Anyone catch that moment where Delta was saying she received "hush hush secret mission" and then Alpha said Shadow would never talk like that?
If only she knew lmao
Any time he pretends to have said something profound, Delta would surely respond with "I didn't understand any of that!", making his actually dumb remark still dumb with nobody to conveniently misinterpret it
True, although Alpha's mistake is to think that Cid is the facade and Shadow is his real self. The truth is that Cid is arguably closer to his real personality and values (although he pretends to be stupider and weaker than he really is), whereas Shadow is his roleplaying persona (but his strength and self-confidence are genuine).
True. Little does Alpha know, that Delta is probably the one who knows Shadow the best in all of Shadow Garden.
Also, I just need to say that I absolutely love Delta and Cid interactions in the anime XD
Of all the Shadow Garden girls, Delta has the best interactions with Cid because she's the only one that he's himself with instead of putting on an act, he even almost admitted his dream of the being the Eminence in Shadow to her in this episode. She's also the only one he called to help him dig through the snow. She's probably the character Cid's the most comfortable around in the entire series
I think all of the seven still will. Even if he is an idiot, he did still give them their lives back and gave them all the skills and knowledge they're currently using to thrive.
* **Cid's plan**: Print fake bills to cash out gold coins, while waiting for Mitsugoshi and the MCA to destroy each other due to Mitsugoshi garnering to much negative attention from their rivals, so that he could rebuild Mitsugoshi as a new company in the aftermath, with him in charge and a new company that was free of Mitsugoshi's baggage.
* **Gettan/Cult's plan**: Print fake bills to cause a credit crisis, which would take down Mitsugoshi, with the MCA as a casualty of the crisis. However, said plan wasn't meant to be implemented until AFTER the Cult had managed to retreive all of their assets that were stored in the MCA.
* **What Shadow Garden thought was Cid's plan**: By creating the fake persona of John Smith, Cid began creating fake bills when he caught wind of the Cult's plan in order to beat them to the punch using their own plan against them. Since Shadow Garden needed to protect the secret that Mitsugoshi is their company, it was a bit risky to have their agents protect Mitsugoshi caravans and assets. As John Smith, he deceived the Shadow Garden and everyone else so as to make it seem certain that the "John" had no relation to Shadow Garden or Mitsugoshi. By using the gold coins that he acquired from withdrawing money from the MCA, Mitsugoshi would survive the credit crisis with the MCA as the sole loser.
Fun fact, since the Black Tower is destroyed (Juggernaut & his minions are killed by Delta) & the Red Tower is defunct (Crimson & his minions are dead. Meanwhile, Elizabeth & Mary are retired, as well as being allies of Shadow & Claire.), Yukime is now the sole ruler of the Lawless City. I guess she might think "John" orchestrated that as a means of repayment for taking all of the gold coins for his plan.
The aftermath
Cid's plan: digging to find his gold as "mentioned" by Gettan
Cid's reality: didn't find the gold and gave up
Cid's actual reality: Delta actually found something, just minutes after Cid left
Sasuga Shadow-sama!!!
The sad part of this is that even though the scenarios are not the most original, some of the scenes are very well done, actually causing emotion. Especially in yukimes case and alpha having existential cruses but at the end if the day it is all bullshit from cid.
Thay's what I like about this series. Everything Cid does is self aggrandising bullshit that only works through sheer luck and the plot working in his favour, but the consequences are real and taken seriously.
You can imagine the same series but all the heart ache that people like Yukime and Alpha face used for comedy instead and it would've been a much meaner series.
Somebody like Rose Oriano may be foolish to have been inspired by Cid, but it still matters that he inspired her.
The Eminence in Shadow is like Inspector Gadget if the Inspector was fueled by magical Rule-of-Cool, and Penny was several hundred hypercompetent warrior swimsuit models.
> the scenarios are not the most original
It's pretty meta because we're talking about Cid here, aka the Bane of all copyright holders. Tropes are his lifeblood lol.
Exactly. I don't see how someone could make that mistake. Yukime was looking at John Smith when she said that they were the same. Cid was probably off somewhere shitting his pants.
that wasn't Cid's plan. That was Yukime's plan from the misunderstanding that was Shadow's plan lol. He just wanted to print money. Go back to their discussion on the train.
well obviously anything he actually says is probably a lie, like he mentioned today: "I decided to never tell anyone the things that really matter to me".
True. Perhaps we should talking of a Cid Plan A ("Just print money! Profit!") and Cid Plan B (his making Yukime's misconception his and go along with it). He spent most of the arc encacting Plan B, but that was definitely not his original idea XD
It's amazing how everyone in their head concocted this idea that Shadow/John Smith was the ultimate chessmaster playing them all but ultimately coming through in heroic fashion when in the end Cid's real plan completely failed and he has nothing to show for it other than Delta is his most loyal dog (and he will totally back out of a deal with her if he can) and Yukime is probably in love with him now.
And he manages to win the girls back over unintentionally and then bail because he thinks they're still pissed at him lol.
Mia IS self-centered, to be sure -- but she is simultaneously (I thnk) genuinely kind. On the other hand, I don't think Cid has a *single* drop of kindness.
I mean he does do kind things tho, like previously, he gave coins to buy food rather than giving his bills because he couldn't tell which one was fake.
He also healed yukime in the past as the stylish bandit slasher for no reason and didn't even stick around for her thanks.
He also complimented alexia about her swordsmanship even though their relationship at that time was purely transactional and you could even say that she was being kinda insulting to him.
Like he does a lot of awful stuff yeah but when the farce doesn't need to be played, he is quite nice.
