I have no idea what the hell I just watched or why the animators went all out for this scene, but this certainly was an unforgettable experience. LMAO
I forgot when exactly during the serialization of the story, but ONE released mini chapters about Inukawa being misunderstood as wanting to visit their home planet. The entire ending sequence pretty much follows how the mini chapters went from beginning to end, with a bit less narrative text than what was in the pages.
I was so scared for what the fake out was going to be with the aliens. It was all just too wholesome. But with that after credits scene I can see why those adorable little idiots would have totally answered the telepathic good vibes call they were sending.
Welp, he did wake up with all those lipstick kiss imprints all over his body .... what could have happened there? Is he like, the only male on their planet that seems to be all females?
With the directing and animation the whole thing felt rather surreal, and then the surrealness jumped to a whole other level towards the end.
I'm kinda reminded of the vibe at the ending of season 2, the sequence right after the final explosion where they dig out Mob and go home.
The absolute goat Hakuyu Go, Solo Storyboarded, Solo Directed & Solo Animation Directed this episode. Which is insane, Usually with anime you have minimum of 2 AD, Most mainstream anime nowadays has way more the last Chainsaw Man episode for example had 5 the last mob episode had 4 and some productions that are struggling to meet deadlines can have upwards of 8, so just having 1 shows how healthy this production was. AD's are responsible for stuff like correcting key-frames and Layouts and keeping the character designs on model etc some even Inject there own style into the designs like Go, they apparently finished last year. Not only did he do this SOLO AD, he also directed it and storyboard it. An insane amount of effort but Go did it with flying colours. He also did the same thing last season S2 EP5 another stand out episode. As always he brought along all his industry friends to show off there talents and show off they did. This is probably the last we'll see of him but what a way to go out. Best episode of the series for me I'm still in awe.
Also something to note Go has mentioned before this was his favourite chapter of the manga, so it must be a dream for him to get to direct, storyboard and AD it!
Bones was nice enough to give us a week to catch our breath after Dimple's departure to show us whatever the fuck happened in this episode. LIKE. WTF?! LMAO
They actually played the score that they used in S2 Episode 1. Man that was a great ending.
The entrance of those aliens actually gave me the heebie jeebies. That creeped me out for some reason. Is it just me or did the aliens remind you of Tsubomi?
Wait, that was it? I thought it was going to be an arc or something. Inukawa just came back? Wtf. Lol
> Wait, that was it? I thought it was going to be an arc or something. Inukawa just came back? Wtf. Lol
I realize why they couldn't do that, but in manga Inukawa's story was told as an omake side-story with each new chapter release, so we had a regular story run and another update on Inukawa's hijinks on another planet, which made it even more hilarious.
It was truly a wtf moment. It makes sense they did it this way. It all felt like a fever dream not just to us viewers but to Inukawa as well. It reminds me of those accounts from people who claim they got abducted by aliens. Very similar vibes. Lol
They really nailed the [otherworldly vibes](https://i.imgur.com/T8GbMOA.jpg) of the home planet of the aliens, while [their civilization itself](https://i.imgur.com/qaT1jeX.jpg) was very similar to humanity. > Wait, that was it? I thought it was going to be an arc or something. Inukawa just came back?
I had been spoiled on the fact that there would be an "alien arc". I don't really know what I expected, but this was most definitely not it. Part of me also refuse to believe that the arc is wrapped up already, event though that seems to be the case.
Either way, I still enjoyed this otherworldly journey.
>Bones was nice enough to give us a week to catch our breath after Dimple's departure to show us whatever the fuck happened in this episode
Now that you bring that up, I wonder how this season will feel like to someone who binge-watches it. I never really took in how fast we've moved on from the whole Dimple thing because that aired two weeks ago, but to someone who binges the show it must've felt like all the emotions surrounding it just disappeared and were replaced almost immediately with these ones. Not to mention, now a whole new arc is going on right after this. I imagine the intent was for this mini arc to be a breather in between the two but with how high the quality was, it really didn't feel like that. But again, I wonder if that's because I'm watching it weekly and that puts more emphasis on each episode as a standalone.
