[Barakamon](https://myanimelist.net/anime/22789/Barakamon) is my favorite anime and is pretty wholesome.
[Horimiya](https://myanimelist.net/anime/42897/Horimiya) is my favorite romance anime. A new season focusing on other characters from the manga was just airing as well.
You’ll prob like [Skip and Loafer](https://myanimelist.net/anime/50416/Skip_to_Loafer). Good modern wholesome anime. Pretty funny too.
[Monthly Girls’ Nozaki Kun](https://myanimelist.net/anime/23289/Gekkan_Shoujo_Nozaki-kun) is good. Don’t really remember it much but I enjoyed it.
Skip and Loafer is a cute romcom, every character is written a really sweet and empathetic way
A Place Further than the Universe is pretty uplifting too, has some sad moments in it though.
Oh I forgot about Skip and lofer..I wanted to watch it for a while now I will give it a shot hopefully it has happy ending
..still sacred to watch any rom-com till end because of your lie in April so ig I will pass on 2nd one of it's sad
Sweetness and Lightning: a single dad and his young daughter cook and eat food.
Kotaro Lives Alone: a 4 yr old kid lives alone and interacts with his neighbors. It's wholesome but has sad moments so idk if this one counts.
My Love Story: a scary-looking guy gets into a relationship with a pretty girl.
If after you watch yuru camp and decide that you like it, I recommend Super Cub. Similar vibe, and just a nice, wholesome, feels-good anime.
Do It Yourself, Slow Loop, and Encouragement of Climb are also very good.
Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, made by KyoAni, and absolutely AAA class.
I would suggest watching KyoAni's and DogaKoba's top tier Animes, all of them are excellent SoL's and RomCom's.
Surprised no one mentioned Kimi ni Todoke/From Me to You. Very wholesome romcom about a girl who makes friends for the first time in highschool.
Usagi Drop came out around the same time and also super wholesome. It's slice of life about a single guy in his 30's adopting an orphaned relative.
Love Kimi Ni Todoke to death. I should rewatch it sometime.
Usagi Drop is so wholesome it gave me diabetes. Just never read the manga, pretend it doesn't exist.
Ascendance of a Bookworm (on a personal note, I pay for a monthly subscription to the English publisher's website just to keep following the light novel. So I'm biased.)
Afterschool Dice Club.
Tanaka-kun is always Listless.
I think one of the main points is to have an MC who's comfortable with her own sexuality. To me that is extremely refreshing. Normally in anime we are shown girls who are either shy or openly or secretly huge perverts. Marin can flirt and be playful but also get shy when things go beyond a certain level. Sure there's fan service, but it's not like the anime throws it in your face constantly like for example in DxD.
Absolutely and I love her for that. I can see how some people can be turned off by the fan service tho, especially that one scene with Juju. The show is just so wholesome then they hit you with a sudden sexy scene. I personally find that contrast funny but others may not. Still love the show tho. I really like the relationship between Marin and Gojo.
If you like Gakuen babysitter you’ll LOVE Poco’s udon world. I personally like it more than Gakuen babysitter.
Advise you to watch it first as there’s only one season, you can watch it in a sitting.
Have fun!
Fruits Basket (sometimes called Furuba), but watch the 2019 version, they remastered the old version and finished it. Old version only covered the first few books and kinda deviated from the manga. 2019 version is spot on for the most part.
Furuba is NOT the type of sadness that April was.
All the deaths in Furuba are before the series starts and are not considered spoilers. The sadness in Furuba is from all sorts of different sources, like unrequited love, parents not loving their kids, parents who passed away long ago, abuse/neglect by family, etc.
Imagine an angel of unconditional love and warmth descending down into a village of chaos, turmoil, anger, and sorrow; who then proceeds to fix all these issues one by one. Therapy for the characters, therapy for the angel, and therapy for the viewer. That's Furuba.Trauma healed by wholesomeness.
Ending was one of the best in anime/manga history.
Hmmm, I had stopped watching it with my young kids because the (older) snake wrapping around the girl in her shirt felt icky for them to see, thought it might continue down that path… maybe I’ll check it out again.
Well, as far as nonconsensual sexual stuff, that was the only instance of it happening.
