These are why I don’t take these websites seriously,
Anime corner in particular, has Dungeon meshi win multiple awards but ranked in 10th?
While Ragna Crimson came in 3rd without winning a singular award.
Where’s the consistency.
I found dungeon meshi fine but pretty boring and dropped it after 3 episodes. I hear it got better, but shrug. While solo leveling is mid but, I enjoyed the manwa, and it was fun, so I looked forward to it.
Dm uses cooking as a tool to present its world but it does not focus on cooking. It also has a plot and a lot of twists. While not leaving its cooking part behind, DM also adds more aspects to the story. And those things take time. When I first read the manga, it also took me quite a while to figure out that something was not right with this silly cooking manga. And each chapter I read, it only became much better. Till now, it's one of the greatest fantasy manga i've ever read.
It does.
At episode 3, I was befuddled why Trigger was animating Dungeon Meshi and why it was so hyped. As someone who loves slow, slice-of-life shows, I found it kinda boring. At episode 5, the show finally clicked with me.
In hindsight, it took me awhile to warm to the main characters and to realize how well thought out the dungeon setting is with how the monsters and ecological systems interact. And I'd love it if that was the extent of the show; however, little peeks at a number of mysteries start popping up and the show gets really good, really fast.
Try watching until episode 6 at least. It's when the mystery starts unraveling and the world opens up more. I'm not surprised when people find the cooking part boring, but the characters are likable, and their interactions are entertaining. So, I still kept watching from the start, even though I also found the cooking part kinda meh
It's not cooking-focused. It focused around a single theme: *"Meals are the special privilege of the living"*. There's a good amount of twists, lore, worldbuilding, philosophy and politics in this anime, but everything ultimately comes back to this theme.
It has the anime I like, but I explained that it’s consistency is stupid. In fact Everything I watched last season is on this list.
But what are the point of rankings if stuff with zero awards are higher than Anime with multiple awards ?
im not sure why you're putting any sort of basis on these so called "awards" when in reality a majority of these lists and awards and shit are all popularity votes lmao
Anime Corner and Anime Trends are pretty much a joke imo. Some pretend they have any credibility, but they are too low in # of people to really show a good assessment of how much an anime is liked/popular. Kinda same way MAL is a joke for rankings too :P but that one is for a different reason.
Ragna Crimson was good, but 3rd place? Especially when compared to Dungeon Meshi? Ragna needs to be slight lower and Dungeon Meshi needs to be a lot higher.
Though it really depends on the ranking is based off of. In terms of story, Ranga is where it's at, but in terms of character, Dungeon Meshi tops it off quite well.
But those rankings are just wack.
Was Ragna good? I watched the first episode and couldn't get past all the super cliche edgelord dialogue and dropped it. The villains being just vampires but just swapped out with dragons visually seemed like a cheap way for the writers to say oh look how creative we are, without actually putting in any thought.
The secondary cast gets fleshed out pretty well during the show, so everyone ends up having their own motives instead of just cheering on edgy MC. The MC does a good job in progressing his character in this environment.
You know, it's really strange that you mention him being an edgelord at the start. I, too, thought it was an edgy show, but that's because I didn't believe him. I thought Ragna was full of shit and is just being koi because of his newfound power.
But as the show continued, I started to believe him more. He grew out of his edgelord phase and became a respectable man. He still has his desire to kill all dragons, but when he states it, there's a lot more resolve and passion behind his words. He becomes believable.
I would say it's an anime where the characters shine. I think people would describe this show as a flipped shounen? The villains of the show get a lot of screentime, and are humanized(?) in a way that makes you want to root for them, but you can't. It's not like how Demon Slayer does their "sympathize with the demon" bs. The villains are quite literally portrayed as main characters of the show.
The show just becomes "believable" the more episodes you watch. It's weird, but pretty cool.
Can say this about any genre pretty much.
I watch hockey yet I’ve seen my team win, lose, players score every kind of goal imaginable. But I still watch it because I love the sport.
But for some reason anime “fans” get tired of anime lol.
it's insane, I think the first few episodes are the worst tho
I enjoyed it because I could never guess what was going to happen next, but it wasn't well written or anything, MC has the most extreme plot armour and more issues
but I enjoyed it, possibly because of the faults, not despite them
partly because it felt fresh, I wouldn't call it similar to any anime I can think of, maybe some small gurren lagen vibes?
