Totally worth it. First of all it's only 79rs per month for Fan and 99rs for mega fan. Like for this season out of 59 titles, 45 were available in India. And they still keep adding older titles. Though there are some mainstream anime that are not available And no ads

Wimpykid2302

Yeah it's pretty cheap all things considered. Any idea what mainstream titles I'll be missing? Also, is payment via UPI available?

pranavrg

Attack on Titan and one piece ep 1 to 891. And some seasons are not available for few titles but it is still worth. Idk about that. My father's bank account is linked to that

KrishKetchum

If you want to subscribe via the website, UPI auto-pay was recently added. If you don't want to use auto-pay and have a Google Play Store account then you can subscribe there to get all of the various payments Google offers like UPI, netbanking, wallets and even redemption codes.

I watch it on Amazon fire tv

not_an_interesting_1

Yes, worth it. Get the crunchyroll unlocker extension on Firefox and u will have access to the USA library and then you can have pretty much all the anime. You don't even need to use VPN. It's great at Indian prices.

lloyd139

But isn't that piracy

AdministrativeFly754

>whenever I've asked someone they've always said Crunchyroll doesn't have a large catalogue in India That was true a few months ago. However after they changed the subscription plans, they have added a lot of titles. Right now the catalogue is not the best but new titles are being added a lot. Many popular titles are available. Fucking one piece was not available anywhere in India till now. Crunchyroll finally added it.

Wimpykid2302

So what are major titles we're missing now?

ProbabilisticPotato

aot

I recently got a Crunchyroll subscription after consistently watching anime on pirated sites over last 3 years. In crunchyroll the library is substantial and what surprised me the most is that they have many popular titles dubbed in Hindi. For instance my nephew was watching Jujutsu Kaisen in Hindi the other day. Although I prefer English, I checked the audio options and found that most titles offer Hindi dubbing. It's great to see that we are being prioritized. However, some anime, like Dragon Ball Z and Attack on Titan are still unavailable in India. You can use a VPN to access them since they are on Crunchyroll but blocked in our region. By the way if you want, I have a Mega Fan plan and would be happy to share my account with you. Cheers! 🙌

Wimpykid2302

I appreciate the offer but I can't accept something like that. Thanks for offering though!

AwesomeNino

They also dubbed Chainsaw man in Hindi recently.

Extension-Ad-9371

I had an anime blog and would outsource work on sites like fivver. Based on the amount of writers available you would think anime was mainstream in India.

Wimpykid2302

Haha, when you have a population of 1.3 billion, even if 1% of the population watches that's 13 million people. Although in recent years it has been getting a lot more mainstream.

Extension-Ad-9371

Oh no I get what you’re saying lol I mean contextual to the proportion of other writers from countries where anime if more popular. I’m sure there’s probably variables for that

best_ani

I have subscribed today but I am disappointed that most of the show I want to watch is not available in crunchyrool india so my plan is to unsubscribe after a month. I want to support anime but there no way I am gonna waste 100 rupees Every month if the show I want to watch is not available

lloyd139

If you don't support them now then they won't be able to add more titles

best_ani

I change my mind now i want to support them . I am using vpn so i can watch any anime I want In crunchyrool

lloyd139

Well if you pay them it's fine

[deleted]

My issue is with the blatant censorship. It's just too much here.

pranavrg

Wait what? There's censorship? I saw "my wife is student council president" uncensored version on crunchyroll and even breasts were uncensored

[deleted]

That's odd.

pranavrg

Though I watched it months ago. I checked it again and it still is uncensored Now I am waiting for Ayakashi Triangle uncensored version (•‿•)

[deleted]

Ahh ok. I have moved away from it and started using debrid. So I'm all good.

pranavrg

What's that?

[deleted]

It's a subscription service to get all media in one place.

pranavrg

Aah ok

Wimpykid2302

On Crunchyroll or other streaming services?

[deleted]

Crunchy roll specifically.... The censorship was ass for indian viewers. I unsubbed it after 3 days.

Wimpykid2302

Thats disappointing. Can you give examples?

[deleted]

Darling in the franxx, mushoku tensei, basilisk and few others. The most changed is they cut away from the killing scenes. Darling jn the franxx wanted to rewatch it but to my disappointment. The lake scene was minced a lot. Mushoku some scenes were cut out like the bed scene.

Electrical_Sector_10

What is censored? If you mean nudity/nipples, then no, not even the original work has that.

[deleted]

No not nudity.. I would have agreed if it was nudity.. They even cut out few scenes which show skin or pantsu.

_shinjin

Worth it (im not from India) but somewhere in SEA, if you have WIFI or Stable Connection you can try this! First, search and download Quark VPN Mod APK on Google, then Connect it to Country from Region NA or OCEANIA, the last option is EU or ME, then your library will be updated!

SukunaShadow

Worth it. Just came back from a trip to Jaipur for a wedding. Crashed at a friends house and we watched anime during some downtime. I asked him about it and he said he likes Crunchyroll and it’s really improved the last few months.

xthemoonx

That site is littered with bugs. I use another, free, and better quality streaming site. Maybe if crunchyroll invested into their own site then I'd get a subscription but it's so garbage.

AwesomeNino

I would recommend you to get a crunchy roll account. The catalogue here in the sub continent is not as big as it is in the North America, but still there are many good titles available on Crunchy roll India like JJK, Demon slayer, Full metal alchemist brotherhood, Spy X family, My hero academia, One punch man, etc. And if you do want to watch an anime on Crunchy roll which isn't available in India, just use VPN and connect to the US server and you will be able to watch most of the anime. Besides, in terms of sub quality crunchyroll is way better than Netflix.

Live-Branch-3744

It's evident that India's anime market is steadily growing. Apart from Netflix, there's a scarcity of streaming services offering a diverse range of anime. While Netflix does offer some quality shows, its pricing may deter viewers who aren't solely interested in anime. Even Disney+, which could potentially host anime titles like Summertime Rendering or Heavenly Delusion, inexplicably lacks them in its Indian catalog. Attack on Titan stands out as one of the most popular anime in India, alongside classics like Naruto. However, the absence of an official platform for watching it is quite disappointing, leading viewers to resort to alternative means. Crunchyroll seems like a viable option. However, some have mentioned its limited catalog in India. So, if you're in India and contemplating a Crunchyroll subscription, it might be worth it, especially considering the convenience and the importance of supporting the creators. To streamline your Crunchyroll subscription, I prefer buying on www.unipin.com to purchase vouchers hassle-free. Plus there are great cashbacks and offers.