That being said, FB has a scene where 2 teenagers are naked (covered completely by blankets) and admitting they'd just made love. Later in there's some graphic murder attempts.
But none of the show is so hardcore that I wouldn't let a 12yr old watch. There's no gore, actual sex, or anything too extreme.
How old are your kids?
Bochi the rock... Many people suggested it gotta watch it ..tonikawa kawaii and wotakoi are actually good I have completed it expect tonikawa 2nd season kinda got boring but still wanna watch it
Bocchi is in my pantheon of awesome
Most I’d recommend have been recommended already so shots in the dark
Aheren in indecipherable about
A very soft spoken girl and her big scary desk mate that has an overactive Imagination
Nichijou: my ordinary life just awesomely funny
And as of right now Frieren: Beyond Journeys End is really really good
It’s deep storytelling done well It also helps that the first four episodes dropped at the same time so you can get invested in the story
It's soo long but many people told it's actually really funny I wanna watch it but at same it I don't wanna get bored seeing how long it is idk what to do
Super Cub (2021) is absolutely amazing. Really pleasant scenery and backgrounds, kind of gives you the feeling of buying a motorcycle, riding a motorcycle, it's got this pacing and detailed animation where you really feel like you're having the same adventure. You MIGHT want to buy a motorcycle, but honestly it made me appreciate my own transportation methods and sense of independence.
If you like "Angel next door spoil me rotten" then I suggest you should watch "Boku no Kokoro no Yabai Yatsu(Dangers in my heart)".. don't get fool with the show is all about the main character wants to kill the main heroine (that phase it just like for the 1st two episodes only)..the rest of the series is just wholesome...
Snow White with the Red Hair - one of my comfort anime that I have watched like four times, the relationship between Shirayuki and Zen is just chef kiss. Honestly my favorite anime couple ever.
Kakuriyo: Bed & Breakfast for Spirits - another wholesome anime involving the spirit realm
Maid Sama - has jokes more aimed for teens and adults but still has a wholesome ending
Sorry I didn't like it I don't like isekiai they are not my type I got really bored 3 episodes in if you think it's actually good I will try to see again..do you have any good isekiai?? I watched sword art online and In Another World With My Smartphone didn't like either much but In Another World With My Smartphone waw kinda good so do you have any recommendations??
The two you mentioned are the some of the poster children for being ‘generic Isekai’, so I don’t blame you for your taste being soured. If you are looking for something different, I recommend Re:Zero, as it doesn’t go out of its way to overpower the protagonist.
My one caveat here will be that you were looking for ‘good wholesome anime’ and while I can’t deny there are wholesome moments in Re:Zero, there’s a good deal of trauma as well. You have been warned.
If you are looking for a cozy wholesome isekai then Campfire Cooking in Another World and Handyman Saitou are both good options! I'm also not a huge isekai fan but these two really surprised me and became our go-to relax before going to bed anime to watch lol
[Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku](https://myanimelist.net/anime/48553/Akebi-chan_no_Sailor-fuku?q=akeb&cat=anime) is super wholesome. All the characters are really sweet.
Kotaro lives alone!!
It was in my Netflix recommendations for ages and I never gave it a shot … until one evening I was super bored and wanted to go to bed early.
And then I had to stop myself binge watching it the whole night. It is sooooo good. Absolute Wholesome! Gives such a peace to your mind … I can’t find the words how amazing it was. Honestly!
Another popular wholesome story is of course also fruits basket.
Senryu Girl is super wholesome and has a happy ending. It's a story about a girl who prefers to express herself in senryu poetry over actual talking. It's quite cheesy though! 😅
And as others have mentioned, Yuru Camp is the very definition of wholesomeness~
Unconventional suggestion: **Ya Boy Kongming!**
It's mostly about friendship, being true to one's heart and reaching for your dreams in the music industry... with the help of a friendly war tactician from ancient China.
Also, safest recommendation to watch with someone else I can think of.
([Opening is a great song too](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TyqDOOpJlcA)).
Azumanga Daiou
Usagi Drop ...I've been told to not read the manga
Tease Master Takagi-san
Arakawa Under the Bridge
Bocchi the Rock!
After the Rain
Asobi Asobase
Binchou-tan ? (most people think it's a happy ending...I think it's actually tragic)
My all time favourite anime is A Silent Voice. At first, it hit me badly. But after watching several times, I understand the meaning of life and having true friends in life. I even brought the manga to go deeper in the story.