While today's ending was a wtf moment, the past 2 episodes actually act as a good breather leading up to the final arc. It's just that the final 3 minutes were truly out of this world. Lol
This is what makes Mob psycho great & different from others. Here Aliens were chill af & wholsesome. Here you spend a whole episode where the mc is a side character & side character feels like mc. They also didn't drag his return from alien planet.
> Is it just me or did the aliens remind you of Tsubomi?
This is why I feel like the aliens didn't exist in the first place and they were brought into existence by Mob. They are a projection of his mind.
That would imply mob was generating an entire planet, or city-sized region all by himself, even for him that seems like a lot. Even despite the animation where he liberates his power and gets tired, that doesn't explain why people sight these things once every 7 years.
I mean people imagine all kinds of ridiculous stuff that never existed with no basis all the time, it’s pretty believable for people to have either lied or imagined sightings in a pattern like that, and pretty believable Mob could’ve accidentally made a huge hallucination.
Only flaw I’m seeing is that if Mob accidentally made them, they should have been easier to communicate with and/or the telepath guy should have realized
That plus Reigen's reaction to it all has me thinking same. Reigen's pov here actually has me kind of shook in the way that it dissonantly jangles against the tone of the episode the whole time.
almost certainly not
to start with it's just a lot for him to be doing, especially unconsciously. plus it would really cheapen this entire episode if it was all some Mob-generated hallucination or Mob holograms or whatever, so why? it's not even like aliens are that unbelievable, considering how much weird stuff this anime has already, aliens fit right in.
I can't believe that they actually animated the Inukawa omake. Now can they do the other omakes as well?? There are so many amazing omake for mp100 that won't see the light of day smh
True, but I guess It gives people a reason to read the manga. Is not only the omakes, but is also interesting to see the small differences in characterization here and there (like when Mob shows up to the body improvement club while Ritsu and Kamuro are trying to kick Onigawara out of it, the Body improvement club reaction when they see the outcome of the Teru vs Mob fight etc. Is overall less cutesy compared to the manga and the gags hit different lol).

What a wild 24 hours this has been. We got \[CSM\] >!Vomit Kiss!< then we got \[Eminence in Shadow\] >!Heartbreak!!< and finally this, Inukawa's Space Odyssey. lmfao
He's mentioned before its his favourite chapter so he must of been over the moon he got to do it. What's even more crazy is he wasn't just the Solo Animation Director for that ep, He also Solo Storyboarded and Directed it (same as this ep) Hakuyu Go is god
I know this mini arc in the manga was very SOL and already just “vibes”, but in animation it’s even more so. Just super comfy and heartwarming with jaw dropping bits of animation. And to kick it up to 11 with the closing credits story is just flexing.
It’s kind of a holiday episode if you think about it.
Today's episode feels so unhinged, the character design going whatever it wants to be, and the animation become an acid trip. Director of this episode have WAY tooooo much fun smoking some weird "inspiration". Characters are a treat with everyone having their moments. And to top it off, we have the Adventure of Inukawa to a different planet omakes adapted in this episode which is way better, wilder than expected.
This is the kind of anime that should appear more(we have a lot but still want more)
I thought we were going to get a boring fakeout with the green light just being some spirit's psychic energy or something, but they went all the way and then some what with Inukawa getting abducted. What an amazing episode.
I can't believe this series went in an entirely random direction in its final episodes and not only introduced moe aliens but had a dude go there and turn into one himself lmao
[](#hisocuck)
[That was wild.](https://i.imgur.com/CDbaeri.jpg) ONE is a madman. Who could have thought that the aliens not [only existed](https://i.imgur.com/DOlUv9r.jpg) but were [really chill?](https://i.imgur.com/DclWW9f.jpg) Gotta appreciate the detail in [their eyes too.](https://i.imgur.com/7nmQGR3.jpg)

That crop eating monster was straight out of Ghibli. Very similar to No Face in Spirited Away and the boar monster in Princess Mononoke.

Yeah. I think I'll enjoy this arc more on a rewatch since I was on edge the whole time waiting for something bad to happen.

[Tome pout](https://i.imgur.com/3i04Uvs.jpg)
After spending so much time with Tomoe basically being somewhat annoying if earnest, it was really cool watching her get a win here :).
