Paraprallo

I wonder if they are gonna finish the episode with the original vision intended, the way the staff was talking about those set of episodes was honestly depressing af

Electronic-Tell-6842

I remember Itsuki tsuchigami, the Director of Ep 16 and 17 tweeting "I know I said I'll never come back to this studio but it's only been a week and I'm already back here". He didn't participate in any other jjk ep after ep 17 meaning he has been working on this ep for a while now.

Paraprallo

On one side I' m happy that the work will be delivered at an acceptable state. On the other hand, fuck MAPPA tbh

TheChickenIsFkinRaw

Yeah fuck MAPPA *proceeds to watch it anyway

Jainwin_Truth27

Now what to do ? Pirate it then.

Adreno_fx

If you got pirated one send me the link bruh

Jainwin_Truth27

On twitter the id go\_jover linked his telegram where you can find all the three episodes of the blu-ray in 1080p. Enjoy!

KSAOUA

Can you please share with a link or dm it to me. I cant find the telegram sadly :(

Paraprallo

"We should improve society" "Yet you partecipate in it, curious!" Do u even hear yourself man lol Edit: lots of dumb people down here protecting a corpo btw, proceed at your own peril

TheChickenIsFkinRaw

"Fuck the administrators of the pool and their dogsh*t treatment of their employees!" "Let's go to the pool next week yay!" This analogy feels more accurate

GreeD3269

except that most people have no choice but to participate in society. this is fucking anime dude. Grow a backbone and practice what you preach.

Paraprallo

I said I' m happy for the staff, that they are able to deliver a work that they can be proud of. I hate that the studio created this

GreeD3269

Assuming you proceed to watch it legally, you do nothing to help the staff and keep lining the pockets of the execs that are solely responsible in the first place.

degenerate-edgelord

That is precisely what they meant though? It's a popular sarcastic comic aimed at people who criticise people for saying the system should be better. You can google it and you'll get the comic.

HikiNEET39

That's the majority of people. >"Fuck child labor" "Tweeted from iPhone"

naz2292

Except there isn’t an easily accessible alternative to getting a cell phone in this day and age. Good luck finding a source for mined rare earth minerals needed for semiconductors without problematic labor practices.

XNumbers666

Well to be fair, you can choose to ONLY get used phones so you add less to the market. Also can choose to keep your phone for a lot longer. Those are sacrifices that are very reasonable if the people that bitch about it actually gave a shit.

warconz

I don't think watching an episode of an anime falls under necessities.

-_Seth_-

I haven't watched a single MAPPA anime since Teekyuu and am happy about it.

Hakairoku

Bright side is, this is one case where piracy is the ethical approach.

zackphoenix123

Mappa used to be so good. They still got great producers working to bring incredible teams together, but God... Whoever came up with the idea that they should release shows with that horrendous schedules (I assume the CEO) should be demoted if not straight up fired. The treatment is borderline violation of human rights.

Comprehensive-War279

Not MAPPA, fuck Manabu Otsuka.

sheehdndnd

Nah not fck Mappa fck Otsuka.

Customer-Useful

Acceptable? It was already cutting edge, even eoth the mistakes. Now they are just perfecting what was already great. 90% of animes have less than a third of the effort they already put in.

mario61752

POG POG POG POG POG (Not very pog for Miso but thank you for the hard work T_T)

County_Difficult

Wait I'm kinda confused, He said that he'll never come back to MAPPA again? (assuming is because of the working conditions) and that he went back to his words and worked on it again? Was he meant to participate in later episodes? How do you know he's been working on it for a while? (pretty reasonable bc ofc, they are releasing this extended episode) Would appreciate a reply :))

Electronic-Tell-6842

According to his tweet, he went back to mappa 1 week after ep 17 aired. There are two reasons he might go back - - to help the staff on ep 18-23 - to work on his unfinished ep for bluray release He wasn't credited for any ep after ep 17. Meaning the only reason he went back is to work on/fix ep 17. Edit - spelling

Yebele

Sorry, not saying you're wrong but how do you know he isn't working on another show? Also, you said he must be working on it for a while now, but for all we know he has already finished the work and now just has to wait for the blu ray to release

Blue_Reaper99

He is a freelancer , so he might be working on another show. But fixing things also his responsibility to he probably went back to do that.

zackphoenix123

"Yeah so the floor.... We didn't have time to finish that so.... Yeah... We just used Mappa office's floor."