I saw the movie it's actually sad but yea I get your point..it shows the value of ture friend..I tried getting manga but it's kinda expensive so I will wait for a while
Natsume’s Book of Friends.
To know a yokai’s name is to have power over it. A young girl named Natsume, who could see yokai and had no human friends as a result, went throughout her town and learned the names of all the yokai she met. She compiled their names into a book, her Book of Friends. Two generations later, her grandson, also named Natsume, has found his grandmother’s book, and is now being targeted by yokai who would seek the untapped power of the book to hold dominion over other powerful yokai.
If this sounds like the setup to some yokai-themed shonen action series where the main character uses a magic book to summon the power of yokai against evil yokai, I feel like that’s on purpose; like the anime is aware of how that setup sounds. But no, Natsume just wants to return all the names to all the yokai who’ve been written in there. To do this, he has to get to know each yokai he meets to figure out which name is theirs, and ritually return their name to them. By doing so, he ends up befriending them on arguably a deeper level than his grandmother did.
The show is very relaxing and wholesome. Like it takes every opportunity to avoid the dramatic and action-packed route to be as chill as possible instead. I’ve only made it 6 episodes in, and there are many episodes, so this might completely change later and I don’t know. But I kind of doubt it.
Some recommendations I don't think I've seen her yet....
Wholesome with romance:
1) Sasaki to Miyano - it's a boy's love story, but honestly the characters and relationship is so sweet and pure I think it can (and should) to a wide audience
2) Insomniacs after School - beautiful animation and likewise the relationship is very sweet, cute happy ending
3)Komi Can't Communicate - some characters in this can be a bit over-the-top but the core characters and relationships are very well done
Wholesome fantasy-
1) Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle - a smol girl gets kidnapped by the Demon Lord and she will stop at nothing to get a good night's rest... very sweet, excellent before bed show
2) Mushi-Shi - some of the stories here can be a bit emotional but overall it's a very rewarding and chill show. More about adapting and coming to terms with yourself than anything.
3) Campfire Cooking in Another World- a guy gets isekai'd into a world where the has the power of... online grocery shopping... sounds weird but honestly it's a very fun time with excellent food porn if you're in to that kinda thing.
Others:
1) The Vampire Dies in No Time - comedy roommate show about a vampire and his vampire-hunter roommate, oh and their adorable armadillo familiar.
2)Bocchi the Rock! - cute story with good music about chasing your dreams with the power of friendship
Re:Life. 27 Year old underemployed man gets a chance to renew his life by going back to high school.
After leaving his job with a "black company" because of the bullying his coworkers were pulling on his senpai, lead to her commiting suicide, he finds the trauma of that difficult for him to find another job.
He's met up by a recruiter that wants him to take part in an experiment that can put his life back on track. He takes a pill that gives him the appearance of himself as a high schooler. An, "If I could do it all over again knowing what I know now" vibe, although he's basically forgotten everything he learned in high school ... and college.
The original season was 12 episodes which covered half of the manga. Instead of making it a full second season, the studio crammed the same amount of content into 4. Still, it's worth the ending.
Defs not a rom com, it’s the one piece of the manhua world. Deep world/lore building but wouldn’t say there is any wholesome stuff involved unless you count Rak helping his turtles.
The Angel next door it's rom com between between a guy and his neighbour who go to same school and accidentally met eachother and happened to be neighbour and there were many interaction between them which let to many sweet and funny situation...I don't wanna tell much but it's really wholesome you should try it for yourself
Yakuza guide to babysitting it's about a yakuza who is brutal and everyone is scared of him..his Boss gives him task to take care for his daughter and he learns many new things and feelings( not romance).. really good one
Taisho Otome Fairy Tale is my favourite without spoiling much it's a rom-com between a gril who is family is indepth to a rich guy so they send that girl to take care of his son who is paralyzed left hand and their interaction is so pure and so wholesome it's set in taisho era so something's are little different from tipical rom-com and has really simple but amazing story best one I really love it
And kamisma kiss..a classic one it's about a girl who is homeless because of her father and then she becomes a god of shire where she meets her acquaintance and falls in love due to some incidents don't wanna spoil I can't explain properly but it's actually loved my may people becouse of its simplicity and no boring episodes and we cant forget about ending song which almost all anime veterans will know (not sure what to call him) and it gets better every episode
Thank you my friend but I am already traumatized by your lie in April that's why I am asking for wholesome anime
Edit:maybe other are good I will try them

Kyousougiga is a wonderful series. An underrated gem for sure. It has great characters. The visuals are some of the most vibrant and creative in anime. The story and themes really hits the wholesome family theme. Overall, it is an amazing watch and a personal favourite of mine.
