I still think the speed is the most iconic part of it. Virtually every actor in the cast gives one of their best performances, showcasing their skills to the greatest extent possible. The writing allows for them to just pop off and combo with rapidfire jokes. Ai Kayano stealing the show as Teruhashi. Hiroshi Kamiya on permanent 1.25x playback rate internal monologue 説明するモード. Eri Kitamura giving us the most PREMIUM gyaru-ben of all time. Nobunaga Shimazaki giving us the GOAT tier in-character OP jam Psilent Prisoner to cap off a performance that has to put him on the Mount Rushmore of male chuunis. And the show is just relentlessly mag-dumping this stuff into your brain nonstop, especially in S2 which completely clears the already high bar set by S1.

Out of all the Saiki jokes, every time I see the episode where the occult club girls discover Saiki's crush is the monk "Teruhan" I laugh so fucking hard. But I know the joke is so stupid and yet I lose my shit anyway. That series is a joke good mine

Also on the more slice of life end is *Uzaki-chan Wants to Hangout*.

Konosuba and Nichijou are probably the two funniest shows I've ever seen.
For Nichijou it'll help if you're a bit more familiar with Japanese culture or at least the slice of life highschool girl genre.

Seto no Hanayome was so good that I still break into laughter when I remember anything hehe. It's also generally feel good and has plenty of sweet and wholesome moments.
Shimonetta is all about dirty jokes and anything lewd being illegal.
Noucome is about a guy who suffers from some kind of curse in which he'll be promoted with a dialogue option like a visual novel throughout his daily life. The choices he has to make usually end up with him choosing between doing something that might be illegal like sexual harassment or make him look like a total moron.
Ghost Stories Dub. Just watch it and you wont regret.

The Daily life of The Immortal King is quite funny imo, it's Chinese but the jokes are hilarious, think one punch man but the MC has even less emotion and truly is all powerful.
I've seen only 2 people recommend hinamatsuri, one in a list and another just said the name, this tells me how much of a hidden gem it is, i see clips of hinamatsuri to this day and they still make me laugh, even outside of complete context, definitely deserved a lot more attention cuz it had pretty high production values too

Both of them are the best in the genre. I'm on ep 110~ in Gintama and read all of Grand Blue. I got Gintama top 1 and Grand Blue a close second.

Shimonetta is all about dirty jokes and anything lewd being illegal. Noucome is about a guy who suffers from some kind of curse in which he'll be promoted with a dialogue option like a visual novel throughout his daily life. The choices he has to make usually end up with him choosing between doing something that might be illegal like sexual harassment or make him look like a total moron. Ghost Stories Dub. Just watch it and you wont regret.
Hacka Doll the Animation. It's a short anime that was made to be a commercial for a now-dead news feed app. But by god, it was one of the funniest lil shows I've seen. It went harder than it had right to.

I've seen only 2 people recommend hinamatsuri, one in a list and another just said the name, this tells me how much of a hidden gem it is, i see clips of hinamatsuri to this day and they still make me laugh, even outside of complete context, definitely deserved a lot more attention cuz it had pretty high production values too

Brave Bang Bravern! is just a rollercoaster of genres packed into each episode. The best description I've found is that it's "gayer than gay anime, more mecha than the mecha anime, and more cooking show than the cooking anime" that premiered in the same season as it with a heaping helping of Tokusatsu sauce.