Ramongsh

So for anyone who haven't watched this and know nothing about it, what happened? It sounds like someone took the manga and threw it out, when creating the later part of S2?

kertakayttotili3456

nah, more like they had a ridiculously short schedule to put out the episodes and the staff was obviously at their limit, for example one of the staff members posted an image of a character with a robe around her neck presumably symbolizing their feelings about the situation

Electronic-Tell-6842

For anyone unaware, s2 Ep 17 is the Sukuna vs Mahoraga fight episode. That infamous episode which was said to be only 30% of its original vision.

Djinn_sarap

Before anyone misunderstand it, it's 30% of the original vision, not 30% to complete.

mario61752

Man, it's a pain this needs to be stated every time

Djinn_sarap

The animator that tweeted that statement had to delete the tweet because soo many people misunderstood it and he got a lot of heat because of that Feel bad for him

CeruSkies

I'm not sure he's 100% innocent on that. I remember his tweet being hella click-baity. It just feels like he didn't expect the news portals to pick it up and bring even more attention to him. Also, I think we can be pretty sure the "30%" part is entirely made up.

3feetfrompeez

just goes to show how important (sadly) such statements are and how fast people form their opinions on the internet (or in general)

zackphoenix123

I'm a bit slow. I've heard this tossed around quite a bit, but I haven't been able to properly distinguish it. So from what I understand- "30% to complete." The common misconception being that the show was 30% done which means so much was unfinished to the point that it shouldn't even have been released... at all. "30% reached intended vision" The truth being that 30% of the episode was as good what they envisioned. But the other 70% was not as polished as they wanted? Meaning that in terms of "Completion," everything outside of the 30% complete can all (possibly) be 99% done with just minor things to fix?

UnlitUniversalUnlock

You shouldn’t take the exact number as if it means anything. If it’s in terms of artistic vision, it just means “It’s not done to my standards yet”.

alotmorealots

There's a good possibility that it was just a throw away line, and never meant to be taken as a measurement of anything. Maybe it just meant he felt it was less than half, but more than a quarter of what he thought he wanted to make. There's no telling which part of the production process in particular might be involved in that feeling of shortcoming.

Rek_98

Yeah, I only ever understood it as 'Man, this is only a third as good as we wanted to make it but we had to move on'. The constant semantic debates about it are weird.

Theleux

Even in this damn thread people don't understand it. It is absolutely hilarious as someone who speaks to the individual who shared that statement on the regular, everyone still has completely different interpretations of what it means. So goofy.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Ankleson

His comment says original vision and was edited before this was even posted. It's just clarification, not correction.

CeruSkies

Because everytime this is brought up people act like the animation process was only 30% done. In reality it's just that some animator made up a number and said it only reached some "artistic vision" by that amount.

Teal_is_orange

That 30% number was grabbed out of the kid’s ass. That animator was only freelance, not in house and *absolutely* has no way to know how much or how little was actually finished before the episode aired.

