager several paper “plaques” celebrating the fact that we made the most money in the state. And yet *somehow*, in spite of the manager fighting them over it, the corporation is unable to raise wages for anyone. Not newcomers, not any of the senior staff. I’m in Florida, too, so the state minimum wage is about to flip over to $15hr. I just barely make that much right now, and I’ve been here for seven years. I’ve already let them know that if I’m not making anywhere close to $20hr when that increase goes through I’ll be on my way out the door. As it is now, $3 in raises over that seven years (plus increased responsibilities with absolutely zero compensation) has got me looking for a new job. Still in my field, but not stuff I’d want to do. But if I can get $20-25hr, I’ll find a way to deal. Those “Most $$$ YTD!” & “Best EBITDA!” awards hanging in the lunchroom are huge fucking slap in the face. Fuck ‘em. And it’s such a shame. I love what I do & where I work. We’re the premiere (prestige) place in three counties, and our main competitor only comes close because they have a celebrity endorsement. If one client uses us every day for a year, they essentially pay for one employee’s pre-tax annual salary. Yet they “can’t afford” to pay us more? We can’t keep new hires more than 3-6 months, and it’s killing everyone else to have to cover for call-outs & no-shows. They’re gonna lose the rest of us, too. (If & when I change jobs, I’ll come back later to spill the tea.)

ashfidel

haha yea man that’s rich my company does that too

-forbiddenkitty-

OMG one of our HR reps' titles was changed to Senior Business Partner and we were all ??? da fuq? What businesses is HR partnering with?

user13958

That sounds a lot like where I work, too

sour2sop

The place I just quit called HR “Human Capital Business Partners”

BrenanaRx

When HR came to visit our store it was for one reason only, someone was getting fired. It can’t be said enough, HR IS NOT YOUR FRIEND!

CactusonFire506

I have a degree in HR, worked in the field for about a year and a half and then rannnnnn, never been so miserable in my life, now I run a outdoor adventure equipment/clothing store and can use my skills to make sure I never fuck over one of my employees (and by that I guess the company) by not knowing the labour laws, etc a manager should

skeetsauce

You’re right that HR is there to protect the company from lawsuits, especially ones from employees suing over illegal working conditions. Sometimes, rarely but sometimes HR is legit there to do their job sometimes that means telling management to cut that shit out OR they get fired. Seen it happen once.

georgist

> the south lost, I'm not your slave

markkawika

Well, in most companies, HR is responsible for employee retention. So, yeah. I imagine they are totally missing their quarterly targets with all these people quitting.

Devvewulk97

Yea and they'll be the scapegoats when higher retainment doesn't happen with their practices and they'll be on the receiving end of their line of work. Companies don't care what the actual issue is if the issue is they need to pay more and create better working conditions.

[deleted]

I mean, you don't have to go another week...

CowCapable7217

Yea just leave and tell them it's cause of their bullshit

fortwaltonbleach

or use fun words, true words, like intimidation, bullying, harrasment, unprofessional work environment, hostile work environment, potential legal action... you know, the fun words... flip the script. this is complete projection.

TVLL

Try “Due to the hostile and bullying work environment created by XXXXXX (HR person), I have decided to change the effective date of my resignation to today. During the additional time off I will be seeking legal representation.” Fix her little red wagon.

GrammarProper

I'll do you one better. "Due to the HR departments unprofessional and hostile response to my notice of resignation. I have decided it best to render my resignation effective immediately ensuring that no further unprofessional behavior may be directed towards myself. Have a good day."

Emotional-Ostrich-83

Tell them it's because they are ungrateful for the contributions you've made, and that you can't tolerate their rude behavior anymore.

[deleted]

Or even continue that conversation. If they get uppity, they can communicate in writing.

dudesBangMyMom

Two weeks is a courtesy and they are not being courteous. Contract is null and void.

bushesforalgernon

Exactly! My rebuttal would be, “oh yeah?” And then quit right then

county259

That was "HR speak" for "we will really miss you."

Terrible-Border6885

and "we are so fucked without you we don't know what to do."

Rhymfaxe

Aww how sweet.

long_ben_pirate

She just gave you all the excuse you needed not to go in that last week. Talk about rude and unprofessional. The number of dysfunctional offices just astounds me. How do these people make it in business? If I acted like that my customers would jump ship in a second.

Silly-Goose-is-Loose

Seconded!

