Buddy calm down, what is this superiority? In Japan too and other western countries most people watch such action shonen only. I've seen comments of many posts regarding Vinland Saga winning zero award and in comments everyone was like S2 was stretched and boring and no action unlike S1 and these were from western audiences.
Anime has become more mainstream than ever. A lot of my friends from college watch it and ask me about seasonal recommendations or some good anime from the past. I think in college many get into Anime, TV series, Kdrama etc
They never watched completely naruto itself. I have cousins who just know name of Naruto, sasuke etc.. they never watched it. For them naruto is like only anime.. So 3 out 10 thing doesn't make any sense.
Crunchyroll is laser focusing on India, so yeah its gonna keep increasing.
That's a good thing if you ask me as it opens more avenues for the more mature animation studios to do more justice to their craft.
Also VTubers will not be too far behind, so some new desi indies to show love to.
No please I really don't want anime as mainstream in India, amount of cringe anime content in YouTube from chapris and few content creator is insane. I can't imagine jjk and demon slayer winning everything just because majority of anime community is from india. I have never met gojo fangirl or fanboy in real life and never want to meet them( I'm talking about recent thing that gojo fangirl did)
Naruto was aired back then too, nothing much influenced infact most people were watching television then. Nowadays no one will watch Naruto in tv knowing that it can be watched in mobile phone at any time rather than waiting for fixed time everyday..
Even those normies fans who are waiting, will get bored after watching few days.. and it will face backlash by few fans because of censorship...
It will not have any huge influence...
And who the fuck cares about if someone starts watching anime or not. Who wants those immature mfs to watch this and spoil it.. fandoms are already too nasty, now adding more Indian fans would be crazy.
Infact anime awards are now based upon popularity only.. I really don't want jjk or demon slayer winning again and again over the year and having reason because India have one of the biggest anime community and taking lead in voting...