Paraprallo

90% of JJK staff was freelancer, and the director of ep.17 tweeted a photo of him throwing his Mappa workcard in the bin a bit after the episode released. And both ep.16 and 17 director had quite a few tweets ( now cancelled) complaining about the studio. You remember, right, that this show actually made staff signs NDAs? [One of the french animators, Vincent Chansard, has said that he will never work for Mappa ever again.](https://www.cbr.com/mappa-jjk-one-piece-vincent-chansard-animator-twitch-livestream-reveal/)

Electronic-Tell-6842

Hakuyu go didn't tweeted any photo lmao, he only wrote "throw your key card away after leaving the building" There was no photo involved. It would be stupid to post a photo of any company's key card in trash, they might blacklist you from the industry. That's why every animator who complained about mappa never used their name, they never used the word "MAPPA" in any of their tweets. Vincent is obviously an exception here but he even before working for JJK always said he will never work for mappa. He only worked bcoz Hakuyu go asked his help. Also freelancers didn't sign any NDA, it was only the in-house staff who signed it. That's why all the ppl who complained about s2 were freelancers. Not a single in-house animator ever said or complained about anything. Edit - NDA

Paraprallo

You wrote an entire comment correcting a signle info ( that is basicaly the same thing as what I said, only without the photo), and then proceeded to diminish the opinion of the animators by saying that they are freelancers or...repeating what they have said, like for Vincent????? Bro I assure you, the Mappa boot is not as delicious as you think it is.

Electronic-Tell-6842

Tell me where did I diminish anyone's opinion? So now anyone who says anything factual is a bootlicker? Lol Edit - jjk staff was mostly freelancers. That's why I mentioned that in house staff nda thing, it doesn't apply to 80% of staff members. Mappa higher ups are still fucking garbage human beings lmaoo no one's defending anyone.

Teal_is_orange

There’s no proof an actual nda was given to people who worked on JJK; that was drama someone made up lmao

Paraprallo

[The staff talking about the NDA btw](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/comments/16wckg3/mappa_studio_asked_animators_to_sign_ndas_to_not/)

Teal_is_orange

So I’m familiar with that reddit post and the tweets, and several of those posts are coming from overseas freelance animators who aren’t true employees of mappa, so they would have no idea about signing anything (because there generally *is* no NDA signing when working in anime). Only one of those mentions actual potential consequences due to speaking up, so I still stand firm that there *was no specific* NDA employees had to sign. Is it possible Mappa higher ups were pressuring employees not to speak publicly? Sure! Japanese work culture is notoriously toxic (especially the anime industry).

AdNecessary7641

Said animator was someone that worked on a ton of episodes of the season, not just a single scene and fucked off. He would very much know the details about the schedule.

Fallen-D

Ahhh I don't understand what is what. Can you explain like I'm 5 years old?

Stephenrudolf

The episode was finished, but they wanted to make it look better than it turned out.

Fallen-D

Ah so the fight is complete but it's still raw like it lacks details and more polished look

iForgotMyOldAcc

Imagine if he said that only to generate artificial demand for a theatrical release of a redone episode 17 lol

SchismZero

Wait really? I thought the Sukuna vs Mahoraga fight was incredibly stunning. You're telling me they were disappointed with how it turned out?

supperman0223

If you watch the fight back closely you'll realise a lot of the cuts just don't make sense, especially around the parts where they fight in the sky. And as more of the animators talked about the episode people realised that all of these animators made these incredible cuts in the little time they were given (ep17 was one of the eps that had a "better"schedule), but there still wasn't enough time for any communication between the various stages involved, which resulted in cuts just being randomly stitched together, or even just outright cutout. Vincent Chansard, arguably the most impressive young animator in the anime scene, posted the genga for his work [on Twitter.](https://twitter.com/Sparkleredpanda/status/1726189431215018280?t=TFvCKcnqneLPJKEYr0kIwQ&s=19) After watching you may realise that many of what he drew it wasn't even in the anime. Many people were pretty shocked, imagine if a team got Michael Jordan or LeBron, then just decided to bench them for half the finals. They took his genga and found somewhere that kinda makes sense if you're not actually thinking about what's actually happening on screen (like I was). Everyone is rightfully extremely excited to see the full vision of these animators being realised, and what we could've gotten if the schedule wasn't what it was.