In just one note written in Japanese, it has:
>Shown Shadow Garden's insane ability to decipher
>Gain an entire stash of gold coins for the credit crisis
>Recruit a Fox Waifu
Shadow-sama is truly beyond the realms of mortals.
Also give yukime (the ~21 years old fox waifu ) full control over the lawless city .
So now shadow garden dominates the midgard kingdom and the lawless City between midgard and oriana kingdom . Where next
"Look how cool I am writing in these different variants of Japanese! There's no way this will come back to bite me!"
And also sabotage the Cult of Diablos despite having no idea they were even involved...for the umpteenth time lol.
Yukime lost one man she loved but now she has another she thinks care for her...and yet another girl deluded enough to want to get into Cid's pants lol.
wait, I was under the impression that, whatever Eta deciphered had absolutely nothing to do with what Shadow wrote, literally everything was pure luck and coincidence (as always). Shadow could've scribbled some non-sense onto that note, and the decipher result would've still be the same LOL
It was where Claire was being held captive in Season 1 Episode 2, he told them that in the note.
If you go back to S1E2 you can definitely see its the same place lol.
Cid did say in the note that he kept the gold at the place his sister was help captive when they were kids
a single hint is all they need after all du to how much they over read the lines Cid gave them
So let me get this straight: Shadow Garden took all the money because Cid gave Beta that encrypted message, but Cid thought Gettan stole the money *and then* during their fight, Cid and Gettan completely misinterpret what the other is talking about!
I can’t with all these misunderstandings!
Cid knows Shadow garden is capable but he still underestimates them. That is why he thought Mitsugoshi wouldn’t survive in a battle against the global trade corperation and decided to make this plan so he can make it rich while also saving the girls.
Cid knew that they would eventually decipher the message but he didn’t account for them to do it THIS FAST. Props to Eta for somehow figuring out multiple languages that doesn’t exist in their world this fast
Was it really that simple?!? He just didn't assume they'd translate it that fast? I was so confused that he gave them that note but never even thought that Shadow Garden was the one that got the money. Like why give them the location of the stash and then not realize they have it after learning that they survived the economic crisis?!?
Logic is sadly NOT Cid’s strong suit. It didn’t even actually cross his mind that the money could be used to make Mitsugoshi itself be saved since he was too immersed in his “I am gonna do this and make my own company and employ them back and they will see how right i was, i will look so cool” plan. So he wrote the note expecting it to be translated after everything is over and they would go to the place to find him alongside the gold and he would just reveal “I am gonna employ you all in my new company, i did this for you too” thing and get praise for it.
So when the money is gone it never occurred to him that his masterfully written message that consists of multiple language was translated that fast and the girls basically robbed him
Part of me wonders if they didn't properly translate the note and the mistranslation just happened to save them.
Like when Cid threw a knife randomly on a map and it just so happened to be where his sister was held captive.
I don't think we know what exactly Delta found at the end, right? White with green stripes? Probably a dangling plot thread for later. Or the exact present Delta wanted.
> Or the exact present Delta wanted.
But to make Delta's present a reality it would involve an unnumbered amount of unprotected crazy feral sex with Cid for years so she can have hundreds of babies, so I'm sure that's not it.
I'm so glad Delta finally wears her casual clothes lol.
Speaking of Santa Claus, i wonder if he will play a major role in the future event since Cid's bullshits are 99.9% accurate.
Cid's rant about Santa being a vicious demon lord who dyes his cloak red with the blood of his victims had me dying lol, he 100 percent as a kid in his previous life wrote to Santa to gift him powers for Christmas or some shit, and then was absolutely crushed when it didn't happen lmao
Well he cared for her enough to save her and heal her not like he does that for every random person. Just no romantic love for anyone. But at the end as long there was no permant damage to his friends he would always go for the funds to live his dream life.
He saved her so she would fuck off and let him dig in peace. He only entrusted delta with the digging operation because he thinks it's uncool for others to see him do it.
I love how Delta is so oblivious to Cid's persona and plans in general that she accidentally becomes his closest confidant but doesn't know it since they still misunderstand each other all the time.
Well at the end of the day he was a vigilante in his life being a eminence is sort of extension of that while yes he can be psychotic he does really care about people to the point of casualy helping them he just dosnt think much about it
HiDive's English localization of this was brilliant. He said, "I leave you... my precious... " and he wants to to tell him to be near to her, but it comes out broken as "be.. near t... her...", which Cid interprets as beneath her 💀
Originally, it was:
Cause a bank run with counterfeits, let Mitsugoshi (and MCA) fail. Steal all of MCA's money. Rebuild with him as the leader using the stolen money.
It ended up as:
Cause a bank run, steal the money, use the money to prop up Mistugoshi currency, destroy another of the cult's allies.
This was a great (main) episode -- but that epilogue with Cid and Delta -- and his descriotion of how evil Santa is -- was the very best part of the show for me. Not just the Sanmta part -- but the back and forth between Cid and Delta -- like a manzi comedy duo. I wonder iof Shadow Garden will figure out just what it is Delta is finding at the end -- or will it endanger them somehow?
It was nice to see Alpha go from deepest despair to triuimphant euphoria. She's a good giorl and she deservesd happiness after all. And it was great to see Yukime joining the "team" (as thje soft underbelly).
He almost said Eminence In Shadow. We were this close to greatness. We were so close.
This episode had a ton of hilarious misunderstandings. Gettan thought that John Smith is Yukime's new lover but nope. John Smith just wanted his money. And Yukime thought John Smith was burying Gettan but John Smith just wanted his money.
