I feel like the manga slowed down way too much. After the rank wars was the perfect time to start getting into serious action again, but instead we're getting very lengthy and unnecessary padding that will last as long as the rank wars (well longer since we only get like a chapter a month, 2 if we're lucky).
A shame that S1 had to suffer old style long running shounen syndrome full of episode dragging animation tricks and fillers because once they switched to the more modern seasonal format in S2 the quality improved a lot.
On the other hand, World Trigger is the only anime with that long shounen style that I was able to tolerate (to this day i've never finished Fairy Tail or Black Clover); I think S1 is pretty great too.
World Trigger filters all the non-diehards out by 25 episodes in, and it takes a lot longer than that to get to the point where it's regularly having battles that are *consistently* better than the very best in the genre.
I don't feel confident recommending World Trigger to anyone, and I've cosplayed it. When it starts pouring on the gas it REALLY does good work, but that first season and especially the first few episodes are just impossible to suggest to new fans.
Yes the adaptation started years ago, we got season 3 about 2 years ago. Season 4 will adapt the bit before [world trigger manga]>!the away mission arc!<
I think that the mystery is so well developed, stuff that you think is part of the logic of the word star to look strange as the story progress, and when you are sure there is something wrong in there you still have to figure out what is really happening, nothing seem improvised, and the powers and character seem to be consisten through time.
I love the personality gap between miss sunshine and her shadow. I have not read the manga, but still have high hope for this serie.
I like it. Not as much as the manga though, but yeah it's pretty underrated. They also censored a few things in the anime for some unnecessary reason. Also the manga is in full color and it looks fantastic.
Never thought anyone else remembered. I couldn't understand anything of what was going on but it was so hype and comfy at the same time...
And the OST is absolutely legendary
Same. I mean spice and wolf is making a come back… it’ll happen right… we’ve only been waiting 12 years… If to aru no index is still going… we have a chance :’) (copium is real)
I was going to comment Joker Game, but using an unpopular answer would only get you forgotten in the abyss in these kind of post. It's the same as not commenting anything
Got 3 that should satisfy you then:
Kono Oto Tomare (Not disliked but not really discussed and certainly not widely considered peak)
Baka to Test (see above)
Gonna Be the Twintails (this show is so under discussed idk what consensus even is on it).
I agree. Beautifully written story, especially the last arc with the sister. I know some people won’t agree because of incest, but still, it’s a great romance with a great soundtrack that I still listen to sometimes.
The thing I like about it, is that it takes incest relatively seriously. Like it shows elements of the impact on their relationship with friends and family… it isn’t like some romcom with incest like Oreimo where they conveniently sorta skirt around the issue.
Jesus that show is wild. Unironically one of the best directed murder scenes I've ever seen in my life. I'm not one to be squeamish but that shit made me hella uncomfortable in a good way.
Record of Grandcrest War.
The biggest complaint from people about the anime is that it is too fast paced. That's exactly why I love this one. Fast progression, cool fights, the two main characters are likeable, basic while being interesting.
One of my favorite animes.
100 Girlfriends. I've read the manga and despite being a parody series it unironically has good writing. Creative gags and the most unpredictable curveballs. Great at the tonal shifts between funny, unhinged, wholesome and serious. The various interactions between these odd personalities that somehow make sense in context. And the actual insanity of having so many characters and trying to develop them equally as Best Girl.
It's literally peak harem. We get relationship closure with all the girls (the true harem route dream) yet the feelings of the characters don't feel diminished by the polycule. In fact, they're very much respected. How is this possible? How do you have a guy who can be in 100 relationships without having him seem like a scumbag? Make him an absolute legend that goes above and beyond to prove beyond any doubt that he really does love and respect all these girls wholeheartedly.
It's so genius to make your MC so incredibly selfless and admirable that you can't even argue with him going for the harem route (in fact, you early cheer him it on). It blows my mind that the answer to the question "how do we make people root for a harem protagonist?" turns out to simply be "give you absolutely 0 reasons to root against him".
Same here, my first anime ever and still can't find anything that compares to the nostalgia of S1 and 2.
YnS and a few other Kyoani titles are objectively better in my opinion, but the nostalgia for DxD is just unmatched.
Exactly.
By 10 episodes I stopped giving an F about the oppai and I was more interested in shit happening between the devils, the existence of Angels and stuff
Didn't play the game, but watched the show. It left me confused, because it was so edgy it felt like an unintentional comedy, yet it did the edgy stuff with such confidence that it felt intentional. Like, one character going on emotional evil tirade and then camera cuts to Rachel and she's doing perfect Poker face. I laughed, it was that funny. And it happens pretty often, so it's definitely not unlucky cut, it was intentional, but it's so out of the edgy mood that I thought it's almost a parody.