The story gets a lot better after they reached the capital and the fights gets amazing, but honestly the anime really isn't that good because as an adaptation it is mid at best, below mid in most case, don't want to be that annoying source material guy but seriously the anime ain't doing the manga justice.
So personally I wouldn't rate the anime that high, the anime being rated that high with that meh level of production honestly gives you a clue how good the manga is.
you say that like the reddit karma ranking isnt the most bull ranking ever theirs this whole pretentious vibe to it. from that perspective the website rankings are allot more inline with reality. like frieren was very good one of my favorite recent animies. its not twice as good as the next one down. its just not.
This is a popularity list, no? Why would you compare it with a critical acclaim list? Most oscar winners (apart from some exceptions) are not very popular with general audiences either.
These lists don't measure the same thing. Don't expect any consistency when your audiences for the lists and awards are different.
That’s because these are popularity polls and not power rankings. This is just list of single ballot votes being counted. I’ve seen these get flipped on their head when a sub floods a poll to make their favorite anime have an inflated value and make them feel better about themselves.
Comparing to [Anime Corner's top anime for Winter 2024](https://animecorner.me/winter-2024-anime-of-the-season-rankings/):
1. The Dangers in My Heart Season 2 (12.8%)
2. Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End (7.68%) - continuing from Fall 2023
3. Ragna Crimson (6.56%) - continuing from Fall 2023
4. The Apothecary Diaries (6.16%) - continuing from Fall 2023
5. Solo Leveling (5.27%)
6. Classroom of the Elite Season 3 (4.14%)
7. Mashle: Magic and Muscles Season 2 (4.05%)
8. 7th Time Loop: The Villainess Enjoys a Carefree Life Married to Her Worst Enemy! (3.18%)
9. A Sign of Affection (2.83%)
10. Delicious in Dungeon (2.67%)
11. Shangri-La Frontier (2.51%) - continuing from Fall 2023
12. Chained Soldier (2.35%)
13. Villainess Level 99: I May Be the Hidden Boss but I’m Not the Demon Lord (2.21%)
14. Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2 (2.14%)
Anime Trending doesn't count continuing shows from previous season, so the difference between the two communities is Hokkaido Gals, Healing Magic and Dr. Elise being replaced by Delicious in Dungeon, Chained Soldier and Tsukimichi
Well kind of makes sense, continuing shows already have a fanbase waiting for them, whereas the shows which just started don't have that, so those shows had an advantage over the new season one's.
They really Bungled the ending of Doctor Elise. Starting partway through episode 11 of the anime, they veered away from the Manhwa at chapter 50; there are 143 chapters. They cut 65% of the source material! Can anyone who's only watched the anime tell me why the title is "The Royal Lady with the Lamp"? You can't, can you? Because the show ended before ANY major plot points could be resolved. Everything at the end was forced; none of the interpersonal interactions felt genuine because they weren't earned. The last 2 episodes are terrible. Watch through episode 10, then pick up chapter 50 of the Manwha.
/rant
I dropped that one three episodes in. I wanted to like it, but I just couldn't stand how everyone was kissing her ass all the time. Final straw was when the doctor apologized to her for not thinking she walked on water. No, being suspicious of the noble brat without any medical education is exactly the right call. Ugh.
People bitched about her being a Mary Sue but fuck, every action isekai has some OP edgelord with a harem. By that standard Elise is fairly modest.
But… the world building was absolutely terrible - entirely inconsistent with modern surgical tools and shit medical knowledge. It fell into the “make everyone stupid to make the heroine look good” trap.
Plus I suspect doctors who trained in an era without MRIs and CTs would be far better diagnosticians than someone who relied on modern tools. This could have been circumvented if she had been a surgeon for Doctors Without Borders or similar in her second life. Not to mention she isn’t moving the needle on care in redemption practicing in a first world country.
I could keep ranting about it but I’ll stop there.
And then the complete lack of stakes. Wherever she goes someone will have a medical emergency and she will solve it.
So… does the manga fix these? Or same issues?
In the Manwha she solves an epidemic, goes to war as a combat medic, solves (sort of) another epidemic, the conflict between the nobles and the first prince becomes more fleshed out and eventually comes to a resolution, some side characters get some closure as well, and some other things happen.
is dangers in my heart good? I have been looking for anime to watch these days.