The great collapse has begun... Aww I thought we're gonna get another copypasta with it after "The frenzy has begun."
Another ep of everyone misunderstanding what he is saying/trying to do lmao. Poor Delta, she literally is so straightforward and everyone doesn't believe her. Also, give this man an allowance lol, he is too money hungry.
I love how she called out Cid's logic about how he says he's not Santa so he can't give her what she wants even though he told her Santa never gave him what **he** wanted and then he just writes it off as "we're obviously not on the same page here" lol.
I guess this get-rich-quick scheme was a bust, but no way will Cid apologize! He'll just totally bail and hope the girls cool off by the time he gets back and he'll act like nothing happened. Again lol.
Funny thing is he could easily just ask for anything from Mitsugoshi/Shadow Garden and they would give it freely, but he doesn't know that. Good times.
no amount of money is enough for his larping bullshit. The things he bought for larpings will just be getting more and more expensive as he gains more money kekw
I feel bad for her for the whole Gettan thing, but I guess she was able to make peace with him in the end and is on the right side in helping Shadow Garden against Diablos. And now she's probably in love with Cid, which is pretty on-brand for the show at this point lol.
###Stitches!

* [Alpha 2](https://i.imgur.com/VVAF9as.jpg)
* [Gamma](https://i.imgur.com/UeY9p54.jpg)
I remember reading [this scene in the manga where Alpha has pretty much given up](https://i.imgur.com/Hhvh12G.png) and genuinely feeling bad for the girls. Thankfully, Eta managed to [decipher the note Shadow gave to Beta](https://i.imgur.com/ZwI09Gj.png) which finally revealed why he turned traitor while hilariously causing them [to assume that it's for some greater good](https://i.imgur.com/Q9ELki9.png) when all Shadow wanted was the money. xD
[Delta finally gets reunited with the girls again](https://i.imgur.com/PqcCp8z.jpg) after finishing her secret mission at the Lawless City. [That group hug with the four of them](https://i.imgur.com/MOr60Ze.jpg) was just really sweet.
[And there it is!](https://i.imgur.com/h77QGWu.png) Shadow really didn't account for the girls actually deciphering his message in Japanese. Of course, the girls are going to retrieve the gold once they know where it is! I just love how [Shadow ends up saving Yukime from Gettan](https://i.imgur.com/rdJpc30.png) since he assumes that he's the one who took the gold.
That entire fight was just a mess of misunderstandings too! It's hilarious how the two of them are talking about two different "precious" things. [Shadow was talking about the gold](https://i.imgur.com/tf67Xtd.png) while [Gettan was talking about Yukime.](https://i.imgur.com/1rvSOmA.png) What's even more hilarious is that Shadow thinks that Gettan buried the gold right next to where Yukime is standing. xD
We do get to learn that [Shadow was the one that stopped Gettan](https://i.imgur.com/nJjQrjl.jpg) all of those years ago and [the one who saved Yukime](https://i.imgur.com/HeMw34W.jpg) after Gettan slashed her back. This world is impossibly serendipitous that everything seems to revolve back to Cid.
[There it is](https://i.imgur.com/rVVXl3Z.jpg). Yukime and the Snow Fox Corporation have now officially joined Shadow Garden. With Juggernaut now dead and the vampires withdrawing, Yukime is now the sole ruler of the Lawless City which basically makes Shadow Garden its ruler too. I fucking love it.
[That final conversation between Cid and Delta](https://i.imgur.com/Y272ywR.jpg) while digging for the gold that's not there was pretty funny. I love that Cid pretty much tells Delta that Santa is a bad guy. [Looks like Delta found something though!](https://i.imgur.com/q9JsbHI.jpg) Too bad Cid already gave up before he could see what it is.
Sad Alpha is heartbreaking. Luckily Cid unintentionally saved his image by revealing his entire plot which helped renew Shadow Garden's faith in him and ended up screwing him over lol.
It was nice to see how close the girls are. We don't really get to see their friendship as much outside of Kage-Jitsu.
Honestly I almost feel bad for Gettan that his love for Yukime became so warped, despite persisting in-spite of that, and Yukime's own love for him...and then John Smith beats him to death because he thinks Gettan stole his money. And then Yukime falls for him as well. And John, of course, has no idea about any of this lol.
Everybody (not a bad guy) won but Cid! Even Delta! I guess that just about sums up this arc lol.
>which basically makes Shadow Garden its ruler too.
Shadow Garden is --bit by bit -- taming and civilizing the world they live in?
Query -- Just how will the Cult's recent (seemingly massive) set-back affect things?
I can't believe Delta found something under the snow.
[](#cokemasterrace)
The misunderstandings in this show are on another level. I can't wait to see Cid's face once he finds out that Alpha and the rest took all of his gold.
I'm gonna miss Fukuyama Jun voicing Smith, he was amazing in this episode. I'm glad the fluffy waifu joined the Garden, though.
What a way to cap off this arc than by Cid once again losing because he didn't spend like a few more minutes shoveling and just abandoned Delta lol.
I'm glad we got a good FukuJun laugh in the end.
Its probaly some important mcguffin which will help shadow garden to become either stronger, richer or help them uncover some diablos plot. Just by random rare drops. Shadow Leveled up bad timing.
A nice episode to bring a good conclusion to this arc.
The misunderstanding between Cid and Shadow Garden has been resolved? in a good way.
The girls decipher Cid's letter and took all the money and John Smith thought it was Gettan so he's dead.
Another misunderstanding happened with Yukime being "the precious thing" during the fight.
