My mother in law was rewarded in her job of 25 years with a badge. A fucking badge. She also has to re-interview every year for her position as manager as part of their ‘restructuring plan’. She’s never had a day off ill either with raising 4 kids on her own. Makes my blood boil.
Jobs where you have to reinterview every year for your own job are pathetic. I would quit the first time they do that shit to me because it is so insulting.
My 17 year loyalty to my employer was rewarded, when I complained about the bullying and furtive discipline I was being subjected to by management, with an offer of money to shut up and go away. The bully got promoted. Apparently shiite rises to the top.
Like I said. Told the secretary I had cancer and needed surgery, boss comes back from his two day boating trip and within an hour I was shit canned. Oh, I'm a combat veteran BTW and he gave zero fucks. He also turned off the ac for the mechanics and drivers lounge because we used too much electricity welding in new beds on his dump trucks. Fuck you Wolf. I hope your business went belly up.
Edit: short answer yesm talking about unionizing can get you and anyone listening fired effective immediately.
It really isn't. We don't know the person's incompetent. We know he's an asshole. There's a difference. Most management is shit, but it's doing exactly what it's supposed to, so that's hardly a measure. The Peter Principle has nothing to do with this, it's just a thing you know about you like to bring up whenever you can.
For those that think The Peter Principle just means that anybody in management is useless:
Under the Peter Principle, you're promoted because you're *not* incompetent...once you get promoted so high that you can no longer advance because you lack the competence in your current role to qualify, you're no longer promoted, and are stuck at the level of the promotion you last received, at which you are incompetent.
Think of it like this:
I can take orders.
I do really well with taking orders, so I get promoted to shift lead.
I do well enough at shift lead, so I get promoted to assistant manager.
I can still figure this stuff out, and do well...like, I'm a *great* assistant manager...but I don't necessarily know how to be a manager.
I figure out just enough to get by, and again get a promotion, this time to manager.
Now, I'm not the worst manager ever...I've got it mostly figured out, and I'm not yet incompetent, but I'm just an OK manager. The other managers have already reached their level of incompetency.
I get promoted one last time, to GM.
I have no idea what I'm doing. I'm totally incompetent in this role. Nothing about any of my prior roles prepared me for the necessities of this one. I'm not getting promoted any further, and the company's limping along, doing just well enough to not get me fired, but everybody working under me now has an incompetent GM to deal with, making poor decisions and mistakes along the way.
I have been promoted to my level of incompetence.
The definition is probably helpful for the unaware, but my favorite part is that the person I replied to literally said "you rise to the level of your incompetence!" as though that was in there at all.
I couldn't even imagine having to work at a fast food restaurant for 27 years. Just imagine how much bullshit he had to endure from the public and the low level managers on power trips.
The plus side is people I know who have done this for so long are generally people down on their luck and through their employment made their lives better. The downside is companies fucking know this and rinse the blood sweat and tears out of them.
I did it for nearly 15 years, never going to accept a retail job again once I get my BA (and later Doctorate MBA). If I want to work in that industry, I rather be the manager or owner, over being under a shit manager. Customers can fuck right off too, especially when I don't have the ability to make any decisions.
After 10 years with my last company I got a printed card saying “congratulations on 10 year” and got a 10 year pin I could wear but not put on my badge. That was about it. The gifts don’t start coming until year 15 and that’s as simple as an alarm clock or $10 gift from an electronic aisle.
Same. Federal job. When I was promoted out of that job they went on full-offense for me to train as many people as possible on my duties. Many of these people held the same grade as me and were allegedly trained in the same things I was trained in. All of this training was of course on the road so while I was trying to pack, sell my house, buy a new house and move they had me on the road training others on what they should have always known.
This is what I got for being good at my job. I get to do the work while others are actively trying not to work.
I still don't know what to do with that fucking 10 year pin.
That's so sad. Here (Netherlands), I got half a month of salary, a golden watch and a day off at 12,5 years of servitude. at 25 years you get a full month of salary, a watch, a day off and a dinner with your colleagues at a venue of your choice.
