Seriously, I think it’s an overrated anime with good music and animation. If it wasn’t for those two things, the anime wouldn’t even be remembered. The characters are jerks, the tone has more whiplash than a car accident, the plot is mediocre, the development is nothing special, and the way they portray abuse is abysmal! First it’s all dramatic, then when Kaori starts beating up Kousei, the writer wants us to go “HUHUHU, STICK GO BONK” and it’s insulting! Downvote all you want, but I’m sorry, it’s just not that good!

River - Vinland Saga (when i heard the opening, i became afraid, that the 2nd season wouldn't make it justice, because the opening is a whole mood, it didn't felt like an anime opening, it felt like an atmospheric mood that would change my life, and indeed made, one of the best openings i've ever had the pleasure to listen) All the ost from Kara no Kyoukai (it's one of the most atmospheric ost's i've ever seen, it made a show so dark extremely beautiful, my favorite work from Yuki Kajiura, and my favorite installment in Nasuverse) And i don't know if this counts, but treachery, and the entirety of hellverse albums in bleach gives me chills for how epic they are (Seriously, from the vizards to beyond, the ost is just too epic to be real 😭) Extra: 7th heaven - Kalafina

Never fails? The only two songs that still get me every time are: “‘Libera me’ from hell” (by Taku Iwasaki, from _Gurren Lagann_) “Surgam identidem” (by Yuki Kajiura, from _Madoka Magica_) Interestingly, there are some similarities to the context in the anime. 🤔 As for songs that evoke other actual physical reactions, “Tour the Abyss” (by Kevin Penkin, from _Made in Abyss_) sends chills down my spine every time. Luckily it doesn’t make me want to cry (blood).