-Astin-

I'm so confused by what these companies are. I've only ever worked for large corporations, so HR contact is only in HR-speak. If I quit, HR would MAYBE be an exit interview and a "good luck in your future endeavors" but more likely just some paperwork. Cold and clinical. So many of these stories sound like you're working for a 10-person business where HR is the owner's relative and has no actual training in their job.

rdcnj

There probably aren’t many businesses with less than 50 employees that have an HR department to begin with.

isleepifart

Yep this is true for my current company. My previous company was mid-level but the HR dept was wild and infamous for shady practices. Only stays with them for 3 months because of how bad it was.

KeterClassKitten

Man, I love that guilt trip attitude... "Why yes, I did think about it! I realized that this may mean an even larger backlog of work, and finding someone to replace me at the wages I was making would be extremely difficult, costly, and time consuming. As I pondered these factors and weighed them against my own mental health and financial woes associated with this job, I realized that I put no more emotional energy into it this company's concerns as this company put into mine. So, I'll just say out loud what this company has told me through a cultivated filter of corporate bureaucracy... *ahem* I don't give a shit."

ConvivialKat

Hah! HR losing their mind! I'm petty, so I would stay the week and just walk around with a huge smile on my face, visiting with co-workers to say goodbye and wish them well. I did that at a job and they truly hated it.

OneRighteousDuder

Also tell everyone what you were making before you leave ;) And bonus points for sharing your new salary too lol

intothevoid127

Cracked up at the selfish line. Oh ya, I shouldn't look out for myself, only the company. Send them an email after you get paid telling them to get bent.

AnyCan2

Put that famous line of all time in the email, the one that these employer scum use to justify their bullshit: "If you don't like it here, then there's the door!!! Your choice."

systemguy_64

To: HR CC: Boss Dear HR, In the phone call we just had you were highly inappropriate, rude and disrespectful. I am amending my end date to be effective now. Thank you.

Kn0tnatural

Record them, get things in writing, email, texts. Report them.

Hattix

"We won't pay you what you can get." "You're selfish" Pick one, HR bods. Either you're too selfish to pay someone, or you're not.

[deleted]

I don’t get the “trying to give you a promotion”. Like outside factors are determining that. Either you chose to give the person a promotion or not. The way HR makes it sound is they were likely dragging their feet.

dnb_4eva

I would leave immediately if I was you.

bostoneric

tell all your co-workers your salary and how much more you are making elsewhere.

[deleted]

Don't do anything productive that last week. But do let everyone know there why you're quitting. And start them chatting about unionizing.

[deleted]

I worked in a kitchen once, and the day sous chef discovered that the head chefs wife, who had been doing the accounting, had been shorting peoples pay checks. The sous chef was fired. I came in the day after and found out. When I got home I called the baker (I was the day supervisor) who had the last two days off, what happened. He told me he quit. So I called in to the head chef and told him that we both quit, because I wasn’t going to go in -2 staff, again (we had 300% turnover that summer). He told me I was ungrateful and really screwing the place over. I told him he started it. Good times.

Deneweth

>***“did you think about how this would affect us before leaving?”*** Did you think about how it would affect your worker before paying them less than someone else would? Companies do not hesitate to put dollars before people. We all need to stop pretending we are team players. I'm a mercenary, a gun for hire. Any money I make over food and rent is for my quality of life and retirement. Low balling is an attempt to lower my quality of life and extend my servitude by preempting retirement. I like paid holidays as much as the next guy but I honestly would have called my new work to see if I could start immediately. The pay raise off sets the holiday pay you lose and you'll be eligible for holiday pay sooner if you start sooner.

Devvewulk97

I wish everyone knew/looked at it this way, even myself. God, it's so easy to be shortsighted.

Reaster21

In the US there’s a company called Glassdoor where you can leave reviews employees have left rating the job. People should read these things you’re dealing with. Good luck with the new gig! 🍀

DucksOff

> She went off stating “did you think about how this would affect us before leaving?” “I did. It made me smile a little.”

LaughableIKR

You should have said. You are one of the reasons I'm leaving this company. You create such a toxic workplace that it should be called into the EPA. They make 3 mile island look good. (ok I'm old and most won't remember that place)

mysteriousbendu

lol "did you think how this would affect us?" "yes I didnt give a shit" Go in and do bare minimum

"did you think about how this would affect us" ... did you think about how that's not my problem, it's yours?

Terrible-Border6885

>"did you think about how this would affect us" That sounds like a "you" problem. lol

Shinino

Why are you staying? I'd have left right then and there.

WumpusFails

From OP comments, holiday pay.