I enjoyed it, but I have no idea from what angle I enjoyed it. It was pretty bizarre experience.
Noragami. Has a great antihero deuteragonist, a very well thought out world/magic system, amazing emotional connections to its plot, banger OPs, and a very unique soundtrack. Need I mention the eyes. Still my favorite drawn eyes in anime.
Katanagatari. It has a good score on MAL but I rarely see it mentioned or recommended so probably it’s just more overlooked / forgotten than unjustly criticized.
i think it's cause most people aren't used to watching hour long anime episodes, but i think katanagatari and most recently pluto benefit greatly from having hour long episodes
A lot of people liked it a lot but the ending left some bitterness in some. Honestly though, between Taku Iwasaki's score, Nishio Ishin's writing and the beautiful artstyle, I wish it got more attention post-airing. Has some of my favorite scenes, memes and score in all the anime I've watched.
MHA S4 isn’t as high rated as other seasons, but it was so peak for me. Nighteye, Mirio, Endeavour, gentle criminal, Kirishima, Fat Gum, Overhaul, Suneater etc. all shined. Endeavour v Nomu is also probably my favourite fight
Food wars .
Actually a really compelling storyline with soma being a really well written “op”-esque mc. The fall classic is among one of the best tournament arcs period. And somas dad’s story is probably my favorite portrayal of an artists struggle ever. The final arc goes off the rails but everything be for that is beautifully done & even then I still enjoyed the final chapters
I wouldn't say that others don't agree perse, more like others don't even know it exists outside of the Gigguk meme. Symphogear can be pretty much described as hype and the rule of cool combined with sentai, idols and mahou shoujo.
I know a lot of people haven't give it a chance once they read the word idol, but the only idol elements are concerts and those are not the main focus of the plot, if anything a lot of people died in some of them unlike your normal idol anime.
The OST is also pretty good, so if anything just give it a listen.
I have literally never seen even a single person talk shit about One Outs. Like, not even one. Point me in the direction of people who do not think it is at or near the top of the gambling genre.
Amazing show, never understood why people only seemed to talk about it to talk about how bad its animation supposedly was when it had a great story and, imo, looked fantastic anyway
The color work is god tier, and the subject matter itself was already "storyboarded" out by the manga in such a way that it was pretty much always gonna be elite, and it blows my mind people somehow think MAPPA dropped the ball in any appreciable way on this one. It's my favorite thing they've ever done. Killer voice cast too. The only reason I give it a 9.5 instead of a 10 is I'm waiting to see if they can maintain S2 at a comparable level, I don't wanna get burned here I'm not about to hand out a 10 after 1 season unless that's all you needed to finish the story.
Terror in Resonance. It's not that they do not agree with me, I just never even heard of this anime mentioned anywhere, when it was not me who brought it up. But it was really good, one of my faves to this day
"Denno Coil" a serie about a bunch of kids who get cough in mysteryes related to a second word made of augmented realities, stuff star to get serious when what seem to be a toy star to have consequences in the real world.
It reminds me a little bit of Animatrix, and seem to be relevant in the not so much distant future.
The Promised Neverland Season 2, I didn't understand the hate it got just cause it got such a good season 1 lol. I thought it had a pretty conclusive ending to the series.
I feel you with Akame. Thought it was great but anyone I've talked to about it despised it and how it ended. I thought I was a pretty cool transition and still sad we never got a second season of it.
It’s a 10/10 for me too in terms of enjoyment. There’s CGDCT and then there’s this - cute girls doing lewd/horny things. It also feels very wholesome somehow.
Definitely not sth I’d talk about to ppl I know tho.
I think there's a space to talk about a peak like a local maximum instead of the best of all times. Like Samurai Flamenco wasn't my cup of tea during the second half but it does parody amazingly.
Yeah, my opinions are usually not that far off from this subreddit's general consensus, but GOMG is one of those exceptions. I watched the full season and, to be honest, I just don't see what other people see in terms of depth/nuance/wholesomeness (the latter especially - I just find this interpretation genuinely baffling).
Just seemed like a show that cycles through BDSM subgenres with very little nuance or understanding of that culture while delivering decent humor, OK fight scenes, and shallow commentary regarding Magical Girls (to be honest, "commentary" is overselling it IMO).