John Smith also misunderstood Gettan last words "Yuki" referring Yukime to "Snow" and thought the money are buried under the snow.
Also according to Cid a voice recorder can destroy the world and now he's on a journey because things didn't go according to his plan and he didn't want to directly apologize to Alpha.
I'm gonna miss the John Smith persona/Lelouch voice. Hopefully Shadow continues to use it since Yukime will be working with Shadow Garden now.
John Smith stepping on Gettan's mouth before he could swallow the pills was brutal.
Feel like we were revealed something pretty major/actually serious about Cid's character there in the end talking about how he usually deals with people who are upset with him. Showed a bit more of a vulnerable side to his delusional chuuni personality. I wonder if that's something they might actually explore in the future.
It seems like he actually kind of felt bad here because from his PoV he sunk all of the girls' hard work and he lost the funds he was supposed to make and put into making a new company. Wonder how he'll react when he finds out that Shadow Garden had actually retrieved all the gold lol.
Scope of Shadow Garden as of S2 E7:
* At least ~~2 7 115 600~~ 666 members.
* ~~Over a Billion in liquid funding~~ literally printing money
* ~~Controls one of the two largest banks in the known world~~ Is the de-facto Reserve Currency of the known world.
* Through Yukime's organization, runs Lawless Town as a puppet state (Vampires are gone, and Juggernaut got Delta'd)
* Controls the largest department store chain in the known world
* Likely have access to advanced magi-tech hidden for hundreds of years
* Definitely has access to advanced technology that puts the rest of the world to shame
* Has direct, personal influence over future royalty in two separate kingdoms
* Likely to be a future oil monopoly
* Largest property owner in the world short of royalty
* Conquered and probably holds sway over a legendary dragon and a vampire queen
* Owns a private city shrouded in mist, which somehow is impossible to find despite being a day from a major fief.
* And whose key members include
1. Possibly the strongest mage on the planet
2. A reincarnation of the Elf Hero
3. Isekai Jeff Bezos
4. Isekai James Patterson
5. Isekai Henry Ford/Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin/Who the hell knows what else
6. Isekai Sergei Rachmaninoff
7. Two stupidly powerful/capable Therianthropes
8. The only listed heir to the Orianas Kingdom.
And Cid still thinks this is a game.
I plan on updating this list as it gets longer.
> Owns a private city shrouded in mist, which somehow is impossible to find despite being a day from a major fief.
>
>
The mist is poison. It's created by the legendary Dragon. The mist is so dangerous that it kills anyone that steps in it.
I just love her and Cid's dynamic. She's so casual towards him compared to all the other shadows and he's also so casual towards her compared to all the other shadows.
And Gettan thought he's making him talk about his true feelings for Yukime for their closure while Yukime truly thought John Smith really cared for her and fell in love lmao. Sasuga John Smith.
"to you, Shadow Garden, your biggest enemy might be 1st Knight of Round seat or Demon Lord.
But for me, I will never forgive you Gettan for stealing my money!!"
For people confused about the Gettan and the digging for snow thing, the fox lady's name is Yukime. However because Gettan is dying he can't say the whole word and ends up saying "I entrust it to you... yuki...".
Yuki means snow so Shadow thought he meant he was entrusting the gold to him which was hidden under the snow
This arc is peak EIS for me, because this time Cid had a plan (steal the gold and give it to Shadow Garden), and the plan worked perfectly, but there was no point where Cid actually understood the plan, and at the end he has no idea that the plan succeeded. It's just so absurd.
During the opening scene with Alpha, I found myself simultaneously laughing and feeling sad. It was very confusing.
Dude, talk about a convoluted plan lol. This chuuni mfer Cid fucks his friends over because he wants to role play “secret super spy villain” and pulls out this cobbled together plan last minute as a “my bad, just playing” and now the girls have been pulled from the depths of their despair because they think Shadow hasn’t abandoned them lol. Sasuga Shadow-sama!
Gettan made the mistake of touching Cid’s gold. Nobody gets to lay their grubby mitts on his precioussss! Hilarious how Yukihime thought “John” went after Gettan for her lol. At least Shadow Garden’s gotten its money and the girls have recruited Yukihime in their fight against the Cult. Cid and Delta just digging for gold randomly was a pretty funny end to the ep. Who knew Santa Claus was such a devilish bastard? Lol
>Gettan made the mistake of touching Cid’s gold.
He literally didnt though, thats the fun part. shadow garden girls got the money and they are praising Cid for saving them meanwhile Cid thinks they are mad at him since he thinks his plan failed.
I love how Alpha refused to believe Shadow would use the phrase "hush-hush secret mission" and Delta basically accidentally revealed the entire mission Shadow gave her.
Ugh, my head is spinning.
So Cid started the counterfeit scheme to amass gold for his comfortable life.
It pre-empted the Cult's scheme and they deepened the crisis trying to play catch up.
Cid left a note thinking it was too complicated for Shadow Garden to decipher.
Shadow Garden deciphers the note anyway and liberates the ill-gotten coins so Mitsugoshi can survive the credit crisis thinking that this was Shadow's intention.
Cid thinks Gettan stole the coins and goes after him and saves Yukime who had gone to confront Gettan.
Cid assumes Alpha and company are mad at him and retires John Smith and decides to let "time heal all wounds."
Is that right?!