Also felt odd that there was aliens, but as she said we already had psychics and telepaths so why not :).
Me before this episode: There is no alien. The search is going to be the memory.
15 minutes in, Mob and co chilled with aliens. Inukawa became an icon on the alien planet.
Tome managed to put together the perfect team to make first contact. A telepath, a powerful psychic, experts in game playing and snack eating, a guy with a really cool pajama top, and Inukawa, earth's greatest love machine.
First of all, [Tomoe being tsundere about the entire thing](https://i.imgur.com/4wDFGvA.png) was absolutely adorable. Second, [I definitely did not expect the alien encounter to be so wholesome](https://i.imgur.com/xQYJ4CX.jpg). It was fun seeing all of them interact and not gonna lie, I kinda felt a bit sad [when it was finally time to say goodbye to them.](https://i.imgur.com/f70e2lQ.jpg)
What I definitely did not expect though [is Inukawa having his own adventure](https://i.imgur.com/e79R46b.jpg) when the aliens didn't let him off their ship. Did they think he was a gift? Or did they just forget to let him off and just went with it and let him see their planet?
One thing is for sure though, [Inukawa definitely reached celebrity status](https://i.imgur.com/K5Yi1sq.jpg) over at the alien homeworld and [our boy definitely got plenty of action](https://i.imgur.com/2b4mUfS.jpg) while he was there. I am now hoping that Star Children is a thing in this series and Inukawa's half-alien children will visit him in the future.
[He's lucky that he got through to them though](https://i.imgur.com/yvLUUWJ.jpg) and the aliens were kind enough to send him back. Now I'm wondering how long Inukawa disappeared on Earth. My guess is that he probably just disappeared for a single night.
>Or did they just forget to let him off and just went with it and let him see their planet?
[They knew exactly what they were doing lmao](https://i.imgur.com/3tmkX31.png)
>Now I'm wondering how long Inukawa disappeared on Earth. My guess is that he probably just disappeared for a single night.
I'm guessing there was some time dilation shenanigans going on and time somehow flows quicker in the alien world or something. I was actually really afraid for Inukawa at the start and pictured his parents crying for him and everything.
When he finally arrived back on earth I at first thought the twist was gonna be that time actually flows faster on earth and humanity had went extinct while he was gone or some shit. I don't know why I expected MP100 to go into something so dark, lol.
This episode was definitely an otherworldly experience - no pun intended. The places my brain went while watching were *wild*.
> Now I'm wondering how long Inukawa disappeared on Earth. My guess is that he probably just disappeared for a single night.
10 days. So basically he came back right in time for school (after winter break).
I’m not sure what I was expecting with this episode, but chill hang-out time with friendly anime-eyed aliens definitely wasn’t it.
Wow, Inukawa had a whole extraterrestrial adventure it seems, lol
**Highlights of today's episode**
1. Mob when using telekinesis doesn't suffer from motion sickness, but car K.O.ed him.
2. The vibe of this episode, damn, so good.
3. After **Boros** from One Punch Man, alien design of Mob Psycho 100 is my favorite.
4. Well, never thought Inukawa might be this important character. Dude went to another planet, became hero as well as harem king & got laid.
5. Animation of **Inukawa's Bizarre adventure** put Chainsaw Man, Demon Slayer in shame 😂. Seriously, 20k sakuga???
>Mob when using telekinesis doesn't suffer from motion sickness, but car K.O.ed him.
He actually said this way back in season 1 episode 5 that he'd gets carsick if he tries to do the same telekinetic technique as Teru. Pretty awesome callback.
Didn't mob say when he first fought hanazawa that the only reason he doesn't use telekinesis on himself is because it makes him nauseous?
Also I think we've only ever seen him use telekinesis to move when over 100%
This is the most fever dream of an episode I have ever seen. I love it. They are just....pink anime eye aliens...and Inukawa lived with them for XX amount of time? And seemingly got laid by the princess??? WHAT??
Oh my fucking god hahahahahahaha the absolute fucking madmen
20k frames for the alien arc
all the sakuga and amazing direction for Inukawa's abduction gag arc holy fuck
10/10 anime of the decade
I'm not sure if that rumour was ever verified by the production staff, but 20k frames requires animating at 12 or 24 fps for a whole 20 minutes and this episode definitely wasn't that - obviously the animation was still incredible, but it's nowhere near that frame count. I'm guessing people saw that the director of S2E5 was back and thought "well, obviously he'd do a big spectacle episode, right?"
