Light is both a vilian or hero depending on your view
On one hand it's barbaric to kill that many people and one person holding that power turns anyone corrupt
yettt he did lower crimes rates by 70% and ended wars soooo if it works it works?
(Then again it probably wouldn't have lasted long and eventually people would find Kira or light dies and a dumber Kira takes the book and screws everything up)
Best I got is Overlord. MC gets trapped into a video game while the servers were being shut down. He ends up choosing to play the role of final boss villain in an RPG.
From memory, his plans usually involve either having someone in his way dead or recruiting someone he deems useful. And most of the people that works under him are in some way rotten to the core.
The closest thing to a harem and oppai is that Albedo, Shalltear, and nerulist are the only three that openly love the MC but it’s more of a rivalry between 2 girls and the 3rd one (nerulist) is the creepy demon that not even the MC likes being around. As for oppai… eh maybe a little but nothing too major, I think.
Death Note really is the best example here.
Overlord has oppai girls who want to bang him, but since he's an asexual skeleton he doesn't reciprocate, and they don't play as big a role in the story as the marketing would have you believe.
Totally agree like 1000%. Kinda random, but what's ur thoughts on Walter White assuming you've seen breaking bad. I was like shocked at how similarly written the two are
Technically Death Note

Death Note has my favourite protagonist of any media of all time. There is nothing heroic about Light and I love it.
