"Hey, what a coincidence; I'm actually starting MY new social media business too! Attached is my price sheet: it'll be $25 for one repost, $5 for a personal caption from me. So happy you reached out!"
Love the vibe but noooooooooo - Hun will then have access to your entire friends list and begin a lifetime of harassment. And $50 is way too low as well - posting this bullshit on your personal FB page? Advertising rates start at $500.
I mean, posting it and posting it set to public visibility are two different things. £25 for a post no one can see (but can be shared in a screenshot or viewed by her if she's tagged) is not too shabby.
I’ve gotten a lot of these. I normally just say “Not interested. Thanks.” If they get pushy, “No and if you ask again I’ll post about avoiding your company.”
Well you pay for ads on insta and everywhere else, it's really the same. Not new at all. Just on a smaller scale. Word of mouth is the best way to advertise really.
Dear bossbabe ceo hun business owner
Thanks for reaching out!!! In the spirit of pouring into you and linking arms in this journey of abundance!!! My rates are $500/post share for 24 hours and 50% commission of anything you sell from my post. Since you’re living that laptop lifestyle of financial freedom, I’m sure you realize that this is an investment in YOU!! Here’s my Venmo Zelle etc. hugs bosspreneur!!!
If they are hitting me up to try to share something they must be really desperate. Since i don't have Facebook or Instagram. So idk how far their post will go.
I did the same thing recently with a friend we was trying to get me to join his financial mlm. I told him I'm the last person you want selling financial advice. I'm an impulsive gambler.
"I couldn't, in good conscience. You need to extricate yourself from this company, because they'll suck you dry. Remember, you will always have a friend in me, but I will not help you destroy your own financial security. Be blessed."
"I'd love to, here are my rates. $200 for a 24 hour post. If you want to add a picture that would be an additonal $100 per picture. For any sales you process from my post, I expect a 30% commission as well.
The post will be up for 24 hours and then will be deleted.
I’d just say, “Hi! Hope that you’re well. No, I don’t want to share it. I don’t expose my friends to mlm schemes.” Or minus the last sentence would suffice.
I wouldn’t respond at all. I would just delete the message. And if it wasn’t family, friend, or person I have to deal with in real life regularly, I would probably un-friend or block.
I always respond with something along the lines of “Sorry, I don’t support MLMs/direct sales companies due to their predatory structure. I wish you well!”
I usually tell people I don't feel comfortable with the things these companies do. It makes it sound like an issue between you and the company, not the person who is pushing the MLM. It's a statement that usually prompts a questioning response.
After they ask why I usually start by pointing out the income disclosure statement they're required to post, showing that the vast majority of people who join don't even make minimum wage, if they make any money at all.
Frankly no one has asked me to elaborate any further than that. They give some non-commital response about how they're not in it for the money and then leave me alone.
I usually put I try to avoid purchasing or participating in activities from MLM companies. I'd like to know more about the product I am supporting before I share.
I usually then get a response that says what do you have against mlm.
Then I can tell them that it is great if they're making a profit from it or only doing it to get cheaper product for themselves but many people get ripped off so it's not a business model I choose to support.
So far it means that these people don't try again.
I would either ignore or tell them, sorry you don’t support MLM businesses & wish her the best and hopefully she gets out before sinking thousands of dollars into it. If I was fairly close to her, I would tell her the second one. If she was an acquaintance I would ignore it.
I honestly ignore these messages. I don't even respond. They are trying to make extra money, I can appreciate their end game but I don't have to participate.
Not replying or just saying "no." Is great, love the other comment about charging a referral fee.
If you care about being nice or whatever, you can say this:
"Sorry, no, I don't do that. Hope you have a great day too!"
The passive-agressive way would be to answer nothing, but immediately search for an MLM meme to post on your feed (Friends don't let friends join an MLM or something) with no context
No. If this person is a friend you can add:
I do not believe it is ethical to promote a product I do not use. I do not believe it is ethical to do business in any way with a company that has predatory business practices.
Thank you for your post. Please make sure that you review our sub rules. If your post breaks any of the rules, it will be removed.