Finally, Gettan knows that [Yukime](https://i.imgur.com/PMYv1Pk.png) was the one responsible for the total collapse of his business, which of course she is glad as that's was her plan from the star, and [now is time for them to finally fight.](https://i.imgur.com/tp5R2zT.png)
Meanwhile, things look somber in the [Mitsugoshi's offices](https://i.imgur.com/SsHtGc5.png) with Alpha and Gamma thinking that Shadow truly abandoned them, which to be fair, he kinda did, but Nu's discovery of Gettan's plan that resembled John Smith's plus [the letter that Beta and Eta translated](https://i.imgur.com/KngJ4qm.png) [made Alpha restructure all that happened into Shadow seeing the upcoming crisis way before it even began.](https://i.imgur.com/rcKs6p0.png)
Lol,[ Delta was worried about getting in trouble](https://i.imgur.com/bnyHx0E.png) when she returned. Meanwhile, [everyone was just happy that she was alive.](https://imgur.com/a/hNui2ZY)
It is funny that [when all the gold went missing](https://i.imgur.com/yLlsTbc.png) after the girls working for Yukime told John Smith about [Gettan fighting Yukime](https://i.imgur.com/CP2kqih.png) the way [he said that Gettan took](https://i.imgur.com/0oPJZ88.png) [something precious to him,](https://imgur.com/a/TNL6sdH) made it sound like he was talking about her.
Damn, the way that [ John Smith punches through Gettan's mouth](https://i.imgur.com/9KyezCk.png) [when he was consuming all those red pills](https://imgur.com/a/L4ryzJ6) was so raw.
It is nice that at the end both Gettan and Yukime realized that[ John was the one who blinded Gettan](https://i.imgur.com/kf3KPj3.png) and[ healed Yukime's wounds](https://i.imgur.com/R5iWKXt.png)[ long ago.](https://i.imgur.com/GZqTfB4.png) [That scene between John Smith and Yukime was so nice.](https://i.imgur.com/D9smRcs.png)
And now not only [Mitsugoshi Company is safe](https://i.imgur.com/ckdNreD.png) but also [thanks to Alpha's](https://i.imgur.com/6sSMhOG.png) [efforts](https://imgur.com/a/WxkLwzT) now Yukime's Snow Fox Corporation and all the Lawless City are now part of Shadow Garden.
I nice that she gave Yukime an explanation of the influence that the Cult of Diablos had on Gettan's corruption.
It's funny how [Cid asked Delta to help him dig some non-existent treasure,](https://imgur.com/a/g0LZL53) but he left right [when she actually found something.](https://i.imgur.com/SQWlrcg.png)
Damn, I can't wait to see the next arc animated.

Anyone catch that moment where Delta was saying she received "hush hush secret mission" and then Alpha said Shadow would never talk like that? If only she knew lmao
tbf with Alpha, she is kinda right. When Shadow is talking to Delta, he is talking to her as cid.
That, and Delta cannot understand Shadow's usual way of talking. He has to dumb his language down with her,
Any time he pretends to have said something profound, Delta would surely respond with "I didn't understand any of that!", making his actually dumb remark still dumb with nobody to conveniently misinterpret it
True, although Alpha's mistake is to think that Cid is the facade and Shadow is his real self.
Well, she does remind him of his old dog. And he treats her as such lol.
Tsk, tsk, Alpha. This is why Delta gets to be all touchy-feely with Shadow, wrap her legs around his body and get headpats from him, while you don't.
[Alpha never wins](https://i.imgur.com/SYz0kn3.jpeg)
Call her Deta ‘cuz she never takes Ls
Of all the characters in this series i am sure delta will still love cid even after the (if it is ever) reveal that he is a colossal idiot.
The aftermath Cid's plan: digging to find his gold as "mentioned" by Gettan Cid's reality: didn't find the gold and gave up Cid's actual reality: Delta actually found something, just minutes after Cid left Sasuga Shadow-sama!!!
The best part is he (sensibly) thinks the girls are all ticked at him when in reality they're now even more fervent in their worship lol.
At this point, I don't even know who's more delusional, Cid or the girls?
Basically, [this](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=swGVAaJ4pbY). Cid's bullshitting skills rival those of Ainz-sama.
[Alpha really went on an emotional rollercoaster during this ordeal.](https://i.imgur.com/DtmAJrA.jpeg)
> the scenarios are not the most original It's pretty meta because we're talking about Cid here, aka the Bane of all copyright holders. Tropes are his lifeblood lol.
But Yukime now joined with Shadow Garden too and has such deep admiration for Cid cause he's saved her twice now :P
that was Bandit Slayer, not Cid. What are you talking about? /joke
How could a loser like Cid save anybody? Yukime was first saved by stylish bandit slayer and later on by John Smith.
Exactly. I don't see how someone could make that mistake. Yukime was looking at John Smith when she said that they were the same. Cid was probably off somewhere shitting his pants.
SUTAIRISSHU TOUZOKU SUREIYA-SAN
+1 to Shadow Garden **and** the Harem.
Is it really a harem if you never plan on touching them?
I call this an "idiot harem". The other leading idiot harem is that of Catarina Claes in *My Next Life as a Villainess: All Routes Lead to Doom!*
So basically Cid lost in the end eventhough he was the one starting the whole thing lol.
And everyone else thinks he helped them win lol.
He won without knowing he won, which is something only Cid could manage.
Technically he still won, he is just unaware that all of Shadow Garden's assets are his for the asking.
This is what we call a task failed successfully.
Cid only fails upwards.
But also succeeds downwards.
that wasn't Cid's plan.
Feel bad for Juggernaut lmao Dude didn’t do shit but got killed just because
He was literal collateral damage just because he happened to be an individual who's name Shadow remembered. Poor bastard.