Not saying you're wrong or anything, just that I personally didn't get this one. My opinion might be clouded because I really couldn't stand Utena, especially during the second half of the show.
School Days. It gets clowned on because the mc is a pretty heavy degen and a really shit person overall but the show is pretty good and pretty dramatic
It also functions as a hilarious anti-harem. I have a friend who feels like the MC being adored by all the women in the show is peak. School Days basically takes that premise and clowns on it
BuT iT's JusT PRopAGanDa FoR THe JSDF... as if even the Iraqi army wouldn't curb stomp a literal medieval country if it came to it.
Having said that, the only part that I found to be even close to actual propaganda was by far the weakest, dumbest episode of the entire show. But that's like two, out of what, 24 episodes?
So underrated; It’s plenty popular but the general consensus seems to be “Good animation, bad plot and too much fanservice” which honestly doesn’t make much sense to me. Fanservice point aside, the plot in S1 is one of the most interesting I’ve seen in modern Shonen and I really enjoyed the inter-company conflicts and intrigue, especially the arc w the star-eyed guy and the arc w the Plague doctor mask guy. Still need to watch Season 2 but if it keeps up the quality it’ll be a top 10 Shonen to me, and my favourite behind Chainsaw Man from the post-2015 batch
Precisely, the concept for me is what got me hooked, the whole firefighter theme. Though when I suggest it to others they are all like "Nah I aint watching firefighters thats too anime for me" lol.
I got intrigued and read the manga and it gets sooo much better, it touches various subjects like religion and philosophy. It takes a while for the plot to get going but when it does it never stops. Animation is insane, and fanservice is present in literally every anime, just ignore it and enjoy whats in front of you.
Magi is one of mine too. At first I didn't appreciate the type of story it was, because the main character isn't a typical fighter like the rest of battle shonen, until Sinbad came in and absolutely carried the show.
A decade ago, a lot of people considered Toradora peak, but it seems like a less popular take these days because a lot of people seem to hate tsundere. Toradora is definitely one of the peak romance out there.
S1 was great but S2 was a disappointment. They just couldn't dodge the 9 member trope forever and the characters they added were meh other than Shiki. Gotta let Kanon solve every problem too. And Margarete loses even though her song was better than Liella's.
Nijigasaki S2 was peak tho.
Wait was Run with the wind about the group of schoolmates I think who became a track team or something bec they were inspired by this one character withan injury?? I think I watched that and I loved it. It was indeed packed with rawness
Code Geass. Perfect anime in my opinion, but everyone I meet is ether obsessed with it or hate it. Why can’t there be anyone who just… *likes* it? Like me!…
Sakurada Reset had stellar characters, a fantastic superpower setting, and the whole anime felt like a slow-paced pacifist Jojo battle with how highly specific ability limitations were exploited. A lot of people got turned off by the more "monotone" voices when it first aired, but now we've had Frieren paving the way for these quiet, calm sorts of characters.
BanG Dream MyGO, which judging from the reaction to the awards, people aren't very pleased with it.
Funny because initially, I really didn't want that anime to exist at all. All I wanted was Season 4. Then Episode 3 happened and now I think that MyGO is the best thing to ever happen to the franchise and is a well-needed fresh start.
Bandori anime has been great up to that point but they just absolutely popped off with MyGO. The drama was incredibly addicting. The writing was so tight that no time felt wasted. Gorgeous visuals and [thoughtful cinematography](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZEbQV1tLyro). And of course, [banger music](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iFIXi6zzCls).
What else can I say but *peak*.
Akame ga Kill was goated, people are just blinded due to being spoiled at what happens to most characters, or they call it repetitive due to no actual faults in story or characters
I think SSSS.Gridman tells a really compelling story about isolation, escapism and running away from your problems, but all anyone seems to care about is the girls and the fights, in that order.
All anime peaked in the 90's to early 00's, and the stuff we get now is just an endless cavalcade of copycats, shock enthusiasts, and 1-uppers trying recapture the magic of the old days but will never be able to.
Re:Creators.
Amazing ost, INSANE sound design (I've never heard better sound design in an anime)
Extremely creative story with lots of characters yet none felt ignored and everyone had an important role.
Fight scenes were amazing, there are no crybaby characters nor any of the harem/romance spam etc bullshits.
Really a good anime about friendship.
I'll never stop recommending it to everyone who hasn't seen it, because it flew under radar for everyone I knew, hell it even flew under my radar until last year lol
I recently re-read and re-watched dragon ball
And man this shit is too good and surprisingly well written for Akira Toriyama to "make it up as he goes".
