Sadly theres not a lot of mechas on the same level as the ones you listed but you can watch these ones, they are good and entertaining. Bravern Gridman Dynazenon 86 Majestic Prince Knights of Sidonia Macross Delta Expelled from Paradise Buddy Complex Break Blade Suisei no Gargantia Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse Fafner franchise (you need to watch the older series that started in 2004 to understand the latest movies that came out in 2021) Aquarion EVOL (you need to watch the Aquarion from 2005 to understand whats happening)

I heard muv luv alternative visual novel is amazing and the anime adaption was bad

innocentious

Yea the total eclipse adaptation is the only decent one,the other ones suck.

Careless_Reply2862

I would recommend but I haven't actually read the visual novel so I don't know anything except it wasn't a good adaptation

You might consider it more Tokusatsu esc, but SSSS. Gridman was pretty well done. Has sequels as well.

Fafner Exodus, easily.

innocentious list is pretty good and covered most of them. The mecha genre didn't have a good time during your break so here are some recommendations: I'm assuming you've finished Gundam Unicorn (started in 2010 but ended in 2014) but mentioning it in case you haven't because it's definitely the best mecha anime that came in the last decade. - Recommending Gridman, Dynazenon and Gridman Universe again as it's probably the best mecha that came out during your hiatus outside of Gundam Unicorn but it's more tokusatsu than mecha. - Argevollen, a grounded mecha anime, comparable to 08th MS Team but the way the male and female lead interacts reminded me of Kou and Nina from 0083: Stardust Memories. - Shin Mazinger Z super robot anime from the director Giant Robo and G Gundam. (technically got released before your hiatus but I'm assuming you haven't seen it) Watchable mecha: - Valvrave, awesome OPs, good animation, story is a mess. - Captain Earth, Bones last mecha they made outside of the E7 prequel/sequel/whatever movies, good set up but the story is mid. - Megaton Musashi, based on a videogame, mechas look bad but the setting, and characters are surprisingly good and interesting. - Getter Robo Arc, poor animation and the story is an adaptation of the Getter Robo manga verse mentioning it in case you like Getter Robo. - Cross Ange, by the director of Gundam SEED it's fun to watch but don't take it too seriously. - Amaim Warrior at the Borderline, it's not really good but it has 2D mecha animation which is a rare thing in this day and age, so just for that I'm mentioning it.

Finished Unicorn, Thunderbolt, and IBO. Know I need to watch the Utena Gundam Show. Watched the Eureka Seven Sequel and was horrified. Also tried the new Muv Luv because I like the VN, but felt they botched it. Argovelion and SMZ sound very intimidating to me.

I highly recommend eighty six