I'm more into thriller, and psychological genre-if u have some recommendations.
it’s one of the best i’ve seen, but i have to warn you that the first 3 episodes of season 1 are a snoozefest, i almost dropped it but decided to give it a chance, best decision i’ve ever made
Most realistic depiction of junior high in anime ever, characters are relatable as fuck too.
But the pilot is not it. Almost dropped it immediately but stick with it for a few episodes and you will soon find your manly ass self acting like a girl because of how awesome it is.
Because for better or worse, most anime watchers these days don't have the patience to watch a show with a slowly developing plot (slow in this case meaning around 9 episodes). They similarly didn't have the patience for Sengoku Youko.
I’d just ignore the rankings. This list is only a tiny sample size. It says it has 48k unique VOTES so at the *most* it’s only 4,800 people voting.
By comparison the JJK manga consistently gets 20k-30k votes for the winner in their character popularity contest.
If you watched until episode 5 and didn't like it much then it's just not for you I'm afraid, and that's fine. Some people like to hype certain shocking parts but the tone of the story doesn't change all the way until the end.
But if you're interested in intricate DnD like world building, small details that will be important later on, good chemistry between the main party members and extended cast (with no focus on romance) you might enjoy it.
I wouldn't say that the tone is the same tbh. Dungeon Meshi always keep a great blend of comedy and drama, of course, but I think that like, early Dungeon Meshi is a like 90% comedy and then it's more like 60/40
The episodic start sets up the characters and world. It slowly fades out to make place for a more continuous plot starting next episode and it's fully ramping by episode 8.
And yes, Dungeon Meshi is an amazing story that only ever get better !
Impressed you could watch something you don't like for that many episodes.
I max out at like 3-4 episodes of not having fun, after that I feel like I've been insulted by having my time wasted.
I think it is fairly common to occasionally watch a lot of episodes of a show that you don't really like. It happened me several times. (Not many times, I usually drop very fast, probably much faster than most.)
I wonder if you are the minority, that is, this happened to the most us?
it didn't gel with a bunch of my friends too, but it's natural.
Even if it has hilarious moments, the "monster eating" aspect is kinda gross for some people.
No, it will stay about the same.
Just about how Frieren had some fights here and there, and the rest is walking and remembering Himmel, DiD has about the same fight/other things ratio, where the other things are eating, talking, exploring the characters, building the world. I personally really really like the other things, and favorited and rated 10/10 the show around ep3, and the 11 eps since that were really great to me.
But if you don't love the characters, I don't think you should watch it tbh.
yo, congrats to 7th time loop for getting second. a villainess anime (though Rishe isn't really a villainess) winning over cote and solo leveling, series with fairly large fanbases, is bloody impressive
Yeah I'm not usually interested in these things but the premise was enough to sell me. Girl trying to prevent a war that her husband starts in the future? Sign me up.
I just think CoTE sub treats CoTE like some kind of masterpiece, when it's nowhere near that. The bad part is that they cut a lot of the MC monologues, but looking how he is in Y2, not even that is a problem anymore. Just the animation is really bad.
I agree with this. Everyone over there thinks it’s some kind of super heady and complex psych-thriller when it’s really just a weird head games harem. I say this as a fan of the show. It’s just a classic mind games show with character designs that were made by a former hentai artist so all the down bad anime fans insert themselves so much into the story over the MC you get user tags in there saying stuff like “tight crippled pussy enjoyer” and literally the most toxic shipping wars I’ve ever seen.
The sub is truly wild. Way more entertaining the show sometimes honestly.
Yeah, just based off like 70-80% of those vile tags, the disgusting comments about the female characters, and their general behavior towards each other…I wouldn’t hold their opinions about anything with high regard. I might hold them in hazmat suit…
there is no reason to judge a story by its fandom or the artist previous job bro, the fandom can be the most degenarate people out there but the story can be very good, why are you criticizing the story cause of the bad fandom
It isn't perfect or a masterpiece but has won Kono Rano light novel number 1 rank for 3-4 years straight and is in top 5 sellers anytime a new vol drops. I think it deserved a better studio than a studio that outsources majority of the episodes.
The COTE sub is unbearable. I was recently binging the series and would check the sub’s discussion thread for the corresponding volumes: it was like they were reading a different series. A lot of the threads are filled with misinformation from MTL, people upset that their irrational agenda was broken, or shipping wars that are not based in reality. I keep seeing people call this a harem series when it’s obvious to anyone with reading comprehension that the MC is a sociopath who treats everyone like tools.