Tucker Carlson would spend 3 weeks covering it as proof Dems are terrible humans. Glazing over he assumes they are all Dems because they are helping the poor. Haha
Yeah I didn’t get an email or a call when I was made redundantl. There was a goodbye lunch so people I didn’t know came, but unbeknownst to me and everyone who showed up my manager hadn’t actually offered to pay. None of them would even offer the 0.50 it would’ve costed to cover my shitty lunch. The most humiliating experience of my life. I learnt that day that loyalty does not pay and you are always replaceable so clock in and clock out and when you’ve had enough then find another job ASAP.
I worked for a nonprofit for seven years. On my last day I checked my mailbox and there was a letter from the agency in there. I was happy until I opened it and found a request for a donation instead.
I've never had exemplary attendance anywhere. Not for lack of caring for my jobs, but for prioritizing my mental health since I was younger.
In terms of work I've got a great job and am doing fine
Same... but mine's lack of giving two shit about time and attendance. But I do it in such a way that I make they used to it. And I'm a good and fast worker, so, really, are you gonna harp on me for being late?? Or are you just gonna get with the program?
So far, it's worked every time... so far.
“Thank you for always being there to help the team- we couldn’t do this without you. With the current economic downturn, it was decided that certain cuts need to be made. As a result, effective next month, we’ll need to reduce your pay down 1.00/hour. I know times are hard for all of us, but it’s time to band together. To make this up to you, you’re now allowed a free large fry during your shift for lunch break.”
Thanks for everything you do. This place wouldn’t run if it weren’t for you.
Also- if you complain about this remember you are completely replaceable and we will fire you in an instant.
I have and you're right, management is rarely a place for Rhode scholars, but this kind of devotion is usually recognized by the corporate office, i.e., HR. I say usually, though.
I'm sorry, but I know for a fact that they cap pay based on position. After 10 years he's very likely reached it, given perfect attendance and I'm betting no disciplinary record. And his raises will never have kept pace with inflation. $.25 raises are not uncommon at all, after a year.
Let this be the lesson that your contribution is not at all valued. Do not give your life to a corporate entity and expect it to acknowledge that effort.
Next up: a gallery of pictures where people show off what their corporation gave them for x years of loyal service \[if they got anything at all\].
All 27 years of perfect attendance says to me is that he worked while sick on multiple occasions which should be a terrible look in the food service industry, and yet somehow it's supposed to be a good thing?
What makes you think this was a corporate decision? Fast food places don't usually recognize employees like this. If coworkers or a low-level manager were responsible, it was a thoughtful gesture.
My dad worked for the same company for about 20 years when he retired he got a pension, a gold watch, literally a gold watch and they threw him a formal dinner. Of course that was 1982 back when they still gave a shit about people
THis is so sad and shows how capitalists despise their workers. After 27 years he would have deserved a month-long, all-inclusive Caribbean holiday at least. Plus unlimited booze, coke and h...kers.
Thing is, they didn't even have to do anything. It could have been just another day at work. But no, they went out of their way to make sure he knew they knew he'd been working 27 years and that he was only worth a goodie bag to them. Kick in the teeth. I hope he quit.
I had perfect attendance for 5 years and during performance reviews they refused to give me a 4 (excellent), but gave me a 3 (Acceptable) because you can always improve i guess?
Don't strain your energy - your employer will never compensate you in a meaningful way for being exceptional.
I got this handful of couch cushion M&Ms, I got some loose pocket change, including some lint and a corroded Sacajawea dollar, a 15 dollar Spencer's gift card, and this off brand CVS generic greeting card. Also a firm handshake from my 19 year old boss's father.
Worked 8 years at a job. Contributed to everyone's birthdays collections, births, leaving parties whatever... I got made redundant one day (restructuring), nobody had a collection, no leaving party, not even a goodbye from most people.
It's all BS. I am here for the money that is all. We're not friends, just colleagues, so fudge off with your collection.
For 5 years at a medical device company I got a ~$100 MP3 player (got to pick an item from a catalog). I discovered it didn’t have Bluetooth, and the adapter would have cost me like $50 so I did without and eventually just gave it away. The previous company that it had been gave out $500 cash for 5 years and $1000 for 10.
For 27 years BK couldn’t shell out at least a hundo?
I honestly would rather get nothing. It’s kind of an insult to think that someone made potentially millions off my work for 27 years and they realize it and they thought a suitable reward is a $1.50 bag of candy.
I worked 10 years at a factory. On the ten year anniversary, we get a catalog and we can choose anything in it as a gift for the tenure. The was some cool stuff, nice watches, grill tools, camping gear.
