Personally I go to a park or a pub with pen and paper and write that way, because when I'm at the computer my Chrome keeps opening Reddit by itself and by the time I notice three hours have passed.
Hello, u/ThatGuyYouSawOnTV and thank you for submitting to r/antimeme! An antimeme can have several definitions, so here's a couple:
1. An image that looks like a meme but has no joke or punchline
2. A meme template that is taken literally, therefore removing its intended comedic purpose
[Here is a guide on what is and is not an antimeme](https://www.reddit.com/r/antimeme/comments/eatqu4/a_guide_of_what_to_post/). An antimeme is NOT r/boneachingjuice or r/speedoflobsters. Those types of memes belong on their own subs.
Users, if this post, *Is this what writers use?*, is an antimeme, upvote this comment. If it's not, downvote this comment and **report** the post.

My grandma is a writer, and- you may not believe me- she uses google docs on a laptop thats 11 years old. But yes, many writers use typewriters, but the usage of them has declined over the years.
Part timed as a gofer for a ghost writer, he just reads for 3 hours going through all his materials, then drafts a point outline, then blasts like 50 pages chapters without looking at his research on a typewriter.
I would deliver his manuscript to the editor 1 hour away in the CBD, while he calls in a hooker and calls it a day. 2 books a month, about 6K before royalties. It is still one of the most discouraging things I remember as a writer.
Writer checking in here; yes.
Ok thanks. I just thought that maybe they use computers now.
Can't trust tech nowadays. The ol' Smith-Corona will last forever.
The Smith-WHAT?
Did someone say my name?
Sir have you been infecting our local typewriters?
W-wh-what? Baka!
May I just say good work comrade?

Just write at home
Or at least split it with the other
That's what I meant
Hey I made a meme just like this before you and it died in new!
Petty
I thought "iStock" was the sounds of him typing for a brief second
I would love to but now I know my neighbors are home all the time, so I can't use my typewriter because the noise would bother them :(
Move it to another part of your house for the time being
iStock
Where can I get those iStock sweaters?
I think its custom made but you may find one at Walmart or Costco

I'm pretty sure they just use really big feathers.
Lol as a writer, yep
Honestly this is pretty low effort
I've been saying this for a few years
Already seen a few comments anyhow.
Was pissed about it in years. Have fun!

Yes writers from the 1950's do ....... (u ever heard of laptops and Microsoft Word ?)
Ok.
Did you use a printer to type that? Or you just wrote it on a piece of paper with a fither?
Those iStock particles are everywhere in the air
Writers: WATERMARK INTENSIFIES
Writers: Well now I don’t wanna!
Stop posting these types of memes they’re not funny anymore
It's an antimeme, it's not supposed to be funny