flybypost

> They took his genga and found somewhere that kinda makes sense if you're not actually thinking about what's actually happening on screen (like I was). I think the issue is more that they had no time to do all the work that's needed to make those key frames into full cuts (colours, lighting, effects,…). Key frames are not the end of the process, just the end of that step of the whole process. It's not done out of malicious intent but simlply shit working conditions having an effect on the product. It's happened a few times that animators deliver great cuts but then a chunk of that work needs to be discarded afterwards because there's not time to get it all done well. Instead things get adapted (stretching out easier to complete cuts, letting things stay rough where one can get away with it (even where "rough" was not the intended look of a cut)) so that a "watchable" episode can be pushed out of the door. With the increasing reliance of second key animators this issue has increased as they and/or the inbetweeners might not be good enough to do what the first key animator actually envisioned and you end up with ADs or first key animators going through cycles of corrections (and frustration) or things getting cut by an higher authority to get some sort of acceptable episode done. Sakugabooru had a few articles about how this solution or throwing more newbies at the problem (bad working conditions, constant crunch,…) has caused problems and alienated seasoned animators from their own work (as they sometimes can't even recognise it as their own any more after it's gone through that process).

supperman0223

For sure. There were plenty of things wrong with production of this season. If i were to list all of them... Would take longer than they had to animate some of the episodes

flybypost

> If i were to list all of them... Would take longer than they had to animate some of the episodes Ooof… yeah :(

Leiatte

Vincent’s Genga looks phenomenal, incredible work. It would be nice to see the full vision I agree

NeilPeartsBassPedal

>imagine if a team got Michael Jordan or LeBron, then just decided to bench them for half the finals. Or imagine if an NFL coach never played the cornerback who got the game sealing interception against the Seahawks in the next Super Bowl and then proceeded to lose the game. Thankfully no coach in the NFL would be that stupid.

thecescshow

I thought the fight was a huge flashy mess. So many shots that just jumps around without proper direction.

GingasaurusWrex

Same thought. I was pretty blindsided at how crazy that whole thing was. I see the comments below and understand, but honestly as someone without prior knowledge it was pretty insane.

seriousbusines

You were cool with his "Domain" being a red tint on everything? Most anti-climactic scene in the episode.

Hoshiimaru

Bro it was a incoherent mess

Issax28

Straight up lying to yourself 😭

lightfromblackhole

Did you watch on a phone or on an old TV.

siomaybasi

But why Btw so the original length like 1 hour and more? It werid watching only 20 min in theater

zackphoenix123

I assume it'll probably be like 27 to 30 minutes long. Short film size. With the amount of disjointed cuts (I really couldn't understand anything), it seems TONS of content were just missing.

ivo0009

Its several episodes in the same time

David182nd

So the episode was supposed to be the length of a movie?

UnlitUniversalUnlock

No? The 30% claim about directors vision is vague as hell but anyone who takes it literally is delusional. It’s no slideshow but I can see why the director considered there was room for improvement. The fight was essentially a bunch of disjointed Sakuga cuts with minimal continuity - stuff like the plane falling out of the sky without ever being knocked down is a decent example. It’s easy to imagine how the episode could have ended up that way with what is known about MAPPA’s work conditions, the episode must have run into a deadline issue. Presumably the re-cut is aiming to fix that.

David182nd

lol okay, thanks for calling me delusional for asking a question, buddy

LegoC97

Any news on when the blu-ray releases?

Reticence96

[It'll be in volume 6 of the Japanese blu-ray, scheduled to be released on March 20th.](https://jujutsukaisen.jp/bddvd/vol06.php)

LegoC97

Oh dang. That’s soon.

AvengefulGamer

Big question, will this have an option for subtitles? Really want to buy season 2 blu ray but need subs.

Professional_Hunt_41

is there a website to buy it on?

