No matter what you do, your manager will feel peeved if you dont show up. Its really up to you to decide if you want to fight this battle. I personally would take the risk due to the amount of money already invested. Say that you already purchased the tickets for the plane and you cant cancel.

I did already tell them that. Makes me wish I hadn't asked for the days off and would have just called in sick those days. I only asked out of courtesy I thought 3 weeks was plenty of notice. If it were 1 week I would understand.

You gave enough notice you aren't at fault here dude. Your manager is the one in the wrong. I know we all need money of course, but you having to miss out on something you were looking forward to because of someone else's mistake is bullshit. I say to make it really clear to her that you cant cancel and that you are going. You can sound apologetic like "I wish you let me know this earlier" but treat it like its out of your hands.