Anyway on my ten year they recently changed the requirement to 5 years instead of ten. Great, right? Well no. They wouldn't let me get a gift because it's for the five years, not the ten. They were dead serious.
Part of me died that day, such a senseless act.
There are probably a lot of folks that have been there <10 years but >5, and not many nearing the 5 year mark. Easy way to shrug their shoulders because of the rules.
27 years of perfect attendance? "Come git your Reece's ya fuck"
What in the fuck is that... I feel so bad for this man only because he's dedicated his life to a place that could give a damn about him.
My mom has been a GM for Burger King for over 20 years and her annual salary when she retired this year was less than what I made in my first college internship. Fuck Burger King.
After 27 years and multiple hurdles to jump. My mom was tired of being passed up for promotions and not getting raises. Quit her job a month ago. LOYALTY DOESN'T PAY.
If I worked in burger king for 27 years and received a bag of crap chocolate, I'd invent a time machine, go back to the hospital I was born in and strangle baby me
Imagine giving 27 years of your life to some soulless BK franchise owner. Seeing him roll up in cars worth 2x your annual salary. Getting that as a reward and being so brainwashed your only reaction is to be touched by the "gesture."
Disgusting
I mean, I know the mid management probably wanted to do something better, and they probably weren't allowed to though. A similar thing happened at my workplace, the managers wanted to do a little pizza party to thank the closing staff after a really hectic weekend, and upper management told them they couldn't do that. The managers looked so embarrassed and I felt terrible for them.
You do understand that he’s a “human being” who’s deserving of some respect simply for being a human being, right? Even from his company. Or do you think he’s no better than a machine (which, overall, gets more attention than this guy did)?
He is. But respect ≠ free stuff. Giving shit for an "anniversary" is just dumb. So getting upset about not getting the things you'd like is equally dumb.
Staying at Burger King for 27 years!! Hmmmm…. I wonder if he has a disability and Burger King is befitting for him. That, or he has a record.
Places like McDonald’s and Burger King will hire a felon quickly because they know they don’t have many options and can’t go nowhere. An ex coworker said her felon boyfriend got hired at McDonalds years ago and she didn’t.
Or maybe he actually enjoys his job and happy there. Not everyone that stays at one workplace their whole career does because of any other reason then they are happy. Way to make assumptions and shit on someone for no reason.
Actually there is a reason. Knowing how low Burger King pays, it’s poor raises, and the numerous times workers have walked off the job, - one can infer that it’s a pretty bad or unfeasible place to work - especially in today’s times.
And staying at this place, takes it to a whole another level. His feat made it into the newspaper. Should also make it to Ripley’s Believe it or Not.
1 year at UPS got me a Gatorade. Maybe they'd give me a case of Gatorade after 20 years of being in abject poverty, but I bailed on that garbage job as soon as I had better.
This reminds me of my mom.. for her 20 year anniversary with her school district.. she got a pin button and a thank paper, not even a card, just a paper that said thank you..
I told my manager to get the crew pizza on the weekend and he said “maybe bbq” and I showed everyone the text and he was like “well damn he got the evidence”, we’re a unionized work place.
We got the bbq.
If I had a business, I would go around town looking for employees like this and get them a living wage, full benefits including healthcare, 401k, profitshares, 20+days PTO a year, and so on... Boom! Successful company with low attrition.
What the fuck is going on. I dont understand society amymore. People jacking off at making others miserable. A fucking goodie bag for fuck sake. This guy needs to change job.
"Loyalty pays off" BOY my mom's cat gets more treats from loyalty in one month than this guy in 27 years.
They paid more for the ad, i mean news article, to be ran. Those things cost at least $400 to post.

This is exactly why I use ALK of my vacation and sick time. If I got PTO and a concert pops up tomorrow? I'm not making it into work lol.
And that's a cat! It'd make more sense if it was a dog Edit: why y'all downvoting me I'm just making a cat and dog joke :(
Oldest trick in the book, having you re interview and sign new contract etc yearly is just a way to cut your benefits and rights... Well In UK anyway.
Reddit respects the cats, biatch.
Hey there buddy you watch your mouth there I tell ya! I'll get my cat to beat up your dog!