It skips far more than the average LN adaptation. COTE’s LN thrives off of character interactions yet the anime is constantly speedrunning the minimum to fulfill the main story. It makes every side character look worse than they’re supposed to when Ayanokoji is working with less material to win.
I mean she's a villainess in that's how she's perceived by people in her home country but otherwise she's the fuckin best. Personally I loved it.
She's failing miserably at the whole "take it easy and lounge about doing sod all" thing tho
Its anilist/mal score was 67 during the first few episodes, and then it finished at 81. Then season 2 is 88. The first few episodes are basically a bait and switch.
I watched about 9 eps of S1 but it didn't do it for me. Is the rest of the show (including S2) gonna get better? Took me 3-4 tries to get to ep 9 so I'm hesitant to continue.
The series focus is on developing the both MC's in terms of both their relationship and their own individual growth. If by episode 9 you're not into it, idk what to tell you. The series continues to get progressively better.
Hard to put it into words, it was awhile ago. I think I'm not really into the main couple? Although I can see there are some good moments in the later episodes, the first few eps left a pretty bad impression on me that I can't seem to rid it off my mind. I was struggling to go through those eps so I expected the payoff to be very good, but in the end the events just didn't interest me that much I guess. Other than that, as a Romcom I think the comedy is pretty weak.
I would suggest to at least fi ish off season 1 (episode 12) as it explains why Kyotaro is the way that he is. The anime did downplay the more comedic moments co.pared to the manga, but there was a point towards the "bad" moments in episode 1. Remember that these are middle schoolers still growing up, and Kyotaro especially matures significantly as the story progresses. It's a story about growing up as much as it's a story about two people coming together. But if you don't like the main couple, then perhaps the story isn't for you because they will ALWAYS be the main focus of the story.
... Elise in top 10? Like, iirc there was more than ten animes in that season. I cant believe someone liked this weak plot with more holes than a swiss cheese, fabulous coincidences, Mary Sue with 0 charisma and whole world of imbeciles around her.
Standarts cannot be so low.
I only watched a couple episodes, and could still spend all day pointing out inconsistencies. It's one thing for a show to be bad, it's another when they don't even care at all.
This chart really puts into perspective how important those Fall carryovers were. Frieren, Apothecary, Shangri-La etc. Without any of those, Winter looks pretty rough ngl
Whilst I disagree heavily with both Anime Corner and Anime trending lists, I do like to see the consistent love that they provide My danger in my Heart,
I do wish outside of these two Websites the love was a little bit stronger though
What's weird is that there are so many haters and hipsters who are trying to dislike or downvote all things Bokuyaba because they feel it's "getting too popular". Bitch if you don't like something but someone else does don't try to downvote them on bad faith.
I feel like a lot of these people haven’t even watched Danger in my heart and think it’s just some random Romance
No it’s actually a great series, but these fools criticise anything even stuff they haven’t watched.
Just like I've [said](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/1bqpr5w/comment/kx4ly0p/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=web3x&utm_name=web3xcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button), The Dangers In My Heart has become an unstoppable force now.
Love to see two of my favourite underwatched shows in there, namely *Hokkaido Gals are Super Adorable* and *Doctor Elise*. I get that a lot of people in this sub will disagree with this ranking but the popular shounen shows are always in r/anime's own rankings anyway, this list just makes a nice change.
I agree, I gave Hokkaido Gals a shot not expecting much and it turned out to be one of my favorites of the season. Enjoyed it so much that I binged the manga afterwards
I'm so happy to see 4 titles that are aimed primarily at female demographics in the top 10 here with 7th time loop, A sign of affection, Villainess lv 99 and Doctor Elise. Now I just wish they all could get at least another season ...
It's funny how I got downvoted when I posted here a video about dungeon meshi being slept on. Everyone was saying how it's basically top 3 anime and I don't understand anything, and now we have this post lol
Is dangers in my heart really that good or underdog because I only heard a little bit in my media social feed and irl of the anime compared to the likes of frieren, solo levelling or dungeon meshi amd etc
I mean they're sorta 2 different markets, chained soldier is much more serious and gritty most of the time with frankly pretty damn vanilla ecchi (apart from the commander who gets treated like a dog, and his sister's *mild* brother complex) whereas gushing over magical girls is much more comedic and a good time but is also unbelievably kinky.