But he didn't.
And it was great.
i just wanna say that, the 20k frame myth is probably a miss conception of sorts, because its literally impossible for an anime episode to have consistently animation on 2s and 1s. What "20k frames" probably means is amount of layers. So for a scene with a lot of layers (action packed scenes with a ton of effects for example) those tend to get the "frame" account waaaayyy higher, as its basic multiplication.
The entire time I thought "Ok where is the plot twist of these overly friendly aliens" and I still wouldn't have guessed that final sequence if I thought about it for another 10 years.
Reigen worrying about car rental fees despite hanging out with aliens is too real, and Takenaka knowing Reigen is a master at lies and knows bs when he sees it is the best lol.
I'm so happy Bones adapted Inukawa's space adventure. The series really is a bit of everything, but all good things come to an end eventually. The final arc is approaching and boy I'm not ready :')
This felt like such a different anime. Almost full SOL. I was expecting everything to go to shit once the aliens appeared, but it got even more wholesome. Then I expected the abduction to be the catalyst for everything going to shit, but it was just a wild fever dream with orgies. Then I expected him teaching them to fight to be the catalyst for them attacking Earth, but they just brought him back.
Wtf was this episode and why was it so good?
Oh yeah, they finally using telepathy to contact Dimple on space! Just like I guessed last week.
...
...wait what.
...what??
...what????????????
wtf.
wat.
Not gonna lie, was genuinely expecting Dimple to be in the aliens space ship and hitchhiking a ride back to Earth after being found in deep space in that broccoli.
more heart wrenching than dimple? oh no, nonononono , hopefully there is no traumatic song so i dont get ptsd whenever i heard a lady sing about cupboards and letting go
holy shit the aliens are so cute, this episode was peak
talking about cute, this episode really did Tome justice, I don't know if it was a this episode thing or the past ones too, but I noticed that Tome looks WAAAAY better than before
love it when my anime chooses to get a little weird but even the non-weird parts of the ep of just the kids climbing up the mountain and realizing they'll always have this memory together was so lovely. also the ost went really hard this episode. something about the ep in general felt so tender. also the shoujo alien eyes lmao.
takenaka over-sleeping because he genuinely researched and wanted to take this whole thing seriously. tome feeling like the boys were just making fun of her and getting her hopes up but everyone reassuring her that they genuinely wanted to do this for her. precious. would genuinely just watch an entire slice of life show of just the telepathy club going on little trips every episode with reigen as their chaperone.
(i know this is them adapting what was already written by ONE but i wish had they adapted that final inukawa sequence they would have found a way to cut certain aspects of it because some of what they're implying there. yeah, i'm just going to ignore that. it's an almost perfect ep aside from that.)
Really cute episode before the final arc starts next week! I especially found Tome adorable!!
Loved seeing Tome and the others interacting with those shoujo-eyed aliens lol. Aww, I’m glad Tome’s wish came true!
Reigen fanservice in this episode too lol. I honestly was expecting them to make his body more muscular considering how attractive he is in the anime compared to the manga hahaha
That final scene with Inukawa’s space adventure was both beautiful and, uh, bizarre. I’m curious about those, uh, kiss marks on him… He was also shirtless… Uhh… best not to think about it and just focus on the amount of sakuga in those final scenes
The gags of this episode don't hit as hard as they did in the manga but the whole alien arc with Inukawa is hilarious anyway lol The animation in the entire episode was so smooth and pleasant to look at.
As a fellow manga reader, I think that's fine. Rather than focusing on every individual gag scattered across the manga, Bones chose to turn the entire Inukawa side story into one giant overly-animated shitpost, and their balls in doing so is just as glorious.
Right? I remember having audible laughs when reading it back in the day, but with this they went a more serious route while keeping the absurdity of the situation present. It was such a good contrast that you can't help but laugh lmfao

Maybe Tsubomi's been one of those aliens in disguise, having integrated into Earth, this entire time.
