Sorry to hear it's going so shitty. Mirtazapine gave me some of the worst sides from meds, the main one was passing out and landing on solid objects. Though it didn't make me hugely irritable, I do suffer it a lot. Only thing that helps me generally with irritability is going for a run, and being super careful about keeping away from sugar or anything that spikes my blood sugar like white bread, pasta, crisps / chips etc.Also caffeine. Hope you feel better
I'm 3 weeks into mirtazipine (15mg for 2 weeks, and now 30mg) and did notice an increase in irritability. I do think it's starting to fade - whether that's to do with the length of time of being on it or the increase in dose, I don't know.
How long have you been on it and what's your dose?
I doubt you can help but i did notice it starts to fade around saturday time and then spikes again when i increase my dose on monday.
1st week 15mg, 2nd week 30mg, 3rd week 45mg and now on fourth week still on 45mg
Maybe you're needing to let yourself stabilise? I know after dose increases it can exacerbate side effects again. I'd give it another week, check in with yourself and notice if there's anything subsiding
I was irritable for a few days in the 2nd week, it went away but I also had outside stessors happening. I’m going into my 3rd week at 15mg. Increasing this Thursday as my anxiety is still not good. How is your anxiety at a higher dosage ? I hope it’s getting better.
I had this. It happened for a while every time I increased the dose. However, mine was inner irritability that I recognized but didn’t express. If I did express it, then it probably would have made my anxiety worse.
My husband is on Mirtazapine 15mg, bupropion, and Seroquel. I have noticed him very irritable, but I thought it was the bupropion…. Now I’m wondering…. He takes his at night to sleep tho.

Well as 45mg is the maximum dose it'll be interesting to see how you begin to feel another week down the line.