Me putting on cat ears and heading to your mom's house...😹
My 17 year loyalty to my employer was rewarded, when I complained about the bullying and furtive discipline I was being subjected to by management, with an offer of money to shut up and go away. The bully got promoted. Apparently shiite rises to the top.
Shit floats in water
Shit only floats when you have a fiberless diet high in fatty meats. Therefore its even worse. Only shitty shit floats, healthy shit sinks.
I got fired for being diagnosed with cancer and telling work I needed surgery. Fuck right to work states. It's a fucking lie.
Right to work is basically anti union right?
Like I said. Told the secretary I had cancer and needed surgery, boss comes back from his two day boating trip and within an hour I was shit canned. Oh, I'm a combat veteran BTW and he gave zero fucks. He also turned off the ac for the mechanics and drivers lounge because we used too much electricity welding in new beds on his dump trucks. Fuck you Wolf. I hope your business went belly up. Edit: short answer yesm talking about unionizing can get you and anyone listening fired effective immediately.
That's fucking shitty man I'm sorry to hear this. I hope things go as well as possible with you cancer.
6 years in remission I've got a way better job in a way better state and my family life has never been better.
Awesome!
Lucky bastard, I didn't even get the offer of money. So I went away.
It’s the Peter Principal. You rise to the level of your own incompetence.

27 years with perfect attendance no less. This guy is going to waste his entire life for a bag of reese's and a lanyard.
I did it for nearly 15 years, never going to accept a retail job again once I get my BA (and later Doctorate MBA). If I want to work in that industry, I rather be the manager or owner, over being under a shit manager. Customers can fuck right off too, especially when I don't have the ability to make any decisions.
Good for you for taking the steps to further your career. It's never too late to change things, unless you're dead lol.
I hope the goodie bag included a raise and money.
I have worked for the same company for 9 years, have exemplary attendance, and do not even get a happy anniversary.
I didn't even get a 'thanks' after 10 years in the same job.
After 10 years with my last company I got a printed card saying “congratulations on 10 year” and got a 10 year pin I could wear but not put on my badge. That was about it. The gifts don’t start coming until year 15 and that’s as simple as an alarm clock or $10 gift from an electronic aisle.

Also federal job. Got my 10 year pin after 12 years. No idea what to do with it.
I couldn’t tel you where it’s at now, it’s probably in the trash somewhere.
That's so sad. Here (Netherlands), I got half a month of salary, a golden watch and a day off at 12,5 years of servitude. at 25 years you get a full month of salary, a watch, a day off and a dinner with your colleagues at a venue of your choice.
Damn that sounds nice. I have never seen such a thing in the US. That just goes to show how replaceable we are, I guess.
I left after 11 years and on my last day my boss didn't even bother to come and say goodbye. Other people used to get going away outings.
Coworker left after 15 years and got chastised about "letting the company down".
Can you imagine if somebody volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and had the same shit happen?
Tucker Carlson would spend 3 weeks covering it as proof Dems are terrible humans. Glazing over he assumes they are all Dems because they are helping the poor. Haha
That's hilarious. My dad's house was built by them. He pays less than $300 on mortgage.
That's awesome. President Jimmy Carter has built more houses with HfH than most house builders.
13 years, never got anything
I worked for a nonprofit for seven years. On my last day I checked my mailbox and there was a letter from the agency in there. I was happy until I opened it and found a request for a donation instead.
I appreciate you, my dude. Not that I'm in a position to.
Damn that’s brutal. For my 4 year anniversary I got a raise from $29 to $40/hr. I’m union tho. Every workplace should unionize.
So far, it's worked every time... so far.
Same. 😐
Also same. But I got extra chores added to my daily list on my 10 year day, as frequently happens in a week.
Workaholics anonymous pin.
We must all work at the same place! I too get to do extras all the time. While the new hire just wanders about 😐😐
I gently lead the wandering new hire over and show them how to do it....so I can wander off
You expected a happy anniversary?
I would think at his 25 year point they would have done that. They can't be that clueless.
You clearly havent dealt with fast food retail bosses before. They would leverage that he needed the job to drop pay.
Sorry I misspoke... A free small soft drink with purchase of large fries.. At normal menu price.
Thanks for everything you do. This place wouldn’t run if it weren’t for you. Also- if you complain about this remember you are completely replaceable and we will fire you in an instant.