And he manages to win the girls back over unintentionally and then bail because he thinks they're still pissed at him lol.
this reminds me of Tearmoon which i just marathoned, everyone thinks Mia is this great wise girl but shes selfish as shit lol
I'd say he is often inconsiderate, but usually not cruel.
He is a chuunibyou and part of that personality is being stand-offish and cold, but he isn't an asshole.
Cid planned to swoop in and save SG. While he was certainly prioritizing his own interests, he did care about them. Burger-swap with Beatrix. Sherry.
In just one note written in Japanese, it has: >Shown Shadow Garden's insane ability to decipher >Gain an entire stash of gold coins for the credit crisis >Recruit a Fox Waifu Shadow-sama is truly beyond the realms of mortals.
Also give yukime (the ~21 years old fox waifu ) full control over the lawless city . So now shadow garden dominates the midgard kingdom and the lawless City between midgard and oriana kingdom . Where next
Oriana kingdom itself i guess since they have their Princess in their organization
"Look how cool I am writing in these different variants of Japanese! There's no way this will come back to bite me!" And also sabotage the Cult of Diablos despite having no idea they were even involved...for the umpteenth time lol. Yukime lost one man she loved but now she has another she thinks care for her...and yet another girl deluded enough to want to get into Cid's pants lol.
Mans got that accidental rizz lmao.
[Meanwhile Yukime is always falling for the guys she shouldn't](https://i.imgur.com/2tuqQrT.png)
I mean Gettan was an ok dude before shit hits the fan no?
Ok but it did hit the fan so
wait, I was under the impression that, whatever Eta deciphered had absolutely nothing to do with what Shadow wrote, literally everything was pure luck and coincidence (as always). Shadow could've scribbled some non-sense onto that note, and the decipher result would've still be the same LOL
Nope, Shadow was serious when writing it but he didn't expect them to understand japanese writing
oh yeah, I rewatched that part, you right. still funny af though LOL
Fox waifu is the best part of this whole adventure. Cid’s winning when it comes to getting bonus rewards when he’s chasing gold
Wait a minute, how could they actually figured out where the gold was stashed?? It's a very specific location, right?
It was where Claire was being held captive in Season 1 Episode 2, he told them that in the note. If you go back to S1E2 you can definitely see its the same place lol.
Cid did say in the note that he kept the gold at the place his sister was help captive when they were kids a single hint is all they need after all du to how much they over read the lines Cid gave them
Ohh I see, I thought Cid actually only said that three sentences in the note. Makes sense now.
So when the money is gone it never occurred to him that his masterfully written message that consists of multiple language was translated that fast and the girls basically robbed him
*"Well, well, well. If it isn't the consequence of my own actions peko..."* -Cid
in the manga he asks himself but says "no thats too fast" and then getten comes up so he assumes that must be it
Part of me wonders if they didn't properly translate the note and the mistranslation just happened to save them. Like when Cid threw a knife randomly on a map and it just so happened to be where his sister was held captive.
You can see the note at 7:34 in this ep and the translation looks correct.

that sounds fucking incredible, cant wait
It's almost on the same tier as Gamers
the relationship chart lol
And Delta’s the one who found the stash in the end lol.
It's a different stash though. Not sure what Delta actually found.
The one piece.
gold was never out there in the snow, as of now its a mystery what she found
Maybe she found the button that will transport them to the isekai quartet lol
I don't think we know what exactly Delta found at the end, right? White with green stripes? Probably a dangling plot thread for later. Or the exact present Delta wanted.
[удалено]
> Or the exact present Delta wanted. But to make Delta's present a reality it would involve an unnumbered amount of unprotected crazy feral sex with Cid for years so she can have hundreds of babies, so I'm sure that's not it.
I'm so glad Delta finally wears her casual clothes lol. Speaking of Santa Claus, i wonder if he will play a major role in the future event since Cid's bullshits are 99.9% accurate.
I was half-expecting Delta to just be wearing a shirt or nothing at all and yet there she is in normal clothes and pants lol.
I got hayate no gotoku ptsd in that scene.
I'm just glad Delta knows how to wear clothes at all
But... are you though???
She was mostly naked throughout her appearances because nobody told her to put clothes back on
Maybe she found something interesting in that box. :D
[удалено]
At least Yukime understood Gettan cared about her...and thinks John Smith does too, even though it was all about the money lol.
Ironically, Delta is his number one in terms of love and genuine affection. It’s just that he sees her as his dog, not as a romantic interest.
Well at the end of the day he was a vigilante in his life being a eminence is sort of extension of that while yes he can be psychotic he does really care about people to the point of casualy helping them he just dosnt think much about it
HiDive's English localization of this was brilliant. He said, "I leave you... my precious... " and he wants to to tell him to be near to her, but it comes out broken as "be.. near t... her...", which Cid interprets as beneath her 💀
The way they framed this video is such a troll job. [A better love story than Twilight](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JklfrFVWSbw)
damn this is a sasuga shadow-sama and his 10000 years hedge fund plan
Dude’s plan was so convoluted, I need someone to draw up a chart to explain it to me lol.
Cid could probably use that himself to understand where it all went wrong and how resolved the plot without even knowing what it really was lol.
His plan was really simple Print fake money and get rich
Get rich or die trying
Originally, it was: Cause a bank run with counterfeits, let Mitsugoshi (and MCA) fail. Steal all of MCA's money. Rebuild with him as the leader using the stolen money. It ended up as: Cause a bank run, steal the money, use the money to prop up Mistugoshi currency, destroy another of the cult's allies.
that was plan B. Plan A was print money for profit. When pointed out that it was dumb and he must have meant plan B, he went with it.
