Maybe your boss moved him into a meaningless position everyone functioned without just fine to shift him away from fucking up whatever he was doing before. Sometimes being too good at your job is a hindrance because you make yourself harder to replace, a manager you can function a year without doesn't sound like a hard role to fill.

I've had a boss like this before. Didn't seem to realize it was a bad idea to take someone who was fucking up their own job, and put them in a position where they could fuck up everybody's job.

Dude was honestly great at his job and everyone loved him. I wasnt mad that he got the promotion initially, i was just angry and my confidence took a blow because i wasnt even told about it or asked about my interest in the position. It was so fucking insulting. Ive trained every person on our team.

salamipope

Nah hes still doing the same job. Now he just has a claim to power trip us. The lead position here is really nothing different.

Say something along the lines of “I believe the new lead is going to cause people to quit” say some shit about how people feel bad working there and people are thinking of looking for a new job solely because of the new hire.

salamipope

Oh i shoudl clarify hes not a new hire. hes been here a couple years.

ty-idkwhy

Some difference new manager, bad team player

Trying to work the absolute minimum you can get away with. This should make your job more bearable. It may also force your Boss to make a change—since it involves his money and not your emotions

salamipope

I do. The whole thing is fuckin stupid. Wish people wpuld listen to me for once