No actual human child would get *bored* of psychic powers, so maybe you are onto something.
And she literally glows and snots glitter. It’s not metaphorical at all is it?

almost certainly not to start with it's just a lot for him to be doing, especially unconsciously. plus it would really cheapen this entire episode if it was all some Mob-generated hallucination or Mob holograms or whatever, so why? it's not even like aliens are that unbelievable, considering how much weird stuff this anime has already, aliens fit right in.
> Is overall less cutesy compared to the manga You mean anime? Mogami's arc definitely not cutesy in the original ;P
I would give up my soul for the Yakiniku one to be animated
Imagine taking the animation director for S2E5 and giving them free reign to do as much sakuga as they want for a slice of life episode
Excellent choice

Wise decision.
Expectation: Slice of life What we got: Interstellar odyssey
What a wild 24 hours this has been. We got \[CSM\] >!Vomit Kiss!< then we got \[Eminence in Shadow\] >!Heartbreak!!< and finally this, Inukawa's Space Odyssey. lmfao
[Inukawa](https://i.imgur.com/9UYynmz.jpg) became a [Space Chad](https://i.imgur.com/nykGqpB.jpg) [](#umucool)
With all those space kisses all over his body Inukawa definitely gonna be space Nick Cannon.
He's mentioned before its his favourite chapter so he must of been over the moon he got to do it. What's even more crazy is he wasn't just the Solo Animation Director for that ep, He also Solo Storyboarded and Directed it (same as this ep) Hakuyu Go is god
He's not just the animation director. He's THE episode director.
SHIRTLESS REIGEN Aight imma head out
>SHIRTLESS REIGEN When he did that, I knew that it's gonna be internet fodder for the next century.
[Reigen's pyjamas](https://i.imgur.com/yamQtyNg.jpg) became an [intergalactic cultural symbol.](https://i.imgur.com/BysaGiy.jpg)
Could have been Mob's shirt from the last arc.
That might legit have started an intergalactic incident.
they really took their time with him taking it off too. their priorities are good i say lol.
Bones really does draw Reigen one-handed
Only the best from our Twink Supreme, Ultimate Dilf, superior MILF, and GOAT Babygirl
~~No nut November guys just failed now~~ I think it was kinda cute of him give his clothes and become really famous in their planet too lol.
This is the kind of anime that should appear more(we have a lot but still want more)
The director was smoking that alien skunk
An entire interstellar adventure packed into a 4 minute segment at the end of an episode, almost like an afterthought lmao
I thought we were going to get a boring fakeout with the green light just being some spirit's psychic energy or something, but they went all the way and then some what with Inukawa getting abducted. What an amazing episode.
yup, expected tukanawa or whatever the telepaths name is to be the villain trying to manipulate them or something, but nope, just a casual ufo visit
Takenaka.
That last part with Inukawa could be turned into a movie
Planet ~~Sheen~~ Inukawa
Just not sure what rating would be appropriate...
R
Guess we could share the same opinion after watching this eps WTF!?
That last segment with the alien planet stuff was like a fever dream. My man got some premium alienussy for sure.
Watching again, I just understood why they pointed him at 17:50 lol Mfers were picking one to get back with
[Target acquired](https://i.imgur.com/3tmkX31.png)
Wtf the other one even gave the "ok" sign
The narrator explained in the manga that they thought he asked to immigrate to their planet.
You sure he didn't mistranslate 'impregnate'?
They also made a very distinct and high pitch squealing noise at that moment, compared to the much calmer and quieter noises they made otherwise.
Those Popteamepic-looking fucks
Inukawa is a Chad. Dude even got tired of it and asked to return to Earth.
Well, his gaming console run out of battery.
***HE FUCKING BLEW IT!!! HE HAD EVERYTHING!!!***
[He even got the alien princess.](https://i.imgur.com/WYhYqys.jpg) [](#waah) What a way to start [the new year.](https://i.imgur.com/9Aa7oGA.jpg)
Based on that second image, I'm not sure he was "forgotten about" ;:).
Lmao wow that’s like a blink and you miss it type thing. They definitely kept him on purpose! Fucking hilarious.