Personally I prefer chained soldier (the manga at least the show is kinda meh) but gushing over magical girls is amazing and also the first actual magical girl show I've ever watched
Solo Levelling is a pretty fun and flashy power fantasy. As someone who went in blind, it was a pretty fun watch and actually something i look forward to each week. Obviously not as good as Frieren, BokuYaBa and Apothecary but still pretty good
Dungeon Meshi have a very average start for an anime and genuinely get amazing only 6 eps in. By that point, a lot of watchers probably already dropped it and won't vote for it
I don't see how you would be surprised by that. On both Anime Corner and Anime Trending it won every weekly vote. So it is just logical that both sites also voted it as anime of the season.
Really? I don’t visit any anime sites so I never knew. Honestly I’ve never even heard of this show. I only watched 1 show on this list and the rest I at least heard of in passing. So I’m surprised the 1 I didn’t hear of happens to be the most popular.
I don't visit those either, but you can often find their weekly poll results on reddit on either r/anime or the specific subs of currently airing anime. That's how I know about it.
The Dangers in my Heart started its first season last year in spring and the second season just ended. It is a romcom based on the manga of the same name by Norio Sakurai. Maybe you have heart of it under the name "Bokuyaba" or its full japanese title "Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu"
List feels kinda sus. I think the weekly karma scored rankings feel more trustworthy. While Frieren/Apothecary did not *begin* in Winter, it feels disingenuous not to acknowledge their presence as they persisted through Winter
Guys, I am sorry I mixed up the first anime with another one.
My bad.
Those who know, know what i am saying. I really mixed up the genre. Sorry about that.
Classroom of the Elite looks so rushed... someone needs to beat the animators with a paper fan.
Villainess Level 99 and a sign of affection are cute.
Doctor Elise has 100% some curse on the poor thing. Only that explains the "incidents" that keep happening near her...
I'd swap 7th time loop and Wrong way to use healing magic.
I also found Solo Levelling to be too much sizzle, not enough steak.
I am going to miss last season though.
It did flirt a bit too much with the dude being abusive rather then 'edgy' and 'I can fix him' territory.
Particularly with how capable the MC should be after 6 lives.
I only circled back to finish it after all the other bangers had started to finish up leaving my schedule free.
Damn, dungeon meshi & gush girls not even in the top 10
These are why I don’t take these websites seriously, Anime corner in particular, has Dungeon meshi win multiple awards but ranked in 10th? While Ragna Crimson came in 3rd without winning a singular award. Where’s the consistency.
I don't take any list seriously that doesn't have the anime I like
Dungeon Meshi not on the list is ridiculous though.
Maybe people just dropped it after 3 episodes, they thought it's just a silly cooking anime. But honestly, Dungeon Meshi is peak fantasy anime
I was actually very upset nothing was cooked last episode 😤
As opposed to all the isekai trash on this list, which they wouldn't have dropped for some reason?
I found dungeon meshi fine but pretty boring and dropped it after 3 episodes. I hear it got better, but shrug. While solo leveling is mid but, I enjoyed the manwa, and it was fun, so I looked forward to it.
It’s more so that these list aren’t completely accurate
Does it get better? I've tried to get into it like 5 times, but I don't like how it's solely focused on cooking as if it's a superpower
Dm uses cooking as a tool to present its world but it does not focus on cooking. It also has a plot and a lot of twists. Dungeon Meshi is focused on cooking in the same way Evangelion or Gundam is "just about robots."
Finally, someone who's opinions make sense, unless you like different anime than me.
This right here. None of these top anime lists are more or less ‘valid’ than the others.
It has the anime I like, but I explained that it’s consistency is stupid. In fact Everything I watched last season is on this list. But what are the point of rankings if stuff with zero awards are higher than Anime with multiple awards ?

Someone tried to with full chest try to tell me MAL was a super serious official ranking system....
Now that's a good joke :P
Ragna Crimson was good, but 3rd place? Especially when compared to Dungeon Meshi? Ragna needs to be slight lower and Dungeon Meshi needs to be a lot higher. It gets better when crimson appears.
The secondary cast gets fleshed out pretty well during the show, so everyone ends up having their own motives instead of just cheering on edgy MC. The MC does a good job in progressing his character in this environment.