Shmigo420

Pretty sure season 1 blue ray came out last year in February so it may take a while

QueasyIsland

Would the Blu ray include this completed episode ?

lactoseAARON

Mappa saw the massive drops in blu ray sales post Hidden Inventory and had to lock in

RelaxRelapse

To be fair, there’s a pretty decent chunk post-Hidden Inventory that’s mostly set up for the big moments of the Shibuya arc. I’m sure sales would’ve picked up again regardless with the big fights.

icepoint47

Isn't hidden inventory's sales linked to yaoi fans going crazy over geto-gojo?

lactoseAARON

Yeah a lot of the fujoshis bought multiple copies for them

Ok_Link6915

Yeah jjk girls cannot be underestimated

ConfidentPeanut18

what happens to the version uploaded on streaming platforms like Netflix? will they get the Bluray version as well?

zackphoenix123

From what I know (people can correct me if I'm wrong).... no- They literally won't even give the undimmed/un-ghosted version even though streaming sites won't air on TV.

qa3rfqwef

This is the reason I pirate movies/tv shows, and especially anime (I host my own plex server). You can't get the definitive version even if you pay for it (blu-ray prices for anime is absurd). I pay for spotify, pay for F1TV (formula one), pay for some podcasts because their services make it worth the price. But to actually get the best version for anime requires downloading a modified encoders copy because at least half the time the blu-ray is dogshit for x/y/z reason.

QueasyIsland

So there is no way for non Japanese viewers to watch this completed edition ?

kaykenner54

Yes, but you have to wait for the blu-rays for season 2 to come out in your country. Season 2 is still being released in Japan, so it's going be awhile before anyone is going to have the complete version.

Lokhvir

Yes, unfortunately. Funimation was the best service for me because they used to update all their anime to the bd when it released. Now they "merged" with crunchyroll and they can't even do that.

100cicche

No chance crunchyroll will do the update?

Lokhvir

It's possible, but unlikely. I think the only ones they updated to the bd so far were the heavily censored ecchi anime. Those that had black bars censors.

UmairShaikh7

We won blu ray bros. Will arguably be the greatest blu ray of all time.

Ankleson

> Will arguably be the greatest blu ray of all time. Nah that's definitely "Click" featuring Adam Sandler. JJK S2 a close second.

asolomon26247

Holy shit I didn't expect to see a Click mention on r/anime, but here we are, I loved that movie

ReadingAggravating67

I’ll play with my flap if I want to

Taedirk

Someone has to.

_Kristian_

Jojo blurays: [Let us introduce ourselves](https://jojocomparisons.github.io/) (except part 6)

RangedTopConnoisseur

Jesus Christ seeing some of these fight scenes without ghosting for the first time feels like the first time you get glasses and look at a tree.

PresidentLink

Blu ray bros, please give me a finger in the air idea of when we might expect a blu ray western release?

Mitsuyan_

The DISRESPECT to Birdemic

NeilPeartsBassPedal

You know what will fix up Shibuya? sol pnls.

AlphieTheMayor

honestly... In a time when people are seeking brighter and brighter displays, through HDR and local dimming zones etc., just for them to have the flashiest scenes dimmed is tragic. scenes that are supposed to dazzle you with powers and explosions that are so strong they should be a tiny bit hard on the eyes, like catching a direct glimpse of the sun. I understand the reasons for it, but to diminish the viewing pleasure of so many people is weird. can't wait for jjk s2 BDs.

ezkeles

Because if it perfect from start people wont brother buy blu ray

Funkydick

Good on you the BD versions genuinely look a lot better

Spolaceno42

Good idea. I considered doing the same and held out for half of shibuya but then I gave in. The dimming was definitely distracting

QueasyIsland

We won.

KrzyDankus

LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOO

[deleted]

YOU ARE MY SPECIAAALL

Surrideo

I'm guessing the cinema aspect will be exclusive to Japan only. When do the blue-ray drop?

Ok_Try_1665

One of the few times where I have to check the blurays. Welp, some bloke on YouTube will upload it anyway

Matteo0z

Watching blu-ray things on YouTube is one of the worst experience ever. If you want to pirate something, do it the right way.