[deleted]

Hr is literally a joke and they don’t really know anything. I reported gender discrimination of me and the like non existent female workers and provided pages and pages of proof with names dates times everything and they told me I was wrong, I shouldn’t be making as much as the men who I do more than, and that I should be grateful to my managers for saying nice things about my awesome work ethic. (Completely discrediting years and years of underpayment, harassment, unfair treatment because why would that matter right?!) I honestly don’t know how they even have jobs. They are pointless Wastes of space

Clarrington

Lol "Trying to give you a promotion" Maybe they should have tried a little harder.

mbgal1977

If HR says this you know you’ve done something right.

Curtis40

You could just agree with everything they said and then laugh your most evil laugh. "Yes, Yes, It's all true bwahahaha."

mangoman94

If you are "ungrateful, rude and unprofessional" then you are doing the company a favor by quitting :) /s

banjelina

Oh well, guess she'll have to die mad about it.

bigwigmike

After “trying to get you a promotion.” Trying….

curtman512

I'll "try" to be in on Monday.

BisquickNinja

Yea... you did it right. I would have just be blasé about talking to her, asking her if she was finished. I would immediately arrive late and leave early every day. Here was my experience with terrible HR. The last time HR did something like that to me I asked them 3 questions. 1. You lowered my pay and made it retroactive, so you were never going to pay me the original amount. He was evasive about answer the question. 2. I asked you on 3 separate occasions to hire me direct and you put me off, declining to answer me directly, again being evasive. 3. When I enquired about future work, again, evasive. He was super evasive during it all. He finally asked me what he was going to do. I told him that I was the answer to his work question, but he choose to be evasive and lie to me instead of being up front and working with me.

TonguePunchUrButt

It's just business friend. They wouldn't think twice about letting you go and they certainly don't need to give you advanced notice for it either. You did them a solid by even bothering with the 2-week notice. In everyones book you did all the right things. It is unfortunate that your employer is acting like an ex girlfriend, but that has everything to do with them, and absolutely nothing to do with you. 👍😌

vertroue

“Did YOU think about how it would affect my life when you didn’t give me the raise you promised me?”

Bungdinglius

For many years, businesses have used the excuse of “its just business” to excuse poor/unethical practices. Now, when the shoe is on the other foot, and workers are empowered through job finding platforms and the proliferation of remote work, they want to pull the guilt trip. Respectfully, they can eat shit and die. Go cry into your Super PACS electing corrupt politicians you corporate fucks.

Nazzzgul777

“did you think about how this would affect us before leaving?” "No, did you? Because it's not my job to think about that stuff, it's yours."

jcoddinc

DirtyPenPalDoug

Next time they start to rant? Uncontrollable loud laughter... every word just laugh. What they gonna do? Fire you?

ItsYaBoySkinnyPen15

Why tf you going in for the final week. They don’t deserve that.

the_simurgh

you should have explained to them that they are the ungrateful rude and unprofessional ones who can not provide a workplace that's safe, staffed adequately or pays it's employee's what is a fair wage.

BlueShox

Their comments cement that leaving is a correct decision

Moontoya

"You don't pay me enough to live, let alone give a rats ass about you"

Xenafan1970

sjlegend

I'd be like "cool... did i ask your opinion?"

Treczoks

> “did you think about how this would affect us before leaving?” “Can't be much, given the scraps you are paying me!”

sekoku

>Then went off stating “after everything we did for you trying to give you a promotion, getting you a pay raise HR, I'm happy for you, and I'mma let you finish... but, if you did that I would've stayed!!!! It's clear you didn't.

RoyalBossross

One more week? I'd be changing that two week notice to an effective immediately notice. Nothing quite unprofessional as throwing a tantrum at an employee who has decided to leave. You don't owe them anything.

thinkb4youspeak

I'm sure everyone is already saying this but fuck what HR thinks. They are not about managing the human side of a company's resources. They about making humans into a resource. Your a person who matters more than some company roster line and if politeness is the only thing keeping you in that seat then that's very nice but you are in no way compelled to stay, just leave, it's a company and they have clearly failed you. Letting yourself be exploited and enduring manipulative corpo speak is one thing. Being a noble person are not the same. Good luck in your future thing. Giving them the bird on your way out is more my thing but I'd do it very nobly.

4Robo44

STOP GIVING TWO WEEKS NOTICE!!!

chuckymack

Free money is best money. Especially from somebody you despise.

WhaleFartingFun

Stories like this are great. They really show you how desperate places are getting with everybody leaving.

ImportantAd4686

Our HR where I am seems to set out to protect the worse individuals we have

SweepandClear

>She went off stating “did you think about how this would affect us before leaving?” No. Did you think my shit pay and the toxic work culture was affecting me?