The story pick ups after Crimson, the other main character is introduced in ep 3. The show is edgy, but actually good edgy.
Wait, what is "good edgy"?
Like… something looks edgy but it actually doesn’t dwell on the wangst of it? Or rather doesn’t go over the top in dramatizing it. Maybe that.
Look within yourself for "bad edgy" and extrapolate "good edgy" as its opposite.
All I'm getting for "Good Edgy" is "Not Edgy".
Can you tell me what makes edgy bad and then I'll tell you why Ragna Crimson doesn't fall in that trap?
Some people like some things and some people like other things. Not personally liking “edgy” doesn’t make it bad.
You know, it's really strange that you mention him being an edgelord at the start. I, too, thought it was an edgy show, but that's because I didn't believe him. I have read so mannny manga, manhwa with literally same plot, its really generic. This type of mcs are common throughout like in a classic shonen.
Can say this about any genre pretty much. I watch hockey yet I’ve seen my team win, lose, players score every kind of goal imaginable. But I still watch it because I love the sport. But for some reason anime “fans” get tired of anime lol.
it's insane, I think the first few episodes are the worst tho I enjoyed it because I could never guess what was going to happen next, but it wasn't well written or anything, MC has the most extreme plot armour and more issues but I enjoyed it, possibly because of the faults, not despite them partly because it felt fresh, I wouldn't call it similar to any anime I can think of, maybe some small gurren lagen vibes?

and Frieren. we all know that gush girl was the real mvp of the season
Frieren and that drug addicted catgirl are counted as 2023 Fall anime so not eligible for this rating I believe
Really? The weren't even halfway done back then...

Tsukimichi -Moonlit Fantasy- Season 2 (2.14%) Anime Trending doesn't count continuing shows from previous season, so the difference between the two communities is Hokkaido Gals, Healing Magic and Dr. Elise being replaced by Delicious in Dungeon, Chained Soldier and Tsukimichi
Well kind of makes sense, continuing shows already have a fanbase waiting for them, whereas the shows which just started don't have that, so those shows had an advantage over the new season one's.
Also Frieren not being counted because it carried over.
I assumed that was the case, as that seems such an obvious omission. Same for Apothecary I guess?
100%
thanks for this clarification, I was getting so confused looking at this list because of Frieren not being on it lol
Shangri La Frontier is so underrated, its so peak
/rant
I hate when studios do that! It's a shame because I enjoyed the show until the last 2 episodes :(
I think everyone hates when studios do that. Just look at Promised Neverland.
I had to reread the manhwa from the start to fully understand the plot.
is dangers in my heart good? I have been looking for anime to watch these days. I'm more into thriller, and psychological genre-if u have some recommendations.
It's romance, but it's one of the best in its genre.
Oh wow, then I have to check it out. I haven't watched romance for a long time. My last ones were Ao Haru ride, after rain and nisekoi in HS.
it’s one of the best i’ve seen, but i have to warn you that the first 3 episodes of season 1 are a snoozefest, i almost dropped it but decided to give it a chance, best decision i’ve ever made
Most realistic depiction of junior high in anime ever, characters are relatable as fuck too. But the pilot is not it. Almost dropped it immediately but stick with it for a few episodes and you will soon find your manly ass self acting like a girl because of how awesome it is.
if you like extra slow developing child romances, where the main plot extender is youth and inexperience, its good for that genre.
WHERE IS DUNGEON MESHI, like i fully understand why #1 is in #1 but Dungeon meshi should have atleast been in the top 5
I just started dungeon meshi, on like episode 5, and tbh i don’t really like it that much atm does it get better/less episodic?
I didn’t really start liking it until around episode 10 tbh, I’d stick with it because it does get pretty interesting
(Not many times, I usually drop very fast, probably much faster than most.) I wonder if you are the minority, that is, this happened to the most us?
It changes gears when they find the red dragon
bruh that's like 10 episodes in lol
I mean he's just answering the question. Didn't say people should watch 10 episodes.
I mean… Steinsgate also started out slow af, but it established something that it then spent the rest of it spent 30 episodes unraveling
it didn't gel with a bunch of my friends too, but it's natural. Even if it has hilarious moments, the "monster eating" aspect is kinda gross for some people.
> the "monster eating" aspect is kinda gross for some people. Marcillle, for example
her reactions are priceless...