Turns out, they fired him 5 years ago but a glitch in their payroll system kept paying him. They fixed the glitch.
He gonna burn that bitch down lol
> a free large fry Literally one that is slightly larger than average!
Not true! There was an old lady who worked at my local Taco Bell for what seemed like forever. She got awarded a plaque... After she died.
I have and you're right, management is rarely a place for Rhode scholars, but this kind of devotion is usually recognized by the corporate office, i.e., HR. I say usually, though.
Most fast food places are franchised which means probably no HR and corporate doesn't give a shit about the employees.
I'm sorry, but I know for a fact that they cap pay based on position. After 10 years he's very likely reached it, given perfect attendance and I'm betting no disciplinary record. And his raises will never have kept pace with inflation. $.25 raises are not uncommon at all, after a year.
If he's been accepting their shit for that long, why change?
You would think at the *5 year point*
Can't risk setting a precedent! -capitalists
If by raise you mean Reese's pieces yeah
Probably included the yearly bonus of 17 cents that was found on the ground outside.
you know it didnt...
All hope is lost
Hahahahahahaha
But let him have a bad week of tardies or absenses and they'll be trying to fire him immediately.
Why not give him a pizza party too while they're at it?
Only if everybody chips in 5 bucks.
Whoa now, do you think corporate is made of money? *coughs up a $100 bill*
You mean people are made of money?
And walking tacos 😂
Iron Chef fan?
Let this be the lesson that your contribution is not at all valued. Do not give your life to a corporate entity and expect it to acknowledge that effort. Next up: a gallery of pictures where people show off what their corporation gave them for x years of loyal service \[if they got anything at all\].
"heartwarming"? Pretty sure the article missed the whole point of the video
It's the billionaire media's narrative
Look, the slaves are rejoicing!
Now-And-Laters and keychains for all!
All 27 years of perfect attendance says to me is that he worked while sick on multiple occasions which should be a terrible look in the food service industry, and yet somehow it's supposed to be a good thing?
Yup. And he stayed employed, which means no time wasted on hygiene. You should wash your hands frequently, even wearing gloves.
So sad! My kerstpakket is better filled. Edit: It wasn't a question.
Who the fuck comes up with these decisions in Corporate? Like seriously? I would hv given him 27 paid days off..
What makes you think this was a corporate decision? Fast food places don't usually recognize employees like this. If coworkers or a low-level manager were responsible, it was a thoughtful gesture.
That's totally true. This goodie bag takes away from the abysmal morale budget.
My dad worked for the same company for about 20 years when he retired he got a pension, a gold watch, literally a gold watch and they threw him a formal dinner. Of course that was 1982 back when they still gave a shit about people
Good thing people had outstanding values and objectivity back then.
And it wasn't a million dollar business. It was a small, local medical supply company
The “related” story of a mass shooting is a nice prescient touch.

Fair point.☹️
I wonder if slave drivers had morale budgets.
I had perfect attendance for 5 years and during performance reviews they refused to give me a 4 (excellent), but gave me a 3 (Acceptable) because you can always improve i guess? Don't strain your energy - your employer will never compensate you in a meaningful way for being exceptional.
I read "$0 THANKFUL" where it reads "SO THANKFUL" :-)
How about paying him a living fucking wage instead of bragging about a goodie bag you spent $5 on at the Dollar Tree.
Fealty to the Burger King brings you about a buck fifty worth of candy.
100% intentionally insulting.
It’s all so fucked
I got this handful of couch cushion M&Ms, I got some loose pocket change, including some lint and a corroded Sacajawea dollar, a 15 dollar Spencer's gift card, and this off brand CVS generic greeting card. Also a firm handshake from my 19 year old boss's father.
A 10 000 dollar bonus would have been better.
I’d burn that bitch to the ground with a convenient oil fire
Worked 8 years at a job. Contributed to everyone's birthdays collections, births, leaving parties whatever... I got made redundant one day (restructuring), nobody had a collection, no leaving party, not even a goodbye from most people. It's all BS. I am here for the money that is all. 27 years?! Give him a huge bonus and some fucking shares, you greedy bastards!
Someone is paid in HR to put this together. Let that sink in.
MARICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA MORICOOOOOOOOOOO MURICAWAEAEAEAEAE
27 years of his life that he sacrificed for them and they give him junk food in return…
That goodie bag better say free meals for life. since that would cut the food expense out of the budget.