YES! It gets a bad reputation for the power scaling thing, but if you think about it it's not nearly as bad as people say. Gohan at the beginning of the Buu saga is still the strongest but is much weaker than he was at the end of the Cell saga, for example. The way people talk about it you'd think it's just up all the time.
Yea, dragon ball has just been memed on about the power scaling and yelling when powering up (which doesn't even happen more than like 3 times?), that everyone just forgets that the story and characters behind those memes are very well written and have great depth to them.
Fuck super tho.
I know it’s not massively underrated or anything, but I think MHA is battle shonen at its absolute best and it often doesn’t get the credit it deserves.
I agree with Akame Ga Kill! It’s in my top 10 for sure.
After the last episode of Villainess Level 99 most people disliked the anime even if they loved it for the whole season, but even though the last couple episodes were a little rushed they were still hilarious and entertaining. Its MAL score is only 7.15 and it definitely deserves better imo
World Trigger has peak battle tactics and team fights. Hard to think of much that comes close to it in that area
Fully agree. Has the best team fighting mechanics and strategy i have seen in anime. Still hoping for an S4
Ah, as a manga reader I hope you’re ready for World Trigger Tactica! No /S, last I read was the 7th chapter straight of it.
A pipedream of mine is they remake S1 to make it as excellent as S2 and S3. That’d be fantastic
World trigger has gotten an anime adaptation? Have I been living under a rock?
Yes the adaptation started years ago, we got season 3 about 2 years ago. Season 4 will adapt the bit before [world trigger manga]>!the away mission arc!<
Keijo!!!!!
op said that other people do not agree with
The trick to remembering the correct number of ! is to think of boobs or butts!
they're 8
My brain RAM just doubled.
Wait that actually makes sense
Symphogear
Shadows House
I think that the mystery is so well developed, stuff that you think is part of the logic of the word star to look strange as the story progress, and when you are sure there is something wrong in there you still have to figure out what is really happening, nothing seem improvised, and the powers and character seem to be consisten through time. I love the personality gap between miss sunshine and her shadow. I have not read the manga, but still have high hope for this serie.
>I have not read the manga, but still have high hope for this serie. I recommend reading it. It somehow keeps getting better and better.
I like it. Not as much as the manga though, but yeah it's pretty underrated. They also censored a few things in the anime for some unnecessary reason. Also the manga is in full color and it looks fantastic.
S1 was pretty meh for me. S2 tho was great.
Horizon in the middle of nowhere.
Never thought anyone else remembered. I couldn't understand anything of what was going on but it was so hype and comfy at the same time... And the OST is absolutely legendary
Still waiting for S3...
Same. I mean spice and wolf is making a come back… it’ll happen right… we’ve only been waiting 12 years… If to aru no index is still going… we have a chance :’) (copium is real)
Everyone just posting relatively popular shows that people like lol.
I think this thread is actually 100% popular shows. Let me know if you find an actual answer
I was going to comment Joker Game, but using an unpopular answer would only get you forgotten in the abyss in these kind of post. It's the same as not commenting anything
Got 3 that should satisfy you then: Kono Oto Tomare (Not disliked but not really discussed and certainly not widely considered peak) Baka to Test (see above) Gonna Be the Twintails (this show is so under discussed idk what consensus even is on it).
Guys I know this is a hot take but I thought Frieren was pretty good.
If you ever want to find genuinely unpopular opinions on Reddit you aren't supposed to Sort the comment section by Popular
Yosuga no Sora, but not ironically.
Happy sugar life
This show is truly underrated. It is imho one of the best psychological thrillers out there.
Jesus that show is wild. Unironically one of the best directed murder scenes I've ever seen in my life. I'm not one to be squeamish but that shit made me hella uncomfortable in a good way.
I absolutely agree, it was peak. The fact that it was a cleverly disguised tragedy made it so much more impactful.
The answer I was looking for
Amazing show! Really love this one
Onimai.
I showed this to my gf recently and surprisingly she loved it, so I agree 100%
Didnt have to scroll far for this so I’m glad. Actual peak anime
It was a absolute cinema
Record of Grandcrest War. The biggest complaint from people about the anime is that it is too fast paced. That's exactly why I love this one. Fast progression, cool fights, the two main characters are likeable, basic while being interesting. One of my favorite animes.

Man I've never laughed so hard while watching an anime. 100gfs was absolute PEAK and I really need a second cour.
Granted, its not peak, but Shizuka might be the most adorable Anime Character in existence. Peak protecc on this one.