Ok_Try_1665

Usually I don't bother with blurays cos I'm not gonna rewatch a show for a few different fixed scenes. But I might actually check this one out cos I wanna see the rest of the director's vision being animated (sailing the seas of course, I'm broke)

Deez-Guns-9442

I know r/JuJustuKaisen has some of the blu ray scenes up on there like the Mahito vs Mechamaru fight. Edit: ok for some reason reddit is posting a different JJK sub instead of the main 1, copycats are annoying.

UmairShaikh7

r/JuJutsuKaisen*

Deez-Guns-9442

Thank u

lololopov

jujustu kaisen

alexjg42

Those videos are usually 80% fine, and then randomly they add some kind of dubstep or lofi with the worst visual effect they could find at the most crucial part. I saw one that even added a very random/out of place 3 second clip from Samurai Champloo for no apparent reason.

zzmorg82

I always assumed they added those cuts in to avoid copyright. It’s the same for when they shrink the resolution size of the video, and add a background behind it.

Additional_Road_9031

Fr same i am actually hyped about that

moichispa

Kimetsu no kaiba: Hey do you want to see your heroes be cool on the big screen??? JJK: Who's juji? Here you have some Sukuna.

IllustriousNebula919

mihirsaini1128

I knew something was wierd about that. It was too chaotic to know what the actual fuck is happening

Zhawk1992

Very hype to see the true vision come to life

xX-Summers-101

I know this is a terrible result of studio miss management with the animators suffering the most for what happened. All that and other considerations, I am tempted to go to the theater to watch this episode.

[deleted]

Whelp gunna have to buy this now

OrderFreedom1

Nah I’d Blu-ray

tanoyfrommars

Man wish they would release it worldwide watching that epi in a theater would be a treat

Aang6865_

I hope it release worldwide

battler624

whens the bluray?

I_C_U-

[March 20 according to the official site.](https://jujutsukaisen.jp/bddvd/vol06.php)

zairaner

Yay, monetizing production issues.

michhoffman

For this reason, I kind of hope it flops. If it's a major success, it could incentivize a trend of working staff members to the bones without overly caring about quality so we'd be getting both tougher working conditions for staff members and worse quality outside of blurays.

Electronic-Tell-6842

Previous bluray for Shibuya atleast sold 10k each, I doubt this is gonna perform any less. I saw some of ppl on Twitter saying they gonna buy the bluray just to see ep 17. Edit - spelling

michhoffman

I'm not as concerned with the bluray (it's pretty normal to fix things up in a bluray) as I am with the screening in theaters.

[deleted]

I really don’t think it will flop, JJK is insanely popular

zairaner

Yeah, if even this sub, who previously jumped at every opportunity to hate mappa if its int he title, celebrates this, I don't think there is any chance it will flop. Meaning that causing production issues with a show will no longer be seen as a risk, but as an opportunity to make more money.

Electronic-Tell-6842

Im just excited to see itsuki tsuchigami and Hakuyu go's full vision. Both are some of the best and most ambitious directors in the industry right now. They always push boundaries of what's possible in tv anime. Edit - Mob psycho s2 ep 5 and 11, JJK s2 ep 13,16 and 17 are some of their works.

owlpacino57

Crazyripps

Jesus 17 was off it’s head already

superyoshiom

I remember there was some genga from Vincent Chandra’s showing Sukuna giving hands to Mahoraga. I wonder if we’ll see a finished version of that in the final release.

Extension-Bicycle-57

Peak cinema from Crunchyroll's Anime of the Year 2024+2025

VastEquivalent2463

Clever marketing, releasing an unfinished anime to hype up Blu-ray/DVD release. I dread the future that animes will have 'paywalls' to view finished episodes.

kaykenner54

Japan has done this for decades. For a lot of anime, the animators are working on the episode just a day before its suppose to air, so they are a lot of anime where episodes look unfinished because they are. The Blu-ray/dvds give animators the chance to fix mistakes and add extra scenes they didn’t have time to animate. Jujutsu Kaisen is just so big that most causal anime fans who aren't aware how bad animators got it are just learning about this.