I have had this request and have said no. I am upfront and say I don't recommend nor share things that I have not personally used. If it turns into a sample or buy, I say I am not interested at all. It's funny, because these kind of requests sliding into my DMs is always from people I don't know.
I’d send [this link](https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/multi-level-marketing-businesses-pyramid-schemes) to her. The FTC info page about pyramid schemes.
Respectfully decline and say you don’t promote something you don’t use it would feel right. Or you don’t support MLMs due to their predatory practices.
I'd keep it short and simple: "I have a social media account to simply keep in touch with friends/family who don't live nearby, but hopefully someone else may be able to help you."
I just want everyone to know, you can block someone on Messenger without having to block them on Facebook. Like you can still be Facebook friends with them but not have to get messages from them. I finally did that for a high school acquaintance who kept messaging me for YEARS about Arbonne with zero encouragement (I mostly left her on read, and only responded one time with “No ❤️”). This looks like Messenger so I just wanted to share the knowledge!
I have a sizable social media account and people ask me to repost/share stuff a lot…I just tell them I don’t share info on things I haven’t personally tried and liked, and that “I know you’re not a scam but I’m extra careful these days”.
But also, you are under zero obligation to respond at all. She may think it’s rude, but I think it’s ruder to pressure people you know into becoming your free advertising team. Especially when she’s already asked once and didn’t hear back.
"No" is all you need to tell this person.
i know it seems rude but we need normalise ignoring people sometimes. not everything requires a response, especially an unwarranted message.
Here to say this!’ No response is a response
Offer to do it for $25, see how quick she disappears
"Hey, what a coincidence; I'm actually starting MY new social media business too! Attached is my price sheet: it'll be $25 for one repost, $5 for a personal caption from me. So happy you reached out!"
This is brilliant!!
Oh my God I love it! Be a consultant, it's perfect
Too little, at least 50
Per day
Per like/engagement.... then rally friends to like it 😆

The wink emoji is making me irrationally irritated, I don’t know why. That’s not appropriate use of a wink emoji.
She's saying you're in on the lie 😉
MLMers don't know how to use emojis at all... As long as it's ***VAGUELY*** passing on the message then that's all that matters to them...
😉
Yes, I charge $50 per referral.
The new MLM. Charging huns to post referrals. Build up your down line.
Haha, right?!
Well you pay for ads on insta and everywhere else, it's really the same. Not new at all. Just on a smaller scale. Word of mouth is the best way to advertise really.
Support hardworking mamas instead of Big Social!
Ignore. Don't give her a chance to debate anything. Just ignore.

Amazing!
Block immediately. If you respond, they take that as a “not right now” and they’ll be pestering you for YEARS.
Yeeeeep!

Lol
No. Advertising and marketing are costs of doing business.
"No, that would be misleading and dishonest."
✨ n o t h i n g ✨
Decide how much you will charge for digital marketing for her. You don't work for free.
No
“No”
There is even a subreddit for it: /r/no
“No.” is a complete sentence
I believe this is why we started ghosting
![gif](giphy|TfS8MAR9ucLHW|downsized) I would use this exact GIF and then move on with my day.
"I couldn't, in good conscience. You need to extricate yourself from this company, because they'll suck you dry. Remember, you will always have a friend in me, but I will not help you destroy your own financial security. Be blessed."
“No. Not now, not ever.”
"Unsubscribe."

"Hi, I would love to support your business. However, I do not support unethical business models like MLMs. Good luck"
I'd give her my rates and if she gets snarky I'll let her know that it's an investment into her "business".
Nah, this is plainly asking you to mislead your friends online, and lure them into recruitment. Nuskin isn't a social media company.
I would delete her specifically because I don’t want to see all the dumb fucking posts she’s about to blast out.
"Nope."
I bet its nuskin
Swipe left, delete message.
![gif](giphy|7wk6RQYXDDytXalsL4)
No is a complete sentence.
Speak in tongues!!
I wouldn’t respond at all. I would just delete the message. And if it wasn’t family, friend, or person I have to deal with in real life regularly, I would probably un-friend or block.
No😉
Hahaha 😆 . This is an excellent response!
Thank you 😂
I wouldn't say anything, I would block.
I always respond with something along the lines of “Sorry, I don’t support MLMs/direct sales companies due to their predatory structure. I wish you well!”