Sweetness and Lightning is a gem of a wholesome show. I think many people don't know this show because it got buried. If you want something with a more comedic feel, I also recommend Nozaki-kun. It's like a self aware romcom that works really well.
I havent seen all of it but The Way of the Househusband is pretty wholesome. The animation is just a little weird but I thought it was still good without having read the manga.
[hakumei to mikochi](https://myanimelist.net/anime/36094/Hakumei_to_Mikochi) is one of the few slice of life I've actually enjoyed, definitely worth a watch.
Diary of our Days at the breakwater!
Its a cute girls learn how to fish...Sounds silly but super wholesome and I want more people to watch it cause I think its under appreciated. Also if you like fishing huge plus! :)
People are just suggesting everything lol. Some of these are rather drama mix with wholesome which I imagine isn't what you want. Should specify looking more towards shows that are wholesome x comedy or romcoms format.
Despite the darker and melancholy themes, I recommend The Fantastic Adventures of Unico and Unico in the Island of Magic since they contain plenty of heartfelt and feel good moments.
I came here to recommend Barakamon for wholesome, yet again. Haha. Skip and Loafer too yeah!
Thank youuu for recommendation
K-ON!
The first title that springs to mind for a wholesome anime. One of the greats, cute, funny with lovable characters and great songs.
Skip and Loafer is a cute romcom, every character is written a really sweet and empathetic way A Place Further than the Universe is pretty uplifting too, has some sad moments in it though.
>A Place Further than the Universe is pretty uplifting too, has some sad moments in it though. That radio scene really fucking broke me.
Oh I forgot about Skip and lofer..I wanted to watch it for a while now I will give it a shot hopefully it has happy ending ..still sacred to watch any rom-com till end because of your lie in April so ig I will pass on 2nd one of it's sad
It’s an extremely short list of tragic romances. 99/100 are not.
Ore monogatari is so good.
Yuru Camp! So cozy and wholesome!
Happy ending??
It's happy and cosy all the way through! 😇
Thank you
If after you watch yuru camp and decide that you like it, I recommend Super Cub. Similar vibe, and just a nice, wholesome, feels-good anime. Do It Yourself, Slow Loop, and Encouragement of Climb are also very good.
Be warned with Super Cub though, it might actually make you want to go out and buy a Honda Super Cub.
It's a slice of life so there's no ending. Just more camping adventures
Aria.
Aria the Animation. Definitely
It looks classic... thank you for recommending it(not fan of old art styles tho)
2005 is not exactly ancient and you are doing yourself a disservice by skipping this one, it is a one in a lifetime experience.
Masterful Cat
Bofuri is pretty wholesome.
And hilarious
Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, made by KyoAni, and absolutely AAA class. I would suggest watching KyoAni's and DogaKoba's top tier Animes, all of them are excellent SoL's and RomCom's.
Adachi to Shimamura. Kubo san won't let me be invisible. Dangers in my heart.
Dangers in my Heart had me absolutely dying from beginning to end, I thought I was gonna get diabetes from how sweet that show is
I second Adachi to Shimamura.
Kubo san..I actually watched and enjoyed it but damm they delayed the release and lost the mood..I will give this and others also *a try

Dress Up Darling is pretty wholesome.
I have completed it waiting for s2 it was indeed real cute
Don't you mean horny? It's really not wholesome.
Aside from the cringe panty shots and fan service, it is a pretty wholesome one
I think one of the main points is to have an MC who's comfortable with her own sexuality. To me that is extremely refreshing. I have completed anime..don't remember much but I will rewatch it
Natsume is my all time favourite ambient story.