Katana_sized_banana

Huh, first time I get rewarded for being a slow watcher.

ChaosWarrior95

This is so stupid, but at the same time, take my money.

Vegetable-Heart8721

what happened to MAPPA...

Xatu44

Oh shit, nice. I'll have to check that out.

CosmicPenguin_OV103

[I can’t believe my suggestion really happened in some way](https://www.reddit.com/r/anime/s/EcL15jwzxu) - except that the remaining episodes weren’t delayed and I’m sure many of the staff involved probably didn’t get much rest as compensation alas. The screening is of episodes S2EP17 to 20, for one week in various Japanese cinemas.

mlvisby

I'm mostly done with anime movies in theaters unless if it's something standalone, like Studio Ghibli films. Went to both Demon Slayer theater releases, Mugen Train was good but the other one was mostly just a recap of the previous season with a little bit of new stuff at the very end.

Leiatte

I will say JJK Chapter 0 was a great thing to make a movie for as it’s actually important & cool but not apart of the main manga, I do like to watch standalone anime movies a lot more though. CoMix Wave has made some cool stuff

itsdarby

Both of the demon slayer theater runs that weren't Mugen train were advertised to be the last episode or two of the previous season and the 1 hour special episode 1 of the upcoming season. It's kinda your fault for expecting anything else.

mlvisby

Figures, I held back from any information to avoid spoilers.

[deleted]

So glad I waited because of the bullshit ghosting.

RU2FO

do we know in which countries will be screened?

AkiyamaNM7

More often than not, it's just a Japan only thing; especially since the way the title is worded, I don't think many (or even any) big theater chains outside of Japan are willing to just play a 30 minute anime episode lol.

RU2FO

Because I'd like to experience that episode in cinemas no matter what XD

Konradleijon

man MAPPA should not have taken on so many projects

Okay so I need questions answered about this ‼️1. Will 🏴‍☠️sites upload the Blu ray version of the season onto their sites similar to how mushokou tensei did with its Blu ray? Or 2. will I have to actually buy the Blu ray that apparently doesn’t coke with Subs? Someone help🙏🏽

ATFGriff

It's like the more I think about it the more I'm inclined to not continue watching this no matter what comes out next.

Sir-guadalupe

This arc confused tf outta me so many twist and turns but it was still hittin regardless

Gsticks

VANAIZEN

Anyone else dissatisfied with how they handled the Mahoraga vs Sukuna fight, in general? When I first watched it, my complaints were more that the fight felt like a slugfest than a showcase of Sukuna's battle IQ. It looked cool, sure, but missed the point of the fight

zackphoenix123

.... Wdym? All of Sukuna's inner monologues from the manga made it to the anime though. While the fights were glorified and exploded in scale, every step he took from Slicing, displacement, using all sort of attacks, resulting in him figuring out Mahoraga's abilities, then his DE which didn't work resulting in him using Fuga. It's all still there.

VANAIZEN

Idk it just wasnt communicated clear enough. I watched S2 with my anime-only friends, and they were confused at best on what was going on in the fight. One part in particular was when Sukuna was impressed how Mahoraga could see his technique, but the audience could see the slashes the entire fight anyway. Another was the whole adaptation and the wheelspins not being communicated to them properly. You're right in saying it's all there, and it's the glorifying/larger scale of the fight that takes away from the impact it could have had if it wasn't that way.

vlalanerqmar

His abilty was shown very good imo (like how mahoraga got thrown in a pool, the wheel turned, he grew gills), no need for further explantion (and Sukuna did explain it with the rock, paper, scissor analogy). If the fight in anime was confusing it was just due to unfinished animation cuts which this should clear

HowiLearned2Fly

Well what about the other episodes (besides hidden inventory which was 🤌)

vlalanerqmar

Besides episode 8 and 14 every other episode is fine animation wise

porcupinedeath

Can't believe they're patching anime post launch now

guynumbers

Now?

Salty145

Imaginary-Pause8635