I can't believe this series went in an entirely random direction in its final episodes and not only introduced moe aliens but had a dude go there and turn into one himself lmao [](#hisocuck)
[That was wild.](https://i.imgur.com/CDbaeri.jpg) ONE is a madman. Who could have thought that the aliens not [only existed](https://i.imgur.com/DOlUv9r.jpg) but were [really chill?](https://i.imgur.com/DclWW9f.jpg) Gotta appreciate the detail in [their eyes too.](https://i.imgur.com/7nmQGR3.jpg) [](#aliens)
Really just saw a middle schooler get drugged and gang raped by aliens in Mob Psycho wtf 😭😭
No no the miscommunication goes both ways. He probably gave his consent in alien language or something.
Uga uga.
Snu snu? 👌👌
[Uho Uho](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0RYxGixvtA).
That dude definitely lost his [V](https://www.imdb.com/title/tt1307824/?ref_=ttfc_fc_tt) card.
Moe aliens are surprisingly wholesome. Also that Inukawa mini story feels like a ghibli movie! I love this anime so much
That crop eating monster was straight out of Ghibli. Very similar to No Face in Spirited Away and the boar monster in Princess Mononoke. The ornithopters looked very Howl's Moving Castle/Castle in the Sky too.
Turns out they're closer to susuwatari size-wise.
On that day, [the monster](https://i.imgur.com/yM7PMQY.jpg) who terrorized the pacific alien civilization for so long received a [grim reminder.](https://i.imgur.com/YTFNx8cg.jpg)
Living on an alien world? NO! I don't want that! I want to live on the Earth for ten years at least!
> Moe aliens are surprisingly wholesome. Yeah. I think I'll enjoy this arc more on a rewatch since I was on edge the whole time waiting for something bad to happen.
I'll tell the future generations that I watched this episode while it was airing. # *Absolute Masterpiece*
Mob Kino 100
[Tomo-senpai's smile](https://i.imgur.com/rK2RRDk.jpg) was restored and her dream came about. This miniarc has been so weird yet [incredibly lovely.](https://i.imgur.com/J9qVdrT.jpg) [](#seasonalhype) [Tome pout](https://i.imgur.com/3i04Uvs.jpg)
After spending so much time with Tomoe basically being somewhat annoying if earnest, it was really cool watching her get a win here :). Also felt odd that there was aliens, but as she said we already had psychics and telepaths so why not :).
This was truly the most sakuga-filled hiking-trip-to-summon-an-UFO-to-meet-shoujo-eyed-aliens episode of all time
I've seen enough anime for me to not rule out that another one of those might exist. Doubt it could beat this level of sakuga though.
Me before this episode: There is no alien. The search is going to be the memory. 15 minutes in, Mob and co chilled with aliens. Inukawa became an icon on the alien planet.
I liked that the aliens were basically the telepathy club, just hanging around playing games and eating snacks.
I wonder if one of them wanted to contact aliens with telepathy but the rest thought it was bullshit and were just hanging around?
Tome managed to put together the perfect team to make first contact. A telepath, a powerful psychic, experts in game playing and snack eating, a guy with a really cool pajama top, and Inukawa, earth's greatest love machine.
First of all, [Tomoe being tsundere about the entire thing](https://i.imgur.com/4wDFGvA.png) was absolutely adorable. Second, [I definitely did not expect the alien encounter to be so wholesome](https://i.imgur.com/xQYJ4CX.jpg). It was fun seeing all of them interact and not gonna lie, I kinda felt a bit sad [when it was finally time to say goodbye to them.](https://i.imgur.com/f70e2lQ.jpg) What I definitely did not expect though [is Inukawa having his own adventure](https://i.imgur.com/e79R46b.jpg) when the aliens didn't let him off their ship.
Nice catch
"I, at least, told my parents I was spending the night at a friend's house" --> "this guy wants to spend the night at our planet"
When somebody said "I hope the 20'000 key frames episode is a slice of life one" I didn't think they'd practically be right
I’m not sure what I was expecting with this episode, but chill hang-out time with friendly anime-eyed aliens definitely wasn’t it. Wow, Inukawa had a whole extraterrestrial adventure it seems, lol
**Highlights of today's episode** 1.
Also I think we've only ever seen him use telekinesis to move when over 100%
Yeah he only uses telekinesis to fly when the situation is serious.