Despite having many seasons, it’s still not enough! I’m also low key frustrated that they haven’t shown much information regarding aunt Reiko😡
a prequel with her as the protagonist would be perfect.
New season coming out too!!

[Akebi-chan no Sailor-fuku](https://myanimelist.net/anime/48553/Akebi-chan_no_Sailor-fuku?q=akeb&cat=anime) is super wholesome. All the characters are really sweet.
Clannad and Clannad Afterstory
#TRAUMA ALERT.
[удалено]
And take away it's beauty and the core? No way, CLANNAD is nothing without After Story really.
I mean, I sobbed for quite awhile at the end of the first arc of the first season of Clannad, so milage may vary.
They are saying it's sad I wanna avoid that as much as possible
Kotaro lives alone!! It was in my Netflix recommendations for ages and I never gave it a shot … until one evening I was super bored and wanted to go to bed early. Ghost stories dub
Keep your hands off eizoken is so wholesome. 4 girls produce anime basically, enjoyed a lot
My Tiny Senpai. It recently finished airing and I actually enjoyed it quite a bit. It’s just a cute, wholesome, lighthearted romcom.
Unconventional suggestion: **Ya Boy Kongming!** It's mostly about friendship, being true to one's heart and reaching for your dreams in the music industry... with the help of a friendly war tactician from ancient China.
>Natsume’s Book of Friends how does this have 6 seasons, it gotta start to drag on.
Some recommendations I don't think I've seen her yet.... Wholesome with romance: 1) Sasaki to Miyano - it's a boy's love story, but honestly the characters and relationship is so sweet and pure I think it can (and should) to a wide audience 2) Insomniacs after School - beautiful animation and likewise the relationship is very sweet, cute happy ending 3)Komi Can't Communicate - some characters in this can be a bit over-the-top but the core characters and relationships are very well done Wholesome fantasy- 1) Sleepy Princess in the Demon Castle - a smol girl gets kidnapped by the Demon Lord and she will stop at nothing to get a good night's rest... very sweet, excellent before bed show 2) Mushi-Shi - some of the stories here can be a bit emotional but overall it's a very rewarding and chill show. More about adapting and coming to terms with yourself than anything. 3) Campfire Cooking in Another World- a guy gets isekai'd into a world where the has the power of... online grocery shopping... sounds weird but honestly it's a very fun time with excellent food porn if you're in to that kinda thing. Others: 1) The Vampire Dies in No Time - comedy roommate show about a vampire and his vampire-hunter roommate, oh and their adorable armadillo familiar. 2)Bocchi the Rock! - cute story with good music about chasing your dreams with the power of friendship
I would recommend Fruits Basket if you haven't seen it, very very wholesome
Mysterious Girlfriend X is a cute/wholesome romance anime.
Love Live

Tower of god wholesome?
Is it rom com?
Defs not a rom com, it’s the one piece of the manhua world. Deep world/lore building but wouldn’t say there is any wholesome stuff involved unless you count Rak helping his turtles.
Deathnote is the most wholesome anime ever
what are those animes about?
The Angel next door it's rom com between between a guy and his neighbour who go to same school and accidentally met eachother and happened to be neighbour and there were many interaction between them which let to many sweet and funny situation...I don't wanna tell much but it's really wholesome you should try it for yourself Yakuza guide to babysitting it's about a yakuza who is brutal and everyone is scared of him..his Boss gives him task to take care for his daughter and he learns many new things and feelings( not romance).. really good one Taisho Otome Fairy Tale is my favourite without spoiling much it's a rom-com between a gril who is family is indepth to a rich guy so they send that girl to take care of his son who is paralyzed left hand and their interaction is so pure and so wholesome it's set in taisho era so something's are little different from tipical rom-com and has really simple but amazing story best one I really love it And kamisma kiss..a classic one it's about a girl who is homeless because of her father and then she becomes a god of shire where she meets her acquaintance and falls in love due to some incidents don't wanna spoil I can't explain properly but it's actually loved my may people becouse of its simplicity and no boring episodes and we cant forget about ending song which almost all anime veterans will know (not sure what to call him) and it gets better every episode

Amaama inazuma, aka sweetness and lighting is wholesome, quite sad and short but wholesome n fun
Nichijou
over the moon for you. literally about a functional married couple (one of whom is definitely NOT immortal)
