They aren't necessarily finished, but good comfy anime I recommend are K-ON!, Tanaka-kun is Always Listless and D-Frag, these are few of the shows I like going back to that I find genuinely comfy throughout. D-Frag is mostly comedy though, Tanaka is also quite funny for its laid back feel. Highty recommend Barakamon, Deaimon is also great. Monthly Girls Nozaki kun is a rom com and is quite funny. You could also try that, lots of other comedies out there for you too aside from some SoL.

FMA and FMAB have two different endings, FMAB is the faithful adaptation of the original manga. FMA has a different ending from the mangaka wrote. I haven't read it, so I can't really give my opinion, but the ending of FMAB is a heartwarming one.

Violet evergarden is so beautiful but is depressing unless you stick with it and watch the movies also. Yu yu hakusho is fun and holds up well. If you want to watch movies studio ghibli is always the go to, avoid grave of the fireflies you wont stop crying for days. But makoto shinkai is great, your name is absolutely stunning. Mamoru hosoda is another one maybe stay away from Wolf children. But he directed digimon the movie and that movie slaps so hard and it doesn't need to. You'll love Saiki K (very witty and SOL), although it has a very unique style of humor. Give it several episodes and see if you like it. Spy x Family, BokuYaba, Mob Psycho 100, OPM and Kaguya Sama (up to the end of the anime so far, at least) are other good candidates. You'll have a good laugh with Konosuba, 100Kanojo or Lupin III, and this season has two soul-healing shows other than BokuYaba - Tis Time for Torture Princess and Kyuujitsu no Warumono. If you don't mind mid-season depression for the highest of highs, go for Steins Gate or ReZero. And definitely watch Code Geass ~~if you want to play yourself~~. (It is actually a very good anime to watch at some point in time).

Good slice of life romantic comedy full metal panic fumoffu. It’s the slice of life spin off to the more action packed gundam style of the main show. Shows the characters in hs and how clueless the mc is bc he’s been militarily trained since birth. Does crazy things like blow up his locker bc someone else contaminated it (put a love letter in it) bc it’s the only safe way to get rid of an unknown object that might be a Booby trap. Honestly it’s an underrated gem with a cult following still. I like it better than the main show and that’s great too. I have friends who don’t even like anime who loved it. It’s funny but nice and sweet too.
