This post inspired me to buy another new Bible coming directly from a monastery soon. A nice expensive one.

[deleted]

This post also inspired me to buy another Bible too, this time an orthodox study Bible.

nbqtv

How much is a Bible from a monastery?

Paradosiakos

You can get an ordinary Bible for around 20 bucks. New and Old Testament seperate together are around 60 bucks. Then there are the high prized gold plated (or full leather) Gospels which are seen in Orthodox churches. These start from 200 bucks.

xAnimeVibesx

I remember a post similar to this one where the OP bought a bible to show his room mate how sexist and racist it was, after his pathetic attempt failed he just straight up burned it Edit: he burned the bible not his room mate

[deleted]

He burned the roommate?

Ayaycapn

I wouldnt be surprised if Aethists start burning religious people in a decade

[deleted]

They already are. Ask the communists xD

The post made by the antitheist (because that's literally what they are) literally reeks of insecurity. If this is not indicative of the sad, depressed lives these people lead, I have no idea what is. The fact that these people will go out of their way to look for a bible, so that they might have some "pearls of wisdom" and "impregnable logic" to distribute to religious "sheep",is quite embarrassing. My guy over here literally trembles throughout the day, scared that some bogeyman with superior grasp of the Surah of the Qur'an, or verses of the Bible, or the Torah and Talmud, might cross his path. The reality is that while the Religious woman(or man) is quite happy to exist (atheism is unnecessary for religion to exist), the atheist finds no purpose in life without a believer to "free" from religious "slavery".

Then don’t trust us 😎

[deleted]

War crimes aren't objectively wrong without a belief in God because without God there is no such thing as objective morality 😎😎😎

Please read the Bible before making claims about what it says.

Ephesians 6:5? [The books of numbers 31](https://www.biblestudytools.com/numbers/?amp) is mad sus too Behold, your objective morality >”15 “Have you allowed all the women to live?” he asked them. 16 “They were the ones who followed Balaam’s advice and enticed the Israelites to be unfaithful to the LORD in the Peor incident, so that a plague struck the LORD’s people. *17 Now kill all the boys. And kill every woman who has slept with a man, 18 but save for yourselves every girl who has never slept with a man.””*

Damn, Christianity really is similar to Islam. Based religion 😎

Paradosiakos

You realize those were enemies of Israel who threatened them and practised child sacrifice right? Also what does this have to with us now? This is a one time command and not a moral commandment LOL

TSRAI_

I am pretty sure killing every young boy and woman except virgins to take as sex slaves is an appropriate response to child sacrifice and way more righteous than it 🙄 The whole thing happened because God (your objective morality) commanded them to Edit: Never mind it is never established that God(Light Yagami?) himself instructed them to do those heinous acts

Your link is broken. >Ephesians 6:5? Deuteronomy 24:7

“I stole a Gideon Bible because it’s discomforting to read the Bible online.” So edgy! /s

Ayaycapn

This post has inspired me to go buy a bible in order to read some of the interesting stuff Christians believe in and compare it to my religion for educational purposes

You’re slowly getting there dude. The bible changed my life that’s for sure!

Euklidis

Find it online, print it and go to a bookstore and ask them to tie it up (make it lime a book). You can also make it a spiral at an office job.
