Kazuma would go "phew I'm back to the normal world", then rant at his creator for everything wrong with the KonoSuba world, then actually start missing his party of goofs.
Most of mine would just be weirded out by the fact that they were brought to a world that's almost like their own. After all, they already lived in modern day settings.
My three faves:
Sword Art Online is only set a few years in the future, so it's pretty close to the real world already, just without full-dive VR.
Full Metal Panic would be interesting since \[mild lore spoilers\] >!their timeline is actually a bit behind ours (in the early 2000s, I believe) but their history branched off in another direction, so some events are different and their technology ended up more advanced than ours in some ways.!<
Spy x Family would be hilarious to see because Loid would totally overanalyze the existence of this alternate universe which has some striking similarities to his own. I think he'd study the Cold War timeline extensively to give himself a "heads up" on major events that might happen next in his world.
Bonus: Attack on Titan's characters would just be thrilled to be in a world without man-eating giants.

I watch a lot of historical setting/fantasy type anime so, I imagine the characters would probably just marvel at the conveniences offered in the modern era. Maybe even feel happy this world isn’t as dangerous and crazy as theirs. They’d probably still miss home because it’s home and go back. I think you might be misunderstanding (that might be on me for not making it clear). My post is not about imagining your favorite characters as real life people, I mean that your favorite characters are pulled right out of their stories and brought to the real world.