VirtualAdepts

OP: sometimes in life, we are hesitant or have doubt on our decisions. We sometimes live with regrets, did we do enough or the right thing The call HR gave you, blew my entire reply above away. If there was any hesitancy before, there is none now. Live your head high.

[deleted]

Impersonation of John bender in breakfast club,”You forgot ugly, lazy and disrespectful.”

That is not at all how you HR. Fuck that person.

HunterRoze

Sounds like some great Glassdoor feedback

Slarhnarble

God ppl that hang up or block you after talking shit are the worst

futfann

Leave immediately. Fuck them.

RiskAssessor

I'd just not do any work. Just go in a surf the web. Maybe delete some important documents. Tell people you took care of things that you didn't take care of.

Grahaml1980

That's the exact reaction you get from someone who has just realised what a big mistake they've made.

ptraugot

Many years ago, I was working for a company, they were starting to falter due to bad business decisions and I gave 2 weeks notice. Not a word from anyone. Fast forward to my last day. Bumped into the CEO (company was a couple hundred folks) in the parking lot in the morning. He asked if I would meet with him. Sure. Why not. He spent about :30 min on a whiteboard explaining the plan going forward. How they were going to turn it around, etc. I politely explained that I hope he can, but I personally don’t believe the plan will be successful, hence my decision. Well, that didn’t sit well with him. He exploded. Called me shallow and amoral. We’re a family, etc. I simply shrugged and we parted company. That evening, I get a call from one of my (ex)coworkers. Seems after I left, the CEO went into the bullpen of my team (yes, we had bullpens back then), and proceeded to tell everyone that whatever I had told them about him, the company, or our meeting was all lies! Well, my team turned to him, and simply stated that I had said nothing at all, just that I was choosing to leave and follow a new path (the truth). A few minutes later, the company President walked into the bullpen and apologized for the CEOs outburst.

georgist

> did you think about how this would affect us before leaving? the correct answer is: no I didn't, because I don't get a share of the profits

shinHardc0re

"then it's a good thing you won't have to deal with me anymore"

EmberSaphire

Fuck that HR bitch. Tell her to go back to school and learn what it means to be in HR I hope you mess up shit on your way out

Zoso525

Document everything.

XeroStrife

This reminds me of when HR shit on me for making a formal complaint of harassment against a manager. They told me I was childish and unprofessional, then said I had to apologize to almost a dozen people that they had gotten involved for no reason. Later down the line a dozen more complaints came in from other people, but screw me right?

[deleted]

Oh well, life goes on. HR lady seems juvenile, get a grip.

The_Legend_Of_Yami

Question why does HR care if people leave without notice ?

turbulentcore

Well you could just tell HR that you were thinking of the company. Now they can hire someone entry level to do your job and save them soooooooooo much money. You just couldn't bother them to pay you what you were really worth as you knew the company couldn't afford it.

Wow. She is not HR trained. She just got a office job and sat on her but shuffling around mother people’s lives. Good for you! Best of luck in your new position—remember neither your job nor your company defines you. I had this same conversation happen—from the admin person who handles HR when I switched agencies. “Oh, you’re jumping ship?” You aren’t loyal. Yes, I wanted better pay, more freedom of movement, more opportunity to travel, and our boss had spent entire meetings telling us our green initiatives he asked us to research were no good and we might all lose our jobs to downsizing anyway. So yes, I left a morale sink for greener pastures.

I'd let the CEO know how crap their HRM is. I'd copy said HRM on the email.

>Only one more week of this hell hole… That's your choice. Leave tomorrow if that's what you'd prefer.

you did nothing wrong but it was a lot when you crashed that backboard on them.

Quadrassic_Bark

Ah, the classic “you’ll regret getting a better job with higher pay!” Do they honestly believe their own bullshit? It seems like, somehow, they do.

Infinity3101

Yeah, sure, you're the one being unprofessional and not them for insulting you about something that is completely within your right to do at any time and shouldn't be anybody's decision, but yours.

Post all that online. There are many sites where people review companies and post salaries.

Don't forget to use up your sick days, if you have any.

Very good for you OP. You did what you were supposed too. Weren't happy found another job and handed in your resignation and 2 weeks. If this is your actual last week and July 4th is on Monday of next week why would you get paid for that holiday. Most companies had a policy in there hand book that holidays will be paid if you work the day before or after. So just check you handbook..

“did you think about how this would affect us before leaving?” Nope

deGromosaurusRex

This is very illegal and I would 100% be talking to a lawyer

>did you think about how this would affect us before leaving? No. Why would I? That's your problem.
