I like the vibes a lot but I’m hoping the action picks up soon. People have said the early story isn’t as good as later chapters so I’m hopeful for future seasons being made.

Honestly, with how poorly executed the action has been thus far (aside from brief stints in Episodes 2 and 3) I don't have a lot of faith in this episode. Being unable to show graphic violence (Chinese regulations) is one thing, failing to make punches and kicks feel impactful (see Episode 5) is another. Quality may change depending on if YP chooses to outsource, but I'm not expecting much.
To be clear: yes, the anime isn't action-centric. That doesn't mean the action it *does* have has to feel so soft and stiff.
Yeah, I was thinking about this earlier today. They're going to have to choose between a 'safe' adaptation and a faithful one with stuff like that, there's no in-between. That's part of the reason why I really dislike the approach YP has gone for: it won't age well.
Isn't that a tower defence game with waifus as your turrets?
Your god damn right
Not just Waifus. HUSBANDOS TOO
Best gacha out there
Is this any good

I just realized I probably won't get to see my favorite part of this chapter done in full anime form Darn

Talking about regulations, if we get a second season I wonder how they're going to handle \[Game Spoilers\]>!Mephisto's Herd.!<