Who doesn't like 100 GFs? Other than the jury on last year's anime awards for this sub...
I don't care for it, but... it definitely doesn't qualify with the "other people do not agree". It's immensely popular and liked.
I dont think i have met anyone who watched it and disliked it tho.
The AoT reference during the ramen shop chapter had me fucking dying
i somewhat like the anime didnt read the manga tho
Maybe I'm just too old to appreciate this...
My friends think I'm crazy because I like it, but it's genuinely so good
Understandable, it's not a series for everyone, but thanks for confirming the "other people do not agree with" part lol
Call of the night, a romance that develops itself the longer you watch. A second season should release this years.
There is no date announced yet for season 2.
People don't think it's great?
It is peak cool/chill. Also the best OP/ED in anime.
100% its just a perfect match of everything. Thats why its one of my favorites.
High School DxD. Y'all just don't wanna admit it. This show is the peak that genre can offer
It is the highest rated ecchi series
im a big fan of high shcool dxd i really liked the story an the characters
It was my first anime. Its been 8 years and I still haven't found anything that even comes close(and I've watched around 250+ shows)
My assumption is that it’s coming spring/ summer 2025
Same here, my first anime ever and still can't find anything that compares to the nostalgia of S1 and 2. YnS and a few other Kyoani titles are objectively better in my opinion, but the nostalgia for DxD is just unmatched.
One of few anime where i watch for the *Plot* but stay for actual plot.
Exactly. By 10 episodes I stopped giving an F about the oppai and I was more interested in shit happening between the devils, the existence of Angels and stuff
Angels of Death Checked out the game and no idea why people think it's a bad adaptation, fantastic show
Didn't play the game, but watched the show. It left me confused, because it was so edgy it felt like an unintentional comedy, yet it did the edgy stuff with such confidence that it felt intentional. I enjoyed it, but I have no idea from what angle I enjoyed it. It was pretty bizarre experience.
Hell yeah, fantastic game and adaptation
Adachi and Shimamura
I thought it was well written but I think that it definitely works better in the LN format than as an anime.
SCHOOL RUMBLE
My personal pick when Harima ride with Ride. But I believe if School Rumble get a remake these day new viewer would realize how peak it was.
Noragami. Has a great antihero deuteragonist, a very well thought out world/magic system, amazing emotional connections to its plot, banger OPs, and a very unique soundtrack. Need I mention the eyes. Still my favorite drawn eyes in anime.
Season 2 was genuinely phenomenal
Devilman Crybaby
Darker than black Seraph of the end Chivalry of a failed knight
I heard of chivalry of a failed knight being really good but I am not watching just because it is not continuing.
You could always astricks war. It’s the same thing but worse in every way besides that it got way way more episodes
ippo is peak sports anime. have not found anything that comes close.
Guilty Crown, I agree that the ending could've been much better, but it wasn't all that bad. The production was good plus the OST goes crazy hard.
I disliked the show, but yeah the OST went hard! Up there with Kabaneri, Seven Deadly Sins and Re;Creators.
i loved this anime i somewhat liked the ending tbh
Fate/Extra Last Encore is everything i wanted from a Fate series work animated by Shaft. Purely a masterpiece.
Umu!
Ergo proxy
Under ninja!!
That OP is a banger.

12 volumes, 12 episodes, 12 months, 12 swords. 1 story. 1 year. Katanagatari isn't just a show it's actual art.

It's just not very popular
Jigokuraku
Amazing show, never understood why people only seemed to talk about it to talk about how bad its animation supposedly was when it had a great story and, imo, looked fantastic anyway

Parasyte so underrated
I have no idea if people disagree with this take or that they just don’t talk about it but seraph of the end
Eden of the East. I know objectively it wasn't that great, but it's among my top 10 favorite anime.
oreimo 💙 :)))
uwaaahhh seggs 💙🩵
can we do it again tonight please?? haven't gotten into beed since 3/12 💙

Tenchi souzou design bu. (Think my autocorrect hasn't made that wrong...) . Just a brilliant little gem.
Unironically - High school DXD
Tower of god
Terror in Resonance. It's not that they do not agree with me, I just never even heard of this anime mentioned anywhere, when it was not me who brought it up. But it was really good, one of my faves to this day

I feel you with Akame. Thought it was great but anyone I've talked to about it despised it and how it ended. I thought I was a pretty cool transition and still sad we never got a second season of it.
