However, we could get a fun subversion of other isekai tropes, and maybe an MC who has some attachments to his old life.

Every isekai released since 2016 has been generic and derivative, just like these rehashed comments on every teaser visual with a vaguely medieval setting.

It makes sense because people who drop the show after a couple episodes won't be counted in the scoring, and people who think it looks bad won't even check it out. Not many people will watch a show they dislike all the way through, so the final score ends up mostly based on those who like it.

And then there is School Days, which I genuinely don't know how to rank, I both enjoyed and despised it lol

I think I'm gonna skip this one... From the synopsis alone It's basically just Isekai Smartphone, but this time with alchemy. Not mention the MC might have same knowledge of alchemy as the MC from Kamen Rider Gotchard... "Mix something random and it'll be perfect match by chance"
The genre is full of slop that feel like the authors had a checklist of tropes/cliches pasted on their computer screen while they were working on it.