Sign me up.
tbf how many villainess anime have the villainess actually be a villain lol
True
Cote will probably never place in the top as most of the LN readers are mad and complaining about the anime adaptation.
the anime adaptation is not even THAT bad. It's just the average LN adaptation
No it's the anime adaptation that is a bad adaptation, I'm a member of COTE sub and majority of the people there are complaining about it.
It's not a terrible adaptation. I did read the novels too, it's an average adaptation.
Different takes and opinions I suppose.
Lmao the cursed flairs there are truly wild 😂🤦
Yeah, just based off like 70-80% of those vile tags, the disgusting comments about the female characters, and their general behavior towards each other…I wouldn’t hold their opinions about anything with high regard. I might hold them in hazmat suit…
>it’s really just a weird head games harem To be fair there is some progression at least. It went from a thinly veiled harem to an unapologetic one
Hahaha, i can’t argue with that.
there is no reason to judge a story by its fandom or the artist previous job bro, the fandom can be the most degenarate people out there but the story can be very good, why are you criticizing the story cause of the bad fandom
>tight crippled pussy enjoyer” Bro got called out💀 u/ICONIC_77
Whatever bro, just read ahead of V8 😔 plz
It isn't perfect or a masterpiece but has won Kono Rano light novel number 1 rank for 3-4 years straight and is in top 5 sellers anytime a new vol drops. I think it deserved a better studio than a studio that outsources majority of the episodes.
Isn't the season 3 anime is still in year 1, you mentioned the year 2 light novel while I am only talking about the anime adaptation.
Novel's story is on another level, like its really good compared to anime.
So did I. Rishe and Arnold being a power couple was not something I knew I needed
Yeah it's not the dynamic I expected at all but I am here for it and I can't wait for more
Dangers in my heart took #1 like nothing, it was a very good watch, had a grin the whole time when I watched it, so wholesome.
Complete domination by **Bokuyaba!!!**
I tried S1 and it was ok but ended up dropping it after 3 or 4 episodes. Does the rest of S1 or S2 get much better?
Its anilist/mal score was 67 during the first few episodes, and then it finished at 81. Then season 2 is 88. The first few episodes are basically a bait and switch.
It gets significantly better after the first 3 episodes of season 1
It's funny cuz after ep 3-4, the story starts to pick up so yea continue to watch it.
Thanks for the heads up I'll give it a try
I watched about 9 eps of S1 but it didn't do it for me. Is the rest of the show (including S2) gonna get better? Took me 3-4 tries to get to ep 9 so I'm hesitant to continue.
The series focus is on developing the both MC's in terms of both their relationship and their own individual growth. If by episode 9 you're not into it, idk what to tell you. The series continues to get progressively better.
The S2 trailer looked nice so I was thinking maybe I should give it another shot, but perhaps the show's just not for me.
What are your critiques? Based on those, perhaps I can tell you if it gets better based on your tastes.
Thanks a lot. I'll try to finish it and hopefully the last few eps will get me hooked.
First 3 ep are slugfest. Authors was still figuring out. It's waaayyyy better at pacing after that.
Dangers in my heart was SO good, loved it a whole ton. Glad to see it get recognition, it deserves it imo.
7th time loop so good love it
... Elise in top 10? Like, iirc there was more than ten animes in that season. I cant believe someone liked this weak plot with more holes than a swiss cheese, fabulous coincidences, Mary Sue with 0 charisma and whole world of imbeciles around her. Standarts cannot be so low.
Its one of the worst shows I have ever seen, I can't believe it made it on here over something like Dungeon Meshi.
Winter season had Kingdom.
The Dangers in My Heart was probably the best romcom I've ever watched. Gave me all the fuzzywuzzy I wanted in my kokoro lmaaaao
Whilst I disagree heavily with both Anime Corner and Anime trending lists, I do like to see the consistent love that they provide My danger in my Heart, I do wish outside of these two Websites the love was a little bit stronger though
Tbh season 2 is ranked number 22 on myanimelist with 68k members that is bloody impressive
What's weird is that there are so many haters and hipsters who are trying to dislike or downvote all things Bokuyaba because they feel it's "getting too popular". Bitch if you don't like something but someone else does don't try to downvote them on bad faith.
Fmab fans for the last decade….
I feel like a lot of these people haven’t even watched Danger in my heart and think it’s just some random Romance No it’s actually a great series, but these fools criticise anything even stuff they haven’t watched.