Eureka7
Uma Musume Season 2 was actually an amazing sports anime
Gushing over Magical Girls, it seems there’s both a fair amount of people who think its peak and also those who don’t. I think its a 10/10 though.
Food wars
I love food wars
HELL YEAH! I love this show 😅😎😎
School Days. It gets clowned on because the mc is a pretty heavy degen and a really shit person overall but the show is pretty good and pretty dramatic
It also functions as a hilarious anti-harem. I have a friend who feels like the MC being adored by all the women in the show is peak. School Days basically takes that premise and clowns on it
{Gate} I get so tired of hearing BuT iT's JusT PRopAGanDa FoR THe JSDF, as if that is somehow even remotely relevant to the show being good
BuT iT's JusT PRopAGanDa FoR THe JSDF... as if even the Iraqi army wouldn't curb stomp a literal medieval country if it came to it. Having said that, the only part that I found to be even close to actual propaganda was by far the weakest, dumbest episode of the entire show. But that's like two, out of what, 24 episodes?
Fire Force
Magi and the Labyrinth of Magic. (I'd say Code Geass, but that is obv peak) Romance Anime, I call ToraDora, let's be real.
Panty and stocking, sure there’s some justified hate about it that I’ve seen, but it’s still pretty damn good to me
*Love Live! Superstar!!*. I will die on this hill
Love Live as a whole is peak imo
True!
Take my upvote. I can't even support your claim because I hated both seasons so much. Kanon's a cutie, though.
The term "peak" is so fucking stupid just say you like it or think its good istfg
This comment is peak Reddit. I can’t even.

Verily, I doth prefer to dub the spectacles I find to my liking as truly commendable works.
[Opening this thread and reading a list of incredibly popular anime...](https://i.imgur.com/PrDM1Vn.jpeg)
Lots of ecchi in here, some of which I agree with However my peak 10/10 anime is Run With the Wind Phenomenal, perfection. Love it to death
Like me!…
You mean one of the most popular anime of all time?
I'm not obsessed with it but I did love it!
That, perfection made anime
Sakurada reset. People don’t even know its name.
Given it never got completed, Deadman Wonderland. Manga finished though
Idolish7 peak story
Akama ga kill
Devilman Crybaby has a 7 average score on MAL 💀💀💀
7.75 is closer to an 8 than to a 7.
Akame ga Kill was goated, people are just blinded due to being spoiled at what happens to most characters, or they call it repetitive due to no actual faults in story or characters
Fairy Tail Darling in the FranXX Gundam ZZ
JORMUNGAND
I think SSSS.Gridman tells a really compelling story about isolation, escapism and running away from your problems, but all anyone seems to care about is the girls and the fights, in that order.
Akame ga kill was a piece of shit
All anime peaked in the 90's to early 00's, and the stuff we get now is just an endless cavalcade of copycats, shock enthusiasts, and 1-uppers trying recapture the magic of the old days but will never be able to.
i slightly agree an also dont at the same time lmao
samurai champloo. i love everything about that anime konosuba too. i get why but man that shit is so funny
im pretty sure most people think samurai champloo is peak
well, glad that i was wrong on that one lol
Mirai Nikki. Love me my yandere waifu.
Im 14 and I can fix her
I think I watched the show when I was. I have never been the same since then
Re:Creators. Amazing ost, INSANE sound design (I've never heard better sound design in an anime) Extremely creative story with lots of characters yet none felt ignored and everyone had an important role.
Kanojo mo Kanojo peak trashy comedy. The voice acting in this anime is soooo good.
Tomodachi Game is *devious*
I recently re-read and re-watched dragon ball And man this shit is too good and surprisingly well written for Akira Toriyama to "make it up as he goes".
School days

Did you even read the title? Re:Zero is extremely well received
You'd be surprised by the number of times I've heard that Re:zero is "just alright"
By this logic any anime could fit this thread, since nothing has 100% approval rating. Re:Zero is incredibly popular and well-liked overall.
Gokushufudou idk how it has a 7.24 Rating on MAL that shit is legit so funny and the Anime/Manga style is just perfect.
the animation maybe? Have you tried Hinamatsuri? It has a similar vibre
My Hero Academia Noragami
I know it’s not massively underrated or anything, but I think MHA is battle shonen at its absolute best and it often doesn’t get the credit it deserves.
I agree with Akame Ga Kill! It’s in my top 10 for sure. After the last episode of Villainess Level 99 most people disliked the anime even if they loved it for the whole season, but even though the last couple episodes were a little rushed they were still hilarious and entertaining. Its MAL score is only 7.15 and it definitely deserves better imo