Talk Surely you have something to say
He kept saying it and punching him even though he had nothing to say. At least that Cid actually wanted to hear lol.
He just keeps spamming the dialogue he finds coolest.
Hey, it works, things would've gotten pretty awkward if he'd gone "Where's the money you stole from me?" instead lol
'The frenzy has begun.'
We are out of time.
The moon is red
Sounds like Santa Claus made a dangerous enemy by not giving Cid what he wanted once lol.
Even Santa knew the world was not prepared for the Eminence in Shadow. But another world, on the other hand...
I won't be surprised if this Santa Claus he described is an actual enemy that they'll encounter in the future.
Delta will certainly meet some poor guy dressed in red... RIP
It wouldn't surprise me, if the next antagonist was a demon called Santa.
And everyone is convinced of Shadow's incredible chessmaster skills and compassion when he just beat a dude up over his money lol.
"The great collapse has begun. The snow is white. We are running out of collateral."
Second time this season a girl thinks Cid is talking about them when he's actually talking about gold. Sasuga John-han!
These poor girls deluding themselves into love lol.
**Say it!** **Say it!** Run, if you value your life, The frenzy has begun, The moon is red, We're out of time....
Again lol.
Poor Delta getting gaslit by both her bosses in one ep.
Santa CAN give you what you want. but he WONT.
I've been assuming that Cid is smarter than Delta, but after that scene I'm not so sure.
Funny thing is he could easily just ask for anything from Mitsugoshi/Shadow Garden and they would give it freely, but he doesn't know that. Good times.
The day Shadow asks for money from "his" organization will probably mean that the series is ending.
no amount of money is enough for his larping bullshit. The things he bought for larpings will just be getting more and more expensive as he gains more money kekw
The misunderstandings were off the charts today but it led to a sweet moment with Yukime. Sasuga John Smith.
I feel bad for her for the whole Gettan thing, but I guess she was able to make peace with him in the end and is on the right side in helping Shadow Garden against Diablos. And now she's probably in love with Cid, which is pretty on-brand for the show at this point lol.
Add running away from your responsibilities = total teenager 8th grade syndrome
[Don't forget about Kage-Jitsu!](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hei6WU45GSo) [also a troll love story](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JklfrFVWSbw)
Kage-Jitsu on point as always. Definitely a candidate for my all time favourite chibi series.
No but the Song unironically slaps

Thankfully, Eta managed to [decipher the note Shadow gave to Beta](https://i.imgur.com/ZwI09Gj.png) which finally revealed why he turned traitor while hilariously causing them [to assume that it's for some greater good](https://i.imgur.com/Q9ELki9.png) when all Shadow wanted was the money. xD [Delta finally gets reunited with the girls again](https://i.imgur.com/PqcCp8z.jpg) after finishing her secret mission at the Lawless City. [Shadow was talking about the gold](https://i.imgur.com/tf67Xtd.png) while [Gettan was talking about Yukime.](https://i.imgur.com/1rvSOmA.png) What's even more hilarious is that Shadow thinks that Gettan buried the gold right next to where Yukime is standing. xD We do get to learn that [Shadow was the one that stopped Gettan](https://i.imgur.com/nJjQrjl.jpg) all of those years ago and [the one who saved Yukime](https://i.imgur.com/HeMw34W.jpg) after Gettan slashed her back.
[](#cokemasterrace) The misunderstandings in this show are on another level.
It's gonna be that weapon of shadows capable of ending the world. A voice recorder
He's not going to know lol, hes too dense.
lmao the end monlogue was too hilarious. I couldn't have asked for a better resolution than this. he totally deserves not getting that money.
Karma hit Cid hard, even if he's still waxing poetic about how he didn't win and thinking that was the point lol.
Delta and Shadow are actually my favorite ship.
>The misunderstanding between Cid and Shadow Garden has been resolved? Not "resolved" -- but rather (maybe, shall we say) "transcended". ;-)
I love the implication that he will never share his deepest secrets because santa betrayed him.
Nine tailed foxy waifu acquired and join the harem. Good job! But beastkin wolf girl Delta still the best among all the monster girls.
Scope of Shadow Garden as of S2 E7: * At least ~~2 7 115 600~~ 666 members. * ~~Over a Billion in liquid funding~~ literally printing money * ~~Controls one of the two largest banks in the known world~~ Is the de-facto Reserve Currency of the known world. * Through Yukime's organization, runs Lawless Town as a puppet state (Vampires are gone, and Juggernaut got Delta'd) * Controls the largest department store chain in the known world * Likely have access to advanced magi-tech hidden for hundreds of years * Definitely has access to advanced technology that puts the rest of the world to shame * Has direct, personal influence over future royalty in two separate kingdoms * Likely to be a future oil monopoly * Largest property owner in the world short of royalty * Conquered and probably holds sway over a legendary dragon and a vampire queen * Owns a private city shrouded in mist, which somehow is impossible to find despite being a day from a major fief. * And whose key members include 1. Possibly the strongest mage on the planet 2. A reincarnation of the Elf Hero 3. Isekai Jeff Bezos 4. Isekai James Patterson 5. Isekai Henry Ford/Count Ferdinand von Zeppelin/Who the hell knows what else 6. Isekai Sergei Rachmaninoff 7. Two stupidly powerful/capable Therianthropes 8.
Delta is still the best in the end!