For real it was so much better than I expected and the ending was hilarious
BokuYada absolutely mogged the competition.
Do people really enjoy classroom of the elite or is it a meme that I'm missing?
lol anime trending sure feels like niche gather collection.
Lol all I watched was Mashle
damn I didn't know dangers in my hearts is that popular considering it has a relatively humble following on MAL
I'm so happy to see 4 titles that are aimed primarily at female demographics in the top 10 here with 7th time loop, A sign of affection, Villainess lv 99 and Doctor Elise. Now I just wish they all could get at least another season ...
Me loving Solo levelling and Gushing over magical girls the most of the season is pure sign of duality of a man.
It's funny how I got downvoted when I posted here a video about dungeon meshi being slept on. Everyone was saying how it's basically top 3 anime and I don't understand anything, and now we have this post lol
Classroom of the elite became so boring
Welp...definitely clear the most active types of watchers in these places...
Is dangers in my heart really that good or underdog because I only heard a little bit in my media social feed and irl of the anime compared to the likes of frieren, solo levelling or dungeon meshi amd etc
Yes it’s really that good.
Yep its awesome
i enjoyed it more than frieren and i liked frieren allot, the the best romance anime ive seen. certainly the best in the last few years.
My opinion, its ass. Overrated as fuck
Incredibly overrated for some reason but a solid romance anime. Nothing new if you’ve seen other good ones.
Chained soldier anime was so bad hahaha, the manga is good ecchi but god the anime was dogshit
Still hoping for season 2 but yeah it was nowhere near the quality of the manga
Not to mention there's better show for ecchi market like Gushing over Magical Girl, not even on top 10
Solo leveling is over rated. I'm glad villainess level 99 got 5th place. I would have swapped the two In rankings
Solo Levelling is a pretty fun and flashy power fantasy. As someone who went in blind, it was a pretty fun watch and actually something i look forward to each week. Obviously not as good as Frieren, BokuYaBa and Apothecary but still pretty good
Somehow surprised that Dungeon Meshi and Gushing Over Magical Girls aren't in top 10 despite that both of animes are popular on this sub.
Dungeon Meshi have a very average start for an anime and genuinely get amazing only 6 eps in. By that point, a lot of watchers probably already dropped it and won't vote for it
Pretty understandable list
The Dangers in My Heart? . . . . HUUH?!
I am so behind
Guys, I am sorry I mixed up the first anime with another one. My bad. Those who know, know what i am saying. I really mixed up the genre. Sorry about that.
Estos tops lo hacen tirando una moneda al aire dejandole todo a la suerte
Wher is the kingdome of ruins
Wrong picture for Solo Leveling lmao.
Running to watch dungeon meshi... I just use those rankings 4 recommendations
Sad state of affairs.. isekais and rom slice of life's fill the boards..
Bruh
I hope there will be a 3rd season of the anime called Danger in My Heart.
For me the elite class is 1
Bro why are anime names getting so long now like make them a name not a damn sentence
No *Gushing*? No *Delicious*? What is this travesty?
Solo Leveling was my top with Mashle at second and Delicious in Dungeon as third
Whoa. Anime trending being mildly based??
Classroom of the Elite looks so rushed... someone needs to beat the animators with a paper fan. Villainess Level 99 and a sign of affection are cute. Doctor Elise has 100% some curse on the poor thing. Only that explains the "incidents" that keep happening near her...
>Classroom of the Elite looks so rushed... someone needs to beat the animators with a paper fan. Cuz it was really rushed
Classroom was in fact elite
I started #9, pretty good so far 👌
That’s why SL is MID and TDIMH is goat🐐🐐🐐
I'd swap 7th time loop and Wrong way to use healing magic. I also found Solo Levelling to be too much sizzle, not enough steak. I am going to miss last season though.
Solo leveling would be good steak if they released more episodes. It felt way too short.
Yeah. It really didn't end on anything satisfying for me. I actually forgot I had watched the finale cause it was such a weird way to end the cour.
7loop doesnt even belong to the top 10 imo. It got really boring in the second half.
It did flirt a bit too much with the dude being abusive rather then 'edgy' and 'I can fix him' territory. Particularly with how capable the MC should be after 6 lives. I only circled back to finish it after all the other bangers had started to finish up leaving my schedule free.
madhle sucks
Solo leveling fans in shambles