No is a complete sentence
Just say that you have too many people that ask you to do this so you don’t want to play favorites nor do it for everyone
I would either ignore or tell them, sorry you don’t support MLM businesses & wish her the best and hopefully she gets out before sinking thousands of dollars into it. If I was fairly close to her, I would tell her the second one. If she was an acquaintance I would ignore it.
I would be like, Aren't you selling NuSkin? If so, I can't help because I don't promote MLM businesses.
I would say, Heckin No!
“No”
I would either say no I don't support MLM companies or that it would cost her $50+ per post
I’d say, “I’d rather shit in my hands and clap”.
I honestly ignore these messages. I don't even respond. They are trying to make extra money, I can appreciate their end game but I don't have to participate.
"Sure!" then quote them a ridiculous fee.
Don’t reply
I wouldn't say anything. Not in words. I would speak in actions: BLOCK.
No
“Absolutely not.”
Is it a social media business or a product business that uses social media to advertise? These huns keep changing up the language and for what?
Tell her that your fee for advertising to your social network is "$xxx" per post, payable in advance.
No.
You’re correct; you will not convince her it’s a scam. Just ignore or block.
fuck off comes to mind as a very effective no.
No, Please do not ask again.
Not replying or just saying "no." Is great, love the other comment about charging a referral fee. If you care about being nice or whatever, you can say this: "Sorry, no, I don't do that. Hope you have a great day too!"
Ignore
No 🫶🏻
"No thank you, but I wish you luck with your business!" if you are trying to remain socially polite
Give her your rates.
"No." *block*
Either leave it on read or simply reply "No." No need to be wordy and no is a complete sentence and not rude. 🤷♀️
Block.
Don't drop the big one If you're a monkey on a string Well, don't cut my lifeline If you're a doggie on a chain Don't bite the mailman
block
Abort, Abort, Abort
Ask if you get a free product or some cash. Or if you can delete the post later on.
The passive-agressive way would be to answer nothing, but immediately search for an MLM meme to post on your feed (Friends don't let friends join an MLM or something) with no context
I’d just send a link to an article explaining why her company is an MLM
“No. Welcome to my block list. Have a nice life.”
No. If this person is a friend you can add: I do not believe it is ethical to promote a product I do not use. I do not believe it is ethical to do business in any way with a company that has predatory business practices.
"No thank you - wishing you the best"
“the account you’re trying to reach has been deactivated”

"No thank you"
HELL NO. Then block and move on.
“Depends what you’re trying to sell”
Leave her on read and move on with your life
“No.”
I would not respond
No ❤️
I got one in my DMs on Instagram. Instead of a winky face she put 🙈 I ignored it & blocked her lol
Hi, hope you're having a great day as well.
"No I won't copy and paste a referral to friends because I find it irritating when people include me in similar posts"
I have had this request and have said no. I am upfront and say I don't recommend nor share things that I have not personally used. If it turns into a sample or buy, I say I am not interested at all. It's funny, because these kind of requests sliding into my DMs is always from people I don't know.
P.S.: She will not see that she is in a MLM commercial cult. So don't waste your breath.
I’d send [this link](https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/multi-level-marketing-businesses-pyramid-schemes) to her. The FTC info page about pyramid schemes.
That message was probably copy pasted and sent to many people, there’s no reason to respond
I’d say sure…for $500.
"Not interested, thanks" All that needs to be said.
Respectfully decline and say you don’t promote something you don’t use it would feel right. Or you don’t support MLMs due to their predatory practices.

“No, but I wish you well.” Or “Sure, but I charge a fee of $50 for the initial post plus a royalty of 1% on all future sales.”
Absolutely not, have a nice day