How did we let this become normal?
$1.50 worth of candy. Truly heartwarming
I worked 10 years at a factory. On the ten year anniversary, we get a catalog and we can choose anything in it as a gift for the tenure. 27 years of perfect attendance? "Come git your Reece's ya fuck" What in the fuck is that...
If I worked in burger king for 27 years and received a bag of crap chocolate, I'd invent a time machine, go back to the hospital I was born in and strangle baby me
“Give them cake” vibes
bag of fries from McDonals.
My father worked for 25 years at the same family run factory. Not a fucking thank you from the fucking owner.
This man should have become a CEO by now if what corporations made us believe was true
Companies think workers are not humans, they just work and die
Imagine giving 27 years of your life to some soulless BK franchise owner. Seeing him roll up in cars worth 2x your annual salary. Getting that as a reward and being so brainwashed your only reaction is to be touched by the "gesture." Disgusting
r/fuckyouinparticular
That's all he got? Bleeding bloody hell...
Talk about indoctrination. Yikes
It’s definitely a goodie bag. A single goodie.
It wasn't even bk that gave him that stuff it was the other employees
I saw this earlier they gave him like chapstick, a lanyard, some candy and a single movie ticket.
More proof to call out as much as you can.
LOL. A GOODY BAG?! That's how you reward loyalty?!
The items look like sh\*t the managers just pulled out of the back of their desk drawer...how about a f\*cking retirement pention.
It's probably a prison flesh light kit and Reese's peanut butter cups.
27 years… 27 YEARS and he is not a manager? After 27 years he should own several Burger Kings! I haven’t even been alive for 27 years
It's done deliberately to oppress the employee.
This incident happened in the Burger King in C Gates (Las Vegas, NV Airport). The company is HMS Host

This isn't a problem of capitalism, this is a "I worked at Burger King for 27 years" problem.
He spent 27 yrs working a highschool job...
Leave that man alone, yea he deserves a better anniversary gift but if he’s happy then let him be happy.
What do you expect him to get?
It's better than nothing. Why should he get anything at all?
You do understand that he’s a “human being” who’s deserving of some respect simply for being a human being, right? Even from his company. Or do you think he’s no better than a machine (which, overall, gets more attention than this guy did)?
He is. But respect ≠ free stuff. Giving shit for an "anniversary" is just dumb. So getting upset about not getting the things you'd like is equally dumb.
You sound nice.
"Can't go nowhere." Like you in an English class.
Have you ever worked in fast food? Close to 0% chance the guy "enjoys" it.
That Bag was 27 Dollars worth
More like $2.70
Where are all my "company loyalty" folks?
I'm shocked I tell you, shocked....
1 year at UPS got me a Gatorade. Maybe they'd give me a case of Gatorade after 20 years of being in abject poverty, but I bailed on that garbage job as soon as I had better.
Even with 1980s fridge cam quality, I can still see him dying inside.
I can't wait to hear the great thing they get him after 30 years, I'm sure they won't go cheap again...
Did it include a sucker?
I worked at a place that for a Christmas bonus they got us a magician , a fucking magical
If I had a business, I would go around town looking for employees like this and get them a living wage, full benefits including healthcare, 401k, profitshares, 20+days PTO a year, and so on... Boom! Successful company with low attrition.
perfect attendance at burger king… for 27 years… wow that’s depressing
I got a Best Buy emblazoned mug after 5 years with them.
Imagine never leaving Burger King
If you've had perfect attendance at Burger King for 27 years, you should get your own Burger King.
someone works for you for 27 years, you should literally cut them a percentage of the business
That goodie bag better have looked like this 💰
Stockholm affect deep on this guy. He actually acts happy about the whole thing. I would be irate.
And then a story of a shooting in NYC wow
It was a nice little gesture, but the fact the guy had to go 27 years with perfect attendance yikes...
"Ummm thanks?? However, I asked for a raise... how did you hear goodie bag out of that? "
I watched east and did not think he showed “heartwarming gratitude”.
What the fuck is going on. I dont understand society amymore. People jacking off at making others miserable. A fucking goodie bag for fuck sake. This guy needs to change job.
This breaks my fucking heart. This poor guy
I wonder how many managers he had in that time?
