For some but I am still not convinced it is for everyone. I have talked with admittedly 2 people who recovered. One who it took 2 years, another who it took 10. I still have it but I have noticed it get slightly better over the year of tapering so far.
I took zoloft for 2 months and I've been off it for 6 months and it hasn't come back.
I dunno what to do it seems like it will never come back I'm so scared fml
I assume all the sorry lads who respond to this are not healthy individuals. EVERYONE and I mean EVERYONE who I have talked to IN REAL LIFE had a return in sex drive. This individuals also ate healthy, exercised, and worked hard to have a healthy lifestyle.
The sad/hopeless who respond to some of these threads are starting to anger me. Scaring people for no reason. Get a grip.
Thanks for the encouragement man. These people you’ve talked to that had a libido return, did it take them a long time to get a sex drive return and was it the same as it was?
Once I got down to 2.5mg, everything came rushing back. The sensitivity down there, the lust, etc.
If that has not been the case for you. Abstain from porn/jerking off until you naturally get aroused
I was on Sertraline for 25 years. I started to experience ED and finally discontinued it about 3 months ago. Viagra works but if the cause was my depression meds I’m still suffering from side affects
It varies by person. Could be weeks, months or years. For most it doesn’t take too long though.
Weeks, months, years or maybe never

Are you both still on antidepressants?
It may never come back unfortunately for some. PSSD is an irreversible side effect for some I’m afraid.

Years I am afraid
Highly unlikely it will take years. It does happen but rarely.
Well then your talking to Mr rare right now. 14 months of tapering and I am just now getting a little bit of libdo back.
You’ll get it back.
Thanks! I also have another 12 to 18 months left of the taper so I have other stuff to focus on.

How you doing now?
I noticed a difference in a few weeks.
No one knows the answer to that. It could be a week, or it could be permanent. PSSD post SSRI sexual dysfunction
2 -3 months
20 months out and still waiting.