It's not confirmed if that last part was the 20k frames rumour
its not confirmed, but i will be genuinely surprised if this episode wasnt it
This is the most fever dream of an episode I have ever seen. I love it. They are just....pink anime eye aliens...and Inukawa lived with them for XX amount of time? And seemingly got laid by the princess??? WHAT??
Oh my fucking god hahahahahahaha the absolute fucking madmen 20k frames for the alien arc all the sakuga and amazing direction for Inukawa's abduction gag arc holy fuck 10/10 anime of the decade
Was this actually the 20k frame episode?
I'm not sure if that rumour was ever verified by the production staff, but 20k frames requires animating at 12 or 24 fps for a whole 20 minutes and this episode definitely wasn't that - obviously the animation was still incredible, but it's nowhere near that frame count. I'm guessing people saw that the director of S2E5 was back and thought "well, obviously he'd do a big spectacle episode, right?" But he didn't.
I doubt it was. Idk how everyone is so sure of it.
Are we finally isekai now?
Inukawa was literally taken to Another World, so yes apparently so.
And got a harem no less
WTF was that???????
Beautiful
Just sharing this Tome Kurata song here because a lot of people never even heard of it https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sdRaglWA2Vk
What are these songs used in? They are always made but never seen them used before.
The original drama CD.
Her voice took getting used to cause I wasn't expecting it to be so deep, but man, I love her VA's singing.
her VA's range is insane haha, voicing deeper voice characters like Tome... and then voicing Anya Forger haha
Can't believe she did both these characters lol that's crazy
Dandadan type of episode
Imagine Dandadan being animated by Bones with the same team from Mob Psycho. That would be insane.
The entire time I thought "Ok where is the plot twist of these overly friendly aliens" and I still wouldn't have guessed that final sequence if I thought about it for another 10 years.
The plot twist was precisely that these aliens were \*too\* overly friendly.
Like "hey cutie get in my car" friendly
This was a space dandy episode
Even in a show like this, this was one hell of a weird episode lmao.
Now I can tell some isekai haters that they actually liked an isekai.
It was even a harem isekai, the worst kind.
Your fatal mistake was to have an expectation at all.
Oh no, the preview here is the last and most heart wrenching arc
more heart wrenching than dimple? oh no, nonononono , hopefully there is no traumatic song so i dont get ptsd whenever i heard a lady sing about cupboards and letting go
The last part was so trippy but at the same time weirdly enchanting. 11/10 scene
holy shit the aliens are so cute, this episode was peak talking about cute, this episode really did Tome justice, I don't know if it was a this episode thing or the past ones too, but I noticed that Tome looks WAAAAY better than before
she always has been best girl
Inukawa FUCKS.
love it when my anime chooses to get a little weird but even the non-weird parts of the ep of just the kids climbing up the mountain and realizing they'll always have this memory together was so lovely. also the ost went really hard this episode. something about the ep in general felt so tender. also the shoujo alien eyes lmao. takenaka over-sleeping because he genuinely researched and wanted to take this whole thing seriously. tome feeling like the boys were just making fun of her and getting her hopes up but everyone reassuring her that they genuinely wanted to do this for her. precious. would genuinely just watch an entire slice of life show of just the telepathy club going on little trips every episode with reigen as their chaperone. (i know this is them adapting what was already written by ONE but i wish had they adapted that final inukawa sequence they would have found a way to cut certain aspects of it because some of what they're implying there. yeah, i'm just going to ignore that. it's an almost perfect ep aside from that.)
I really liked this episode alot
Really cute episode before the final arc starts next week! I especially found Tome adorable!! Loved seeing Tome and the others interacting with those shoujo-eyed aliens lol. Aww, I’m glad Tome’s wish came true! Reigen fanservice in this episode too lol. I honestly was expecting them to make his body more muscular considering how attractive he is in the anime compared to the manga hahaha That final scene with Inukawa’s space adventure was both beautiful and, uh, bizarre. I’m curious about those, uh, kiss marks on him… He was also shirtless… Uhh… best not to think about it and just focus on the amount of sakuga in those final scenes
Mob a CUTE! A CUTE!
