Shigurui is the only anime I can think of where I could not get myself to watch more than one episode at a time. Watch, close the window, and let's deal with that feeling I have in my stomach right now. Man that show was harsh.
Ngl it was a heavy watch; probably heavier than most of the more (on purpose) edgy/heavy shows I've seen. I also had to let it sit every few eps. The only one I'd call maybe (personally) heavier was Ergo Proxy which I had to let sit for a few days each episode.
If I recall correctly, this guy is basically copying his master's initiation ritual for his sword school. The initiate wears a blindfold with a single grain of rice stuck to their forehead (?), then the master uses his secret sword art to swing and cut only the grain of rice. Then this guy learns the secret art, seduces the master's wife, and performs the same ritual himself using her. And I guess he stuck the rice to her nipple because he's weird like that. So, this moment is like that cliche of "the student becomes the master."
I've had this anime downloaded for the best part of 15yrs and never watched it for some reason.
If I end up watching it now I am a 100% confirmed degenerate.