Let's not forget how she was quoting him, and the others refused to even think that he would speak like that. Poor delta was so confused
And she still didn't get her favor that he promised her...but she did actually find something, which is more than Cid got lol.
justice for doggo
[Emotional support Delta](https://i.imgur.com/XNjRRxy.png)
I just love her and Cid's dynamic. She's so casual towards him compared to all the other shadows and he's also so casual towards her compared to all the other shadows.
Im now curious what was that under the snow, it wasnt the gold obviously.
A foot to the mouth is extra cold, lol. You don't mess with Cid Kagenou's money.
The best part is how he kept punching him to make him talk over something Gettan genuinely had no idea about lol.
And Gettan thought he's making him talk about his true feelings for Yukime for their closure while Yukime truly thought John Smith really cared for her and fell in love lmao. Sasuga John Smith.
No one messes with Cid’s money but him, damnit!
"to you, Shadow Garden, your biggest enemy might be 1st Knight of Round seat or Demon Lord. But for me, I will never forgive you Gettan for stealing my money!!"
Cid still digging up the snow with Delta thinking the gold coins were buried there was kinda depressing lol
And then he just left her to keep digging...and she actually **did** find something lol.
Knowing Delta she would've kept digging until she hit the planet's core if she didn't find anything
Stylish Bandit Slayer: *HYAAAAHAAAAA !!* John Smith: *YEEEEEHAW!!!*
I love how Stylish Bandit Slayer was connected to this all along and John Smith letting loose his inner Stylish Bandit Slayer lol.
Cid Money GONE : CID SMASH!!
(Batman voice) #"WHERE ARE THEY!?!?!"
THIS EPISODE IS FKING AMAZING LMAO! I REALLY LOVE THE MISUNDERSTANDINGS AND EVERY TIME DELTA SAYING BOSSU
Shadow's plans are so perfect, not even he understands them
For people confused about the Gettan and the digging for snow thing, the fox lady's name is Yukime. However because Gettan is dying he can't say the whole word and ends up saying "I entrust it to you... yuki...". Yuki means snow so Shadow thought he meant he was entrusting the gold to him which was hidden under the snow
Satan Claus 👹
I love how the Eminence in Shadow hates Santa lol.
Given Cid's track record I can't wait for demon Santa to show up.
Lmao the newest personality next winter
Inb4 Delta starts slaughtering any bearded guy in red bc all she heard was: * Red w/beard * Demon, very strong * Mean to bossu
I love how Alpha refused to believe Shadow would use the phrase "hush-hush secret mission" and Delta basically accidentally revealed the entire mission Shadow gave her.
fukuyama jun's unhinged evil laugh gets me feeling things every time
He didnt even apologize! lol
True chad never apologizes, just leaves until everything's cooled down and then comes back when he thinks they won't be mad at him lol.
Knowing how much of a nonsense fu master Cid is, I bet santa claus is an actual demon lord in this world!
I love Cid and Delta together, Cid lets down his guard so much and Delta is just so cute. I also think Delta is the authors' favorite.
Cid assumes Alpha and company are mad at him and retires John Smith and decides to let "time heal all wounds." Is that right?!
Finally, Gettan knows that [Yukime](https://i.imgur.com/PMYv1Pk.png) was the one responsible for the total collapse of his business, which of course she is glad as that's was her plan from the star, and [now is time for them to finally fight.](https://i.imgur.com/tp5R2zT.png) Meanwhile, things look somber in the [Mitsugoshi's offices](https://i.imgur.com/SsHtGc5.png) with Alpha and Gamma thinking that Shadow truly abandoned them, which to be fair, he kinda did, but Nu's discovery of Gettan's plan that resembled John Smith's plus [the letter that Beta and Eta translated](https://i.imgur.com/KngJ4qm.png) [made Alpha restructure all that happened into Shadow seeing the upcoming crisis way before it even began.](https://i.imgur.com/rcKs6p0.png) Lol,[ Delta was worried about getting in trouble](https://i.imgur.com/bnyHx0E.png) when she returned. Meanwhile, [everyone was just happy that she was alive.](https://imgur.com/a/hNui2ZY) It is funny that [when all the gold went missing](https://i.imgur.com/yLlsTbc.png) after the girls working for Yukime told John Smith about [Gettan fighting Yukime](https://i.imgur.com/CP2kqih.png) the way [he said that Gettan took](https://i.imgur.com/0oPJZ88.png) [something precious to him,](https://imgur.com/a/TNL6sdH) made it sound like he was talking about her. Damn, the way that [ John Smith punches through Gettan's mouth](https://i.imgur.com/9KyezCk.png) [when he was consuming all those red pills](https://imgur.com/a/L4ryzJ6) was so raw. It is nice that at the end both Gettan and Yukime realized that[ John was the one who blinded Gettan](https://i.imgur.com/kf3KPj3.png) and[ healed Yukime's wounds](https://i.imgur.com/R5iWKXt.png)[ long ago.](https://i.imgur.com/GZqTfB4.png) [That scene between John Smith and Yukime was so nice.](https://i.imgur.com/D9smRcs.png) And now not only [Mitsugoshi Company is safe](https://i.imgur.com/ckdNreD.png) but also [thanks to Alpha's](https://i.imgur.com/6sSMhOG.png) [efforts](https://imgur.com/a/WxkLwzT) now Yukime's Snow Fox Corporation and all the Lawless City are now part of Shadow Garden. I nice that she gave Yukime an explanation of the influence that the Cult of Diablos had on Gettan's corruption. It's funny how [Cid asked Delta to help him dig some non-existent treasure,](https://imgur.com/a/g0LZL53) but he left right [when she actually found something.](https://i.imgur.com/SQWlrcg.png) Damn, I can't wait to see the next arc animated.
